Buttercup is the sassy tomboy with issues and a soft side.
They're more like "normal little girls", more relatable. They're common archetypes that are easy to understand because they're very familiar.

Blossom has so many ships because so many people have different ideas of her personality. One person might see her as a goody two shoes who would never do anything bad, and another person might see her cracking under all that anxiety, and so on.
