Thermal-transfer is basically a sticker sticked to the clothing by heat. After you wash it a few times, it starts coming off until it completely peels away.
Silk-screen printing or whatever it's called in English is basically paint applied to the clothing through a special material and then warmed up for a moment. It's basically indestructible and takes less time to mass produce, but it's slightly more expensive. You can still get it cheaper than online stores if you can find a small and decent printing company.

I think it would work best if he looked pretty normal but had certain traits that gives away the 'demon in human skin.' Not too pretty not too ugly. Things that would make people around him uneasy but subtle enough to make them unsure as to why. Not blinking, limbs bending further than they should, things shifting out of the corner of their eyes.

Looking obviously sleazy makes his villianry too obvious. He originally tricked the author into thinking he was a friend and I don't think many people would so enthusiastically describe the car salesman character as a 'great guy'.
