Is there any explanation as to why in worlds where there are superheroes with any number of fantastical powers, the world still has to deal with things like cancer and any other number of diseases?
I'm pretty sure that panel you posted explains why pretty clearly
Because they want the comic world to be as similar and relatable to the real world as possible. Whether it makes any fucking sense or not.
Because readers want a world similar to their own but with superheroes (vs pure sci-fi) so any kind of in-universe advancement like that gets handwaved as not enough resources, too expensive, smart character can't figure it out, secret society doesn't want to share, etc.
This is pretty obvious though, could you not figure it out yourself?

I enjoyed it when I read it, but I stopped over a year ago. Not a fault of the webcomic, I just stopped reading a lot of them. I hear the comic's gotten more surreal lately, but I always appreciated Gran taking some artistic risks in the webcomic field.

It seems to be winding down to an ending, so if you ever feel like bingereading something, now would be a good time to do it.

Pretty much the same as this anon except two and a half years ago.
Where's muh storytime
I want to believe there's no storytime because no-one has bought this pile of shit
I'll give you the skinny: Captain Hydra is good in it, Carol is unlikeable, Bendis is the worst
Bendis is not even worth pirating and Thunderbolts already spoiled the fact that they let Miles go anyway so who cares?
But I want to feel apathy today,I need something new to hate about this shitty event
Are there any lovecraft based comics, if so what would you recommend?
Also image is on deviantart, it's a parody and an interesting read

How interested in fish rape are you?
Try Alan Moore's Neonomicon
>>87247640
I actually had a talk about this with a friend I mean I like lovecraft because of the whole "fear of the unknown" and how true horror is more or less lack of an understanding. The whole fish rape thing I know about because I played the dark corners game, I thought it was odd because the whole fish rape mind control stuff wouldn't seem too odd today but early 1900's, boy. I don't know if the fish halfling thing was always a staple but I wouldn't be surprised, HP was kind of an edglord. To answer your question, curious to an extent.
Let's make this one count since it's last Wednesday of October.

Neck yourself.
I don't get why writers like siblings who pretty much hate each other. It's such a common trope in cartoons.
Because most siblings can be cunts to each other. If you grew up with fondness for yours, then yay for you. Here's your fucking prize, now fuck off you shortsighted piece of shit.
you gotta be kidding, you need to get back to school
>Many different things can cause siblings to fight. Most brothers and sisters experience some degree of jealousy or competition, and this can flare into squabbles and bickering.
Because siblings can be annoying as shit. We love them, but that doesn't mean we have to like them.

Two years older than me.
>>87246997
Born in 85, so older by age, but not old enough to remember a world without the Simpsons in it.
>>87246997
I was born in the same year the series started, 1989.

Okay. Jesus.
What made the original series so unique was that it didn't look like any other cartoon before or since. The way it mixed the animation with stock photography backgrounds or overlaid the characters onto old film segments was aesthetically remarkable. It took a lot of care and effort and the end result really paid off.
And it wasn't cheap. They fuckin PAID to use film and TV licenses. So when the characters pretended and played Star Wars, they literally played Star Wars and jumped into scenes from the movie. It gave the show a real world sincerity instead of just having them play generic stuff like cops and robbers or pretend to be legally approximations of popular media.
if the new series can't put forth that sort of effort or expense then it will never match up to the original, which is regarded as a legitimately good piece of children's entertainment for a reason.

Yeah. That's why I'm not even bothering to get invested.
Same with Riddler or any of the others that reformed for a while. No matter how good they get, they can never beat the status quo.
Can't we have it stick, just this once?
