Maybe someone around here can shed light on something I've been chewing on for a while now.
Apparently from what I've heard NGE BDs came with a commentary track for EoTV made by Anno and Higuchi where they gave an official explanation of why Kaworu wasn't present in some scenes. Obviously we don't have them yet (and who knows when they'll be released out of Japan) so... can someone confirm if is that true? if it is, is there any way to hear this? a translation somewhere with a sauce? something? I've always had my opinion/ideas, but it'd the best to hear the official version.

What about Puchi Eva? It was the only one whose mangaka had balls to put an obvious Kawoshin to the point that Kaworu lives in Shinji's home and calls Gendou "otou-san" (father).

I've read the two volumes released of this spinoff and there's no shipping whatsoever. Literally none of it. It's just a comfy SoL of the pilots with the standard fill of Japanese gags and comedy.

There are doujinshi archived in other places, too, though. spluuuuurt and lightsrefrain on tumblr, for example. Unfortunately, lightsrefrain is only accessible via dashboard, now, and read mores don't seem to work in dashboard view, so it looks like there's no getting at those doujins now. Huge bummer, since a lot of the translations were of Supana's works, and I really like Supana.

They're in charge of bringing Eva here as well as the spanish sub+dub. I guess they asked and received that answer. Probably they just were told that it wouldn't come out for 2016, but they know they would have to work on it for a while, so they just added 1+ year there just in case. Or that's what I want to believe at least because I already expected not to see the movie this year, but I had hope for 2017.

And I really hope those BDs are good enough to be waiting for four damn years. I've been tempted to buy the japanese release but I've been holding myself until now.

Huh, what a shame. I thought it was legit (I admit I'm ignorant about the most technical stuff, hence the 'international rights' one here), and I don't get why they lie. I don't know much about ADV but it seems from what I've read from you guys sometimes they did it to fuel their shipping fantasies, but I never saw that around here (besides fans translating that from english saying 'it's canon!!', but not from the spa-dub staff I mean, as far as I know). SV wins nothing lying instead of just saying 'we just don't know' as in past times. It doesn't seem like a very good idea as a business to mess with the fans, specially the most dedicated ones that are the ones buying no matter how many years pass. In Sadamoto's meeting the past month you could find things like https://twitter.com/Misiontokyo/status/726397177367552000 not to mention all the butthurt from people that couldn't get the signed drawing, both there and in social media later. Even the shitty ISRP manga sells good, which leads me to believe Eva is not 'only a thing' between my group of friends. So why lying when someone will probably see through it at some point...?
Anyway, I see now I am too ingenuous for believing it without at least a more suitable source, and thus I apologize for giving some kind of expectations.
