> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Im trying to decide whether im going to hold onto my SSW shares, or sell them temporarily hoping to buy in at a lower price. My average is slightly higher then the current price, and thats after an upswing. I have to wait until Monday so it can pay its dividend, then I might sell and look to hop in for a lower price. I just dont know if I should or keep.

Robinhood takes some time to do that but I'm not really sure. It's temporarily untradable now but that might mean it's changing by the end of this week, or possibly before market open in 10 minutes.

I still have hope for MSTX - > SVRA because supply will be tight since 66% will not be tradable for 6 months, and IPOs are usually real wild when it comes to price. Just hold and if it goes above $1.50 you've made money.

Look at their financials, anon. They haven't made a profit in the past 5 years. The stock price is already volatile combined with the upcoming EPS report. It'll grow up until May 1st when they release a negative EPS report for the umpteenth quarter in a row and then the price will drop again

>>

I think it's different in this case. Gold is showing some serious resistance to further price drops (that isn't a good sign for indices). Could be a good idea to hold on to stuff like NUGT right now.

That would have been an amazing buy when it was under $7

It's never a good idea to hold a leveraged ETF for more than a day.

>>
i think robinhood fucks up the market

before if everyone here was on a nano cap the thing would explode, now if everyone here is in a nano cap it just slowly walks up.

robinhood must trade your shares in a funny way in order not to fuck up the price for the whole market. if you buy 1 share of something and watch the tape you won't ever see 1 share roll through. somethings afoot
>>
>>2002344
Bagholding in general is a waste of time at best. It hugely increases your risk and neuters your reward compared to just cutting your losses and looking for other trades.

But with leveraged ETFs it's particularly bad because they decay. Look at NUGT's 5-year.
>>
I don't yet have the eye to read the charts on Stockchartd or Finviz, are there some good clean charts you might recommend.

Also how often fo these charts update,Robinhood seems to kind of lag behind a bit and Ideally Idloke to see a living minute by minute chart. Thanks in advance.

what im saying is that robinhood doesn't only trade your $20 worth it trades more and has to make up that difference for their books. hey guys I'm here to shill better software if you're not using a $60 account.

I'm using Interactive Brokers, which costs a minimum of $10/mo but the commission fees are really reasonable so I doubt medium-size accounts are really gonna pay more than that, especially if you're just swing trading, I've heard good things about Speed trader but I know the IB android app is brilliant.

All I'm saying is you pay $10/mo minimum and now you have the ability to short

>>
>>2002949
how much minimum capital do you recommend? I'm looking for something that has a good android app and while robinhood is good I'd like more options. Mast Bio-Pharmaceuticals merged with Savara Inc and I'm wondering if IB already lists $SVRA.

if you're under 25 you can have $3000 minimum, otherwise it's $10,000

>>
>>2002993
>>2002951
What makes you so sure the merger isn't priced in?
>>
>>2002988
oh, lol I didn't even see this.

So I guess anyone upward of $3,000 should look at it. I've got $27k in so I can day trade so it's definitely worth it to me with the execution times and low commissions

just waiting on the rest of the money to transfer in and I'll be cookin.

This is the guy who got the scanner last week, the one on IB is aight but we got TradeIdeas I think. It's like $88/mo but it categorizes a lot of pre set scanners specifically for gap trading or swing trading or whatever.

PIP had one drug in pipeline, ALT has 4. PIP had cash on hand from their legal win, ALT has cash on hand they are bringing to the new merged company. ALT is going public for the first time with this merger, could be buying frenzy from people waiting to get in. Basically, I think PIP is cheap under a dollar. Add ALT to the equation and we are looking at dirt cheap.

Keep in mind, their will be loss in shares with merger and a r/s to bring share price up to where institutional investors will buy in.

Should I buy jnug and hold over the weekend??

Yes I know there is a reverse split on Monday.... but there is the GDP numbers which were are very disheartening for the economy, there is the tax plan that the past treasurer said there is no way this is going to work in addition all of the democrattys say they will not support it. also another tip for fellow IB users

try not to make the robinhood kids too upset with the fact that you have access to shorting, after hours trading, forex, options, etc etc

Seriously though leaving money on the table. My highest commission paid was $1.48 for a $30,000 purchase. Ability to short would pay itself immediately

Get those safe stocks out of here. People in this thread are only interested in memes and leveraged ETFs.
>>
>>2002352
why do they decay like that?
>>
>>2003571

There are fees involved for all the options they use to get the added leverage.

I made like 5% of HD and that's more than any fucking memestock here has given me.

No, it will either be higher or lower depending on the ER.
If ER is good I think 2.10 or 2.15 will be the new bottom.

I'm all in on ALDR at 20.00, hopefully I can get 2 or 3% out of it on Monday

Data was good. I think it could go to 21.
I only bought 125 shares, though.

I'm in for 450 shares. Hopefully it's not a shit market day Monday that'll damper it. Still somewhat confident, though.

been doing some conservative day trading now and then

honestly taking my gains when jnug or jdst goes up 2-3 percent is not a terrible strategy. It's less stressful than trying to ride the full rocket.

Yoling rexx again at .34. Might have more to drop but I'm banking on at least high 40s before earnings, 70s if earnings is as good as I think it'll be

So revelation i've just had. The original vix formula for volatiliy which had a gap in it dating back to July 2015 was just filled yesterday. This is also the only time in original vix formula in which the price has hit the 8.50ish mark.
Stockchart link so you guys can check it out http://schrts.co/SRKfAZ. Volatility indexes linkhttp://www.cboe.com/products/vix-index-volatility/volatility-indexes.

So it's really kind of like rolling dice or gambling. If your betting on the stock market going up/not being volatile you have like a 1 in about 2500 chance that you'll be right because the original volatility index has only been this low 3 times since 1985 and 1 of those times doesn't even count.

I calculated and there is a an average of 251 trading days in a year times 33 equals 8283 divided by 3 equals around 2761. So 1 in 2761 chance that the market closes green on monday. I could be wrong though and my calculations could be complete autistic retardation.
