> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.
> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

So a company goes public, and sells shares, and receives money.
Ok, now it has that money. Why does it give a damn what its stock is worth after that point? Its all interactions between third partys buying and selling from then on. Yes, if someone has a huge number of shares they could probably tell the company what to do or something, i get that, but thats the same regardless of how much their stock is worth.
I dont see the incentive to give a damn at that point
>>1997633
The company insiders often own shares themselves.
>>1997642

Should I be aiming for 10% gains and getting out? How do you guys decide on your sell price? I don't care to hold long but I can't understand how any of you trust stocks at all.
>>1997633
Several reasons
The company can issue more shares in the future
The company can use the value the market places on its shares to borrow money
Insiders may continue to hold a large number of shares to retain control
It can be used as a measure of performance
But...
alot of management wouldn't give a fuck based about the stock price based on their incentives. That's why a board of directors is present to supposedly represent the shareholders. This board is set up in the charter when the company goes public. It's pretty standard, might be a legal requirement too. If they didn't have a board, the stock would theoretically be worth less.
>>1998343

>>1998355
I got in GNMX at $1.32. Already up $100 on that.
REEEEEEEEEEE why are so many investors so emotional and un logical.
>>1998346
Well the most important thing is growth which requires more capital. Most common source for the capital is through borrowing.
This borrowing can take many forms. It can be a loan a bank or an institution. Usually "underwritten" or middle manned by an investment bank. In exchange for this financial service the investment bank gets to collect a fee or a commission. This is how investment banks make their money. For multi billion dollar deals even a 1-2% fee is nice change but of course they charge more than that and some in service charges that are not a percentage of the deal being underwritten.
Another way to raise capital is by offering shares to private or public investors. The investors stake their money and in exchange they get a certificate saying "I owe you," which is the stock. Now the stocks can fluctuate in value based on the performance of the company and the investors can sell it to others or back to the company. With the increased capital the company can now grow their business to increase their profits. With the borrowed money they can hire more employees, offer more services, build better products, focus on research, or build new facilities. From their quarterly profits the company then will pay their investors, this is called a dividend which is different than the price of the stock. Some investors prefer to convert their dividends into stocks instead of taking a cash payment further increasing the value of money invested in a single company.
So yes the company and owners care a lot about their stock prices because it represents a quantified representation of how much they are worth, which affects their business and profits.
>RGSE

WE'RE PUSHING THROUGH!
>>1998355
i don't browse sites like investorshub or stocktwits anymore because it's all noise. You can also spend too much time reading what people say instead of trading. Good traders take emotions and people who are trying to psychologically fuck them out of the equation.
>>1998389
LETS GOOOOOO
Can anyone tell me why SLCA won't rise?
They had a good earnings call but the traders just seem to want and follow the pattern.
>>1998394
Honestly, I have no clue where the peak or heavy resistance is. All I know is im a long term holder of SSW. It has a nice dividend, it has nice potential as a company, its currently been in a rut for the last 2 years. 9 or 10 years ago, a share was worth over $100. As little as 3 years ago, a share was worth $24. If you get burned (It happens all the time) You can hold for long term gains. Good luck out there!
>>1998404
this aint my first rodeo cowboy, thank you for the warning tho. You know what they say, buy the meme sell the rumor, or something like that
>>1998392
But the sad part is that it doesn't matter how logical it is to be in a stock if those fuckers even the news psycho fuck people it will dip either way, regardless of how logical a buy it is.
Fuck these kids who can't even be bothered to look at fundamentals. From now on i'm buying and selling emotion.

Anyone betting on gold (jnug, nugt) is pretty much doom. All these people as logic is that
>Durr, jnug was $4 earlier this year, surely it has to recover to $10 again
But the fuck tards fail to realize was that gold was at an all time low in December, and has now recovered close to 1300. There is no where for gold to go. It has peaked.
Unless Kim Jung starts week, le pen wins, and the market collapses all in the same week.. Gold is going to be btfo'd for a long time
probably going to take the loss on GNMX, would still be positive for the month.
any suggestions for a $50 chunk of change and 3 day trades?

>one pill curing all forms of cancer

>>1998566
Its because these people aren't buying the stock because they believe in it, they're buying it to make a quick buck.
When stuff like this happens its usually good to sell just before the huge catalyst, then buy back in and wait for the slow recovery.

All of the shares and warrants are being offered by ContraVir. The shares of common stock and warrants will be issued separately. Lad, you just gotta realize the term "Jews" have become more of an abstraction. Since there is a disproportionate number of them in politics, the media, banking, finance, and other powerful industries, it's become more of a slang term for the powerful and faceless elite, whether they are actual Jews or not. Plus it's fun to make jew jokes since they are the "untouchable" group that you shall not make fun of.

that sort of makes sense... but what does it mean when the company announces the closing of a public offering? that an investment bank (or banks) has bought all offered shares and dilution will commence? if so, i've been thinking about this all wrong. i was thinking that when the company announced the closing of the offering that the dilution was over - not just beginning!
>>1998343
sometimes I gain, sometimes I lose up to 5%. I make the stop loss 5%. as far as gains go, I'm usually out at 5% but average about 2-3%. 2-3% per day trade is good when you account for compounding.
>>1998947
3 weeks in at 2.02 not so bad holding and waiting
SSH got ranked #1 stock to grab by zacks. Not sure if it's not worth but their earnings were positive so I'm think it's undervalued for a reason. Do your DD before you invest
>>1999138
Stop losses getting fished out on AMD, I hope it makes a run on power hour
>>1999157
well the announcement is the important point in time anyway
when the news hits the market the stock price moves
by the actual dilution date theoretically its already been incorporated into the current value of the stock
I've noticed that most stocks can get pretty predictable with small movements like 1-5% at least for a while. Do you guys find it more profitable to invest in a stock that will return big gains and move on to the next one or stick with one stock and play with constant small gains?
What do you all think of cld. Earnings call after hours, so far they have beat estimates consistently. Right now it's holding are good dip.
>>1999169
Did you dump it all into a small market? Which markets?
can somebody explain what the fuck is going on with MSTX? Shouldn't the meeting be over by now?

you know, after seeing how impotent trump is, $CLD might be a good dip to buy. should i bet against trump, lads?
MTBC is running
Get in OCN quick mah niggas it's goin to $5

Im holding till earnings atleast. clear uptrend with positive news every couple weeks.
if you guys are losing money and not in NMM then there is no helping you guys. may god have mercy on your soul
>>1999296
NMM hasn't done JACK SHIT FOR WEEKS NOW. Sure they've been buying up container ships left and right but that doesn't bring in short term revenue. You might not see gains from that till end of the year.
Mean while CVM goes from .9 to .11 regularly
Earnings reports guarantee stock bumps, its still a gamble.
>>1999296
see the divergence between price and volume? i think that is a very good sign that price will go up.
>>1999309
just watch, like i said, there is no helping people like you.
S-should we have sold MSTX lads?
>>1999337
i opened a small position too. there are at least a couple ways we can win with this. trump might back down with the lumber tariff, canada might back down with the coal ban, or we might get lucky if trump sticks with the lumber tariff and replaces coal exports to canada with exports to china.
>>1999358
im relying on a good earnings report. Should be an ez swing trade.

Bought 25 shares of NMM on a whim a week ago after the constant shilling. Dare I say, I'm starting to believe the hype? That or SSW's good performance after ER is making me hard for shipping.

the dip goes all the way to .08 before it bounces
vix closed at 10.37. we have hit vix levels that havent been seen since before the great recession.
Intel missing makes me think AMD will beat theirs
The SNMX call is starting at 5 pm if you live on the east coast. only about 40 minutes to go.
>>1999488
Ok well then I'll hold on. It's one of my first few stocks so I'm just fetting a feel for how the market function but so far my $20 in into CVM and MSTX have gone down to $16.30. I don't care if I lose the $20 I just want to learn for when I do have real capital.

Should I get robinhood gold, is it worth the 6 bucks a month? I wouldn't use the extra buy power because that's asking for trouble, the after hours and instant deposits are what interest me.
>>1999740
That actually sounds really good. I'd use it desu because a lot of companies announce things like mergers after hours.
Who are the cunts selling MSTX at this hour? Insiders trying to jew their shareholders before the merger?
>>1999879
What site do you personally use to find who's selling or buying a particular stock?

here's you're first lesson. never go to /biz/->/rgt/->anon's meme stock of the day
seriously. This is not the place to learn how to even trade let alone invest.

I'm sorry anons...
I just thought that maybe an almost guaranteed merger would be easy money and surefire gains; something that I've really needed after closing red the past 9 days in a row. But I see now, at last I see... I'm just unlucky. And I've tainted the gains you guys could have made by buying MSTX. I'm so sorry /rgt/, tomorrow I ready my final investment, a rustic and firm piece of rope. May my awful luck never rob you all of your gains ever again. Good bye, friends.

Suggestions on any good sites to use for research. I don't mind doing my due diligence but I feel like I need to be pointed in the right direction after Investopeida otherwise it feels like gambling and I want to go in with at least some type of strategy.
Why haven't you bought Etherium yet? I told you the other day I told you. It's not too late get in before Chaim wants to start to regulate this bull run and see Cryptobucks as legit currency.
>>2000187
please don't post in the one decent stock thread about your crypto. you have 40 other threads to shit in. give us this one.

when the day comes and stocks are still around like they have been for centuries you can buy all my stock for whatever currency is being used at the time, until then ill stick to stocks and growth of companies that actually churn a profit not just a hope some idiot will buy it for a higher price than what i paid for it with no reason at all to back it.
I got into $RGSE at 1.25, it's at 1.29 now, sell or hold?

Are you familiar with how Robinhood works? Given your comment, I suspect not. So that then begs the question: Why are you here?
