PIVX IS A SCAM.
>DEVELOPERS HIDING AND STACKING LARGE VALUE

"Quote from: s3v3nh4cks(MAIN DEVELOPER) on September 01, 2016, 09:16:50 PM

We just burned the 60k at block 279917.

If you look at the Total Coins in the previous block, you will see that this block is 60k less. The coins were sent as a network fee which are destroyed.
But why network fee was destroyed and not given to miner?

Yes, at the change to PoS, network fees are now destroyed. Though it is fractional, it does help overtime with inflation, and now we can remove coins from the total coin cap if needed... :) instead of having them just sit there at an address somewhere. Thats how burning coins should work.. :) "

Thanks for the info, I was going to invest in this, but now I know this serious flaw and dishonesty in PIVX I think I will put my money in an honest project like BitBay.
>>
Looks ponzi as fuck
I'll wait until bigger exchanges pick it up and a worthwhile wallet
>>
>>1879832

Get your facts straight shill.

Burning coins basically eliminating the 60k premine to support 6 masternodes in the beginning.

Basic math 60K premine -60 K Burned coins = system is fine.

idk if you're shilling or not but good luck with your investment.

Redpill: Her name isn't really "Mrs X" either.

Yes, it's been explained multiple times that they're remaining anonymous. Anyone who's been following this for 2 minutes knows that the identities on the website are fake. Before someone mentions it yet again, yes, they may have to reveal themselves to launch on Poloniex, or no, they may not, we don't know. We also don't know who Satoshi Nakamoto is, if you've ever heard of bitcoin.

PIVX on the bitcointalk ANN was launched by a senior member account. That alone means a hundred times more than using a real name or picture because it proves that it's someone who's been involved in multiple projects in the past, apparently none of which were scams otherwise it would've been the only thing people were talking about.

The technology of PIVX isn't as ambitious as the autistic skeleton's ETH (which is just a bunch of buzzwords right now to be fair), but what it's aiming to do, it's doing in a simple and direct manner and is the best of anything out there. This is why it's excelling. This is why it has more volume on its only exchange than Monero, Ethereum, and that crypto-pickpocketer Bitbay.

Speed? The fastest. Privacy? Better than Monero. No bullshit premine, no insider launch. They did it the right way.

The price will hit $1 within the week, drop to half that, and resume to $4-$5. It'll never be a $1000 coin, but it'll be a staple as a way of transacting crypto quickly and privately, especially once the black market crowd jumps ship from Monero to pivx.

Okay I've taken a look at Pivx in some detail just now. I don't think it's a scam, it seems legit. In fact they seem to have a pretty good team, active on social media and open to questions/feedback. >>

Yeah massive sell wall at 50 tho
how high do you guys think it'll go ?
>>
>>1881217

In some of the previous threads, we were speculating that we'd be hitting some pretty harsh waves around the $0.40 - $0.50 mark, but that it would eventually go through (days, weeks) and start climbing up the dollar poll. If it launches on polo (that's a big 'if' but one I'm optimistic about) then we're looking at some very comfy surge potential (think $4+).

Looks like the 40k mark has been passed which is actually pretty good - I would have put that a few days from now.

Are new coins creating by mining?
>>
>>1881825

No, this is a Proof-of-Stake coin, so new coins are created by "staking". That means with a high enough coin balance you can leave your wallet open and staking and it's equivalent to mining.

seems to be pretty steadily increasing at this point so you could probably hold. I'm slowly adding more at each dip
>>
Hey, I've been buying Bitcoin for some time, but not reall trading, more as a "retirement money".

Now I want to get to some altcoins, and I'm ready to get into pivx.

My question is – how do you keep track of your investments in multiple coins? I have already account on multiple exchanges, there are fees everywhere, and it just seems to be really time expensive to keep track of everything. And just do a sum every week, and check if I'm in profit or not does not seem right as well.
>>
>>1887750
>Using something this insanely volatile for retirement money
Are you kidding me?

If you're committed to a buy and hold position, it's best not to look at it. Otherwise, just look back and forth at all the different coins you're invested in and rapidly buy and sell to try and make a profit. That also works.
>>
Do you think pivx is still going down, or should I buy at ~0.0006? By looking at demand chart, I think it can be at 0.001 tomorrow.
>>
>>1887760
there will most likely be a couple more dips but then i think there'll be another big, sustained rise tomorrow or friday.
>>
>>1887759
It's kinda political for me. I don't believe in fiat money, and I think it will have zero value by my retirement time. And I bet government is not gonna take this one down, unless we're gonna be in completely totalitarian situation.
>>
And I think poloniex is gonna support pivx soon, and shit will be crazy then.

pls fill me in on what the next /moonmission/ is, or when it is planned.

or is my thinking wrong and this is just the beginning? Polo is obviously gonna add PIVX, r-right?

Still, it would be nice to get in on a memecrypto that polo is going to add from the ground floor.
>>
>>1888385

I am holding PIVX and BitBay long. Might sell at peaks and try to ride the waves accordingly depending on how things seem to be going but I actually have a lot of faith in both of these.

I could see PIVx soaring to DASH levels in a year or two and I could see BitBay making a bunch of /biz/ millionaires in 5+ years if people have patient hands.

There will be plenty of good P&Ds between now and then to follow but I'm typically not into that. If you're new to cryptos or fairly casual about it I would just look for things that seem to be gaining traction on /biz/. Obviously the major pump will have taken place by that point but the guys here are usually pretty good about shilling other places hard enough that the 4chan latecomers are able to walk away with serious profit and Reddit is left holding the bag.
>>
>>1888395
>and Reddit is left holding the bag.

that alone is enough for me.
>>
>>1888451

Honestly one of the simplest yet strongest enjoyments in my life is scrolling through /biz/ to see a ton of posters all happy and wealthy having profited off of some scamcoin and then finding threads on reddit or wherever else where people are frantically consoling each other and wondering """what happened""" to their promising investment.

Every time.

Love you bastards.
>>
>>1885460
>I'm 33% ethereum, 33% pivx, and 33% bitbay right now. Upside of both pivx and bitbay are monumental.

I think it'd be more logic to have 20% ETH, 40% PIVX and BitBay, seeing as how the gains are so monumental and they're both such cheap moon tickets right now.
>>

>>

I was a bit skeptical at first but time has shown its got a healthy growth and a pretty strong floor as of now. Periodic dips are actually healthy. Im always very skeptical of sharp, sudden increases, because that usually means it will fall just as hard and just as quick, but PivX has a nice, steady growth and has shown to be resistant to some pretty hard dumps. Ill be holding for quite a bit if things continue as is.

A correction is coming...
