If you put 5000 into OptionsHouse they will give you free trades for 60 days. Then its a far better version of Robinhood that doesn't give you any volatility errors and makes executions a lot faster.

Then you either quintuple your money in 60 days and get your Day Trader account or just die. Also remember that Options are T + 1.

What I thought was really sweet about it was they don't charge for paper trading. Every other site IF they have it they usually make you jump through a lot of hoops.

Check out yahoo finance's MACD charts. MACD lets you know when people are beginning to sell or beginning to buy, letting you know when spikes or dips are occuring.

I also recommend trying to load up when your stock goes below the 50 day moving average line.

those two combined are very helpful.

Regarding Tesla it literally doesn't matter when you buy in since it closed at 211 and it was still recovering from brexit. I'm confident it's gonna normalize at 220-230 but this recent event will let it dip a bit so you can get dat sweet discount. Wait if you'd like but I don't think it's gonna dip all that much. Literally just don't buy and sell something in the same day. You can check your day trades in the past 5 days in the options. So just keep your eye on that. Once it has 3 things on it you have to be on your best behavior. It will also prevent you from making the fourth and final trade by defualt so you can't actually get flagged unless you got out of your way to do so.

tl;dr just check the day trade screen to see where you currently are.

and also personally I'm not going to invest long term with tesla. Not because I don't believe in them but because I think their is some small juicy profits to be made with this accident.
