Getting into gold as a hedge. What corporations, whether it being mining operations or otherwise would you recommend me to purchase? I will also be picking up physical gold in addition but I wish to diversify a bit.

As i see it the major flaw in crypto space is that the majority of altcoins have to be bought with Bitcoin or ETH. This causes Bitcoin to essentially act as the "petrodollar" for the cryptoworld. Imagine if you had to buy 100 iphones to buy a car and then if you want to sell that car you have to sell it back for iphones. Until you can directly buy alts with dollars without having to go through the TOP 2, then the crypto place will still remain in its infancy.
Are there plans to correct this?

It'll go back up. All you're missing out on is buying a dip if you don't sell, and that's only if it dips a lot more. You'll feel like a real piece of shit if you sell and it recovers.
