I have reservations. Andres Muschietti seems to do better with creepy looking things than he does with actual stories, granted this one was written for for him. My biggest concern is that even in the trailer he pulled out the "Mama" 'creepy thing lurching forward really quickly' guns, and that kind of thing isn't what made Pennywise scary. He's a character with a personality and a certain amount of morbid charisma, not a special effect.

It's not just gonna be the autistic pennywise that makes this a terrible movie but also the child actors. They got the shitty actors from stranger things so you can expect for it to be just as shitty as that show. The only thing that could possibly save this movie is if they include the sewer orgy but that's not happening.
