my gamo pt-85 , bought slightly used about a year ago for 50 euros, have shot more than 1500 pellets with it, no real issues except the usual wear in the clip that plagues these models, replacement clips are cheap so no prob i only had to buy one, i am rating this as a good pellet gun.

There's more places that I can use an airsoft or pellet gun than I can a firearm. Ammo costs are also considerably cheaper with those as well, whereas say 9mm fmj is going to set me back at least $20 a box, not to mention lane rental fees.

I've seen this pic floating around before. It was made as a joke during Lionclaw last year and people are taking it out of context. I've never in my 10+ years playing ever met anyone who (openly) compared airsoft to actual combat. I've met several who have claimed to be in the military but aren't and i've met people who say they would do well in the military. But no one openly compares the two. They might think it tho.

My 4.5 mm pellet gun. Had a 3-9x40 scope, but the crosshair broke during testing and I can only use iron sights. It was cheap, but shoots pretty good
