You can buy a featureless AR/AK/anything being banned in the state after Dec. 31st although they're not very visually appealing.

Another option is to build your AR yourself out of an 80% lower. It requires tools that you'll need to buy, but you can essentially get around the ban and have until 2019 to build one and will have to serialize it by then. If you're going to build it out to look like a normal AR and such with evil features such as a pistol grip, flash hider, etc., you'll need to complete it, serialize it, and register it by the end of 2017.
