Going to the only field open tomorrow which is a paintball/airsoft place. Expecting more speedsoft type atmosphere so I am going to try running just a belt rig without any extra shit. I don't have a molle belt system so I put everything onto my dragonspine and I think it's not too bad.

>>
>>883807

I know it sounds mean spirited, but this is a badly organized belt setup. you may not think things will slide, but they absolutely do and it will ruin your day.

It's hard to tell how tight and high your dropleg will be on you, but it should be as close to your hip as possible and as snug as possible before being too tight. you also really don't want mags immediately above your holster like that, as it makes it super hard to access your pistol.

if you're just kinda plinking around in casual games its probably not THAT big of a deal though. if you're happy with it, then that's that.

>>884019
CQB seems to be fucking terabul in America and parts of asia but not elsewhere. it's so easy to just regulate semi-auto only and/or mag cap limits and/or RoF limits. I don't know why they don't do that as a standard.
>>
>>884121
Never had any serious issues in CQB at my fields.

>>
>>884121
>it's so easy to just regulate semi-auto only and/or mag cap limits and/or RoF limits.
That's actually what something like 90% of CQB places do or are implementing nowadays. You only hear about the bad ones though because those are the fields the much hated speedsofters go to. When CQB is terrible, it's because of the attitude of individual players. I've had faggots who think they're above the rules try to pull shit and after I chew them out when reffing they get quiet real fast. There are fields out there that don't crack down on rule-breakers or don't have rules that encourage courtesy and fair play. Those are the fields that don't get business and close down.

Good advice. The leg holster sits high enough on my leg with this setup. The pouches above it are a bit inconvenient but I think it'll still work. The setup isn't suppose to be serious, it's just since I'm going with two mates that have no equipment and I don't want to look like a complete retard with a full kit on and them in jeans and tees.

Because /toy/ are a bunch of libtard manchildren who are afraid of guns.
"a-airguns are not toys!"

Seriously, a guy had his (real) rifle visible in the corner of a photo he took, and a LOT of posters jumped on him for it and confronted him with about it as if it mattered to the thread at all in any way.

Given that there's a common sort of 'sport' played with Soft Air Guns, one that's actually rather close to paintball, I say it fits on here rather well as an enclosed general (even though I just casually collect and plink).

Each one had the same sort of issue; it would fire the first shot fine and couldn't cycle for the second shot. Sometimes it would discharge a little cloud of gas. Belt-only loadouts are generally pretty fun. Airsoft replicas lend themselves to sneaky breeki and speed anyway, and belts will still let you carry a bunch of ammo in decent midcaps or hicaps.

Look into some of the molle battlebelts out there if you find things are sliding around enough to become a real problem. I picked up a cheapo emerson to try out a first/second line setup for CQB and it's really really great, though something made by Flyye would probably last longer.

Oh yeah, the G2 trigger is actually quite good, possibly their best product.

Their plastic AK mags I hear are actually not bad for their price, lighter in weight than steel mags. I figure 20rd Tapco mags would be a good fit for a Draco pistol, because you'd be keeping weight down while still having lotsa firepower.

I wonder when Magpul will make AK 'tanker' mags for SBRs and pistols? They already make 7rd, 10rd and 15rd mags for AWB states and other restrictive countries, so it's not like they can't be done.

Those are not the best bbs, so they might have made a bad batch. Try G&G or Bioval. The mags should be fine. You could try changing your hop up bucking. The stock one is pretty bad and can be the cause of this problem if it's malformed, too hard, broken or installed wrong. Prometheus, Madbull, Maple Leaf and Falcon have good ones.

Did it just fall through or what?
>>
>>889578
G&G bbs are still one of the best in the market. Cymas are also very likely to shoot something between 1.3 - 1.7J.

>>889587
The stores recommend all kinds of stupid shit. It's going to end up in your hop-up and barrel which is going to fuck up your accuracy.
>>
>>889587
answer >>889571 and turn your hop down to minimum

>>889591
OOTB yes, but if he's buying from TG... he's most probably from a place where the fields' FPS limit is 350
>>
>>889571
It isn't "glued" tight it moves a little but i figured it's normal because real magazines wobble a lot
I tried taping them but it didn't seem to make a difference
>>889593
Turning it to minimum means sliding the little slider all the way toward the stock?

The store store also says not to load the magazine fully on the first time, i loaded about 40-60 would that be problematic?
>>
>>889593
I've bought stuff from TG several times and the fields I play at limit the energy for an AEG to the maximum of 2,25J. I don't see how the shop would determine the energy of his gun. Quite a few store offers the possibility to swap a weaker spring in to a new gun.

>>889597
Push the lever forward to minimize it. Load the magazines full and release the bbs. Do they burst out violently in a split second or in a span of like five seconds? Do some of the bbs get stuck or is it a continuous flow?
>>
>>889597
No, on the AK Hop Up, sliding towards the stock turns it up: in pic related, sliding to the right would turn it down. Do some other tests like >>889602 suggests.

>>889602
2,25J is a lot. I was just saying that a lot of european countries have FPS limits. When I get my replicas from TG I have them install a weaker spring to get it under 350.
>>
>>889602
they get stuck a lot and empty 1-2 BBs at a time on both magazines, with some rare bursts of 4-5 BBS
>>
>>889639
Buy new BBs then. I've got 5 Cyma midcaps and that's only happened with bad BBs. G&Gs and Biovals feed perfectly at 50< rps.
>>
>>889639
I had a similar problem with Cyma plastic AK74 midcaps, I cleaned them with some silicone oil and a cleaning rod.

It may be that the spring or follower is a bit stiff.
>>
>>889643
>>889670
would changing the folding BB pushing piece for a non-folding piece change anything?
the magazine is greasy inside, should I clean it out?
>>
>>889670
>>889673
>mfw I've never opened any midcaps and they all worked fine forever
>>
>>889673
They should just work as is, so don't fiddle too much.

Give it a quick clean, tiny amount of lube, and screw it back together, and see how it runs.

I've seen it where the plastic inner magazine wasn't screwed together tight enough from the factory, which caused sporadic feeding (were the screws particularly loose when you took it apart?).
>>
>>889673
>would changing the folding BB pushing piece for a non-folding piece change anything?
No
>should I clean it out?
Yes

Last time. BUY BETTER BBs.

Cheap shit is cheap because they've cut corners in the manufacturing process or quality control. That means that they may or may not work for you. The bbs you bought can be bigger, smaller, lighter or heavier than advertised and at worst case scenario the shape can be closer to an oval than a circle. Trust me, I've played airsoft for a decade and I've tried several different BB brands looking for something cheaper than G&G. When I was new to the sport, I though low quality bbs meant inaccuracy, but I was wrong. Low quality in bbs means that you'll have feeding problems, because the bbs get jammed or flow out of the magazines too slowly. If you somehow manage to get those low quality bbs in your barrel anyway, they can be hilariously inaccurate as well.
This christmas my friends and I ordered about 25kg of G&G bios for a multitude of reasons. We have never had any quality problems with them, they are very accurate, they are extremely cheap in San Marino but the store has ludicrous shipping fees.
>>
>>889692
>fucking Safara shipping fees
Yes, also, nice post. Try the Duel Code brand, they work as well as the G&G, as cheap as the G&G and they don't leave so much shit in the barrel
>>
So I've been looking at the slow but stronk insurgence of eastern european/ex-soviet bloc airsoft manufacturers.

I was expecting them to be shit as they're priced around the £100-£300 mark, or at least not be as good as glorious niponno counterparts, but stuff like E&L looks downright amazing, does anyone have any experience with these blyat blasters?

If you go with the G&G you'll end up having to replace the motor after a bit and it'll need to be overhauled to preform well. G&G have decent externals and it's possible to upgrade their guns to higher end provided you sink some cash into it. The sight's definitely a knock off and if you're buying from Toronto airsoft you'll be paying 450 bucks for it. Just do some research and see what your best deal would be.

So my only local field is a cqb area, but its not horrible on the right day. It's not so much speedsoft as tactical close quarters room clearing. Anyway, I recently started learning to love the AEP. After spending a small fortune on fancy guns, my current absolute favorite gun to run as a stock JG vz61 AEP. Its light while still feeling realistic, it is accurate enough, and shoots fast enough for cqb. Its full auto shoots just barely slower than a high end semi auto, so nobody bitches about bursts, and it hits light enough where I dont have to bang whore. I love this gun.

Anyway, is it worth ordering the TM Scorpion?
>>
>>890406

Heavy, but very well balanced. You'll want to replace the cylinder assembly and hop-up bucking too though. Also, you'll need a 229mm barrel, not 223mm.

Do be mindful though, the bodies are pot metal so they will crack if you're too rough. Mine has held up, but I also take very good care of it.

>>893010
You don't need a quick detach. There's 14mm negative threads under the orange tip under the QD flash hider. Have to remove a pin to get at them. If you still want, you can get them, they're just harder to find.

King Arms makes an M1 carbine that's essentially an M2 aesthetically, but lacks the fire selector.
Also no 30 rounders, but since it's based on the Marushin then you SHOULD be able to use the Marushin 30 rounders with propane.

I see.
No 30rd mags is kind of a dealbreaker.

I want to pretend I have an M2 Carbine converted to .22 Spitfire to act like a progenitor to an assault rifle (it'd be like having an AC-556 before the AC-556 almost)

>>894417
I had one like those. Felt great in the hand but just fucking fell apart.
Note that I don't even skirmish, it just couldn't stand up to some handling. It had a fire selector, but it wasn't actually select-fire (the selector wasn't connected to anything). It was basically an M2 entirely besides the select-fire, and it was marketed as an M1.

Also, spare mags are fucking impossible to find, it's like there's only one mag per rifle.
>>
>>894420
>Also, spare mags are fucking impossible to find, it's like there's only one mag per rifle.
Tell me about it. Trying to find StG mags in yurop for a reasonable price is hard

Pity that no manufacturer makes anything that's an entire modular set in a box. It would be the tits if you could buy one set in which you can reconfigure the gun for all kinds of roles, rather than having to buy the parts separately from other manufacturers, or spend an age trying to source from the original manufacturer (I'm looking at you W.E, took me ages to get a retractable stock for my MP5).

Using the XM8 as reference:

> Start the day using it as a marksman rifle, longer inner barrel with a stronger spring (quick change gearbox)
> Screw this, people are getting quite up in my face
> Go back to safe zone, convert into compact role, use weaker spring

I have a shitload of guns (including different variations of the same gun for this reason, eg 870 tactical and breacher, or MP5 and MP5k), but it would be nice not to have to bring so many.
>>
>>894458
Marushin mags are even pretty difficult to get hold of in Japan. Most of the airsoft shops I've been there tend to cater more to collectors. That means selling guns, but with few to no spare mags in store. I've literally seen entire display cases filled with marushin guns, but with only one or two spare mags actually in the store.
>>
>>895006
That would be cool, but real expensive. They'll jack the prices up just because it's cool. What they need to do is just make more aftermarket things. Just like what everyone is talking about now with marushin magazines or your mp5. Modularity and stuff wouldn't be so bad if we could actually find the damn parts (at affordable prices preferrably).

I baught a VSR-10 fully upgraded (propper nineball bucking and 6.01 PDI and piston, no 90 degree trigger tho) for 1145 USD. Are you aware that 350€ buys you a full PDI upgrade kit? That's little over 400€ with tax. Secondhand Marui VSRs and decent scopes can be had for 100-150. With that kind of budget, you should have been looking for Maruzen APS2 instead of VSR. For that price it really should have had 90 degree trigger.

AMS too. All the major milsim companies basically share ban lists, so if you're banned in one place for egregious violations like GMR was, you're pretty much banned everywhere.

>>

They both have neomagnets, so they should be okay. Guarder pinion gears aren't very strong and P&J pinions don't mesh very well bevel gears. Either way, I'd suggest you buy an SHS pinion gear with the motor. P&J has an extremely high torque 28TPA armature. Guarder probably has faster armature that's probably around 20 TPA, but I can't really so for sure.

Some optimistic RPM estimates with 11.1v battery. If your gun makes squeeky noises, expect less.
28 TPA + 18:1 = 17 RPS
28 TPA + 13:1 = 24 RPS
18-22 TPA + 18:1 = 22-27 RPS
18-22 TPA + 13:1 = 30-38 RPS

SHS HT motor is bit tricky. Older ones were really fast 16 TPA models, but from what I've heard SHS has recently changed to 22 TPA.
If you got stock 18:1 gears, buy a motor that's 22 TPA for sure like JG Blue, ZCI HT or Commander GP1000.

Repair it with Araldit metal
>>
>>900154
Maybe.

7,4v LiPo should pull almost any spring with that motor unless your gearbox is shimmed like shit. Because you have to ask, we can assume that it is. If your LiPo isn't able to give enough amps for the motor the gun won't cycle as fast as it should and the battery will deteriorate fast. The new neodymium motor won't require as much amps as the stock ferrite motor, but it may still require more amps than your battery is able to handle. Probably the easiest way to determine if a LiPo battery is able to handle your gun is to try with another battery with very high mAh and C, but same voltage. If your gun cycles faster with that battery, the other one very likely isn't able to give enough amps.

Since you're using a 7,4v LiPo, you should reach about 15 RPS with 22 TPA motor and 20RPS with 16TPA. Latter will require lot more amps though.

>>900117
Swap piston, bearings, nozzle and spring. Preferably gears, piston head as well. The stock motor should reach 20RPS with 11.1v although I'd advice you to buy a 22TPA neomotor and a mosfet. Whatever you do, correct the AoE.
