Cheaters don't upset me. They just give me a good reason to make them scream by shooting them even more. Gets the message across more loudly than you screaming like an idiot.

>REBEL YELL UPDATE

So CDF tickets are sold out, and a bunch of flakey faggots dropped out at the last minute, and now we're back down to Three. But by God we'll be the most memetastic 3 there, kicking ass and taking names while checking dubs and rustling jimmies I'm also locked in as a Squad Leader, so they'll be hooking us up with other players to turn into our meme minions. Hopefully we'll have some video from the event, set to either obnoxious j-pop or MLG-pro-level dubstep. Hopefully both.

If anyone wants to join the skype anyway, do as the OP says. If anyone wants to grab some tickets from scalpers and jump in last second, we'll gladly take you on. I'll make sure to update regularly as things fall into place.

>DREAMS, BECOME REALITY

Is airsoft just for milsim faggots?

I am looking for people who use colorful gear and all I can find is the same boring greens and browns.

So far this has been disappointing.
>>
Not really, but it depends on the fields closest to you and the community they garner. In my area, people can just come in with jeans and no shirt on and no one will give a damn.

No? I mean, gear is black, green, or brown, but that's mostly because the good gear you can get is geared towards military kit. Other than that, there's nothing that stops you from wearing street clothes under your gear. If you REALLY want some colorful gear, get some gel fabric dye and look up how to dye UCP. Shit's ugly as sin in the sage green it comes in, but get some pink or blues or purples, it should come out pretty good.

Its up to you if you can get people of the same mentality and play together.

I just don't use bright colors since my local fields are all outdoor so it sticks out like a sore thumb.

If I had more CQB I'd do more funny impressions.

Much of the gear you can buy is based on military gear so its in nonflashy colors.
If you want to wear flashy colors in the field go for it, but its impractical as it will make you easy to see. Not wearing hi vis isn't just for milsim as a lot of people like to blend in on the field. CQB doesn't matter tho so wear whatever you want there.

I'm glad you asked, because I was about to do a review on the new Cyma tri shots. I got my CM352(Polymer body) version in today, and it feels much more solid than the cheaper tri shots on the market. Internals are metal, externals are a mixture of plastic and metal (Metal outer barrel, metal sling mounts, heavy duty nylon fiber polymer everywhere else). Trigger is plastic but feels solid. Has a really loud and satisfying bang noise when dry fired. Pump action feels satisfying though falls short of that classic Chk-chk cocking sound you'd be used to. Fake bolt/slide moves only half way. No iron sights but you can buy some aftermarket shotgun sights or use cold weld putty to install a rail system. Its also a freaking airsoft shotgun shooting at 280-320 FPS so its not exactly a field gun dominator, but ranges show you can easily do 100+ foot shots and lob out to 200. Slamfire is a huge plus, so if you're not a bitch/fuccboi you can easily slamfire this off in a few seconds which makes it a good burst weapon capable of going toe to toe with semi auto AEGs. Cost for me was 59.95 with shipping but it normally goes for 66 when not on a sale. For a springer shotgun its superior to the DE tri shots, and as a shotgun overall IMO its going to be the most fun one to use until the Tokyo marui AA12 comes out.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a full metal underfolder AK that is TM based.
Any suggestions ? I think there's only one from Cyma that has this weird color on the parts that would fit my criteria but I'm very unsure.
>>
>>741068
Image is upside down
>>
>>741087
Why TM-based? VFC-based tend to be much better and easier to work on.
>>
>>741093
That doesn't help. Am I just being a pleb?
>>
>>741094
I find that screws are much easier than hammering out pins.

Also, so far I believe only the CM.042S would fill my requirements as the other underfolders are plastic.
And I believe this could be a good rifle if I repaint the thing. But I wanted to put a US Palm grip on it and there's this reinforcement plate between the grip and receiver. I don't suppose anyone could tell me if the US Palm grip would still fit ?
>>
>>741087
>TM based
Kek
>>
>>741098
There aren't even that many pins, anon. The only reason there would be pins is to take out side folding stocks and the outer barrel. Considering you want an underfolder, and I doubt you have any reason to take out the barrel, you're just making things harder for yourself.
And giving yourself the inferior rifle
Hey /asp/. Lets talk a bit about softgun(s)

So far, all i've been using is a Pump AK-47. It's pretty fucking shitty and i am the only one who can actually hit with the damn thing. But being a poor fag, i've never gotten a chance to buy a new gun. But now, all that changes. Cause i got a job. So to celebrate, i though i'd buy myself a Revolver
My eyes are pointed at the Dan Wesson 6" Chrome CO2, so i wanted to know what /asp/ think's about this gun?

>>
>>741396
The Dan Wesson is totally fine if you don't plan on using it on long range, as there's no hopup system built inside.
Also, get the low pressure shells, not the high ones.

I have a clone of the 2.5" version. It's fun, but you won't hit a fucking thing with it, and out the box it shoots way over 400. Get the low power shells if you want to use it, and look up the guide floating around for how to put a regular pistol barrel and hopup into it if you want range or accuracy.

Muh realism isn't the only reason midcaps are a thing. I run them because hicaps are loud as shit, exacerbated by the fact that I run a lot while playing.

>>
>>741913
Hicaps are objectively shit. They don't feed nearly as well as a well maintained mid cap, and basically limit you to only 20-30 round bursts before you spend 5 seconds winding that wheel. Unless its an auto-winding magazine the only people I know of who use hi caps are ultra poorfags, newbies and idiots.
>>
>>741913
Well, the cool thing about airsoft is that two people can have completely different experiences. Each field has different players it attracts which warrant different styles of play. No need to shit on people for playing differently.
>>
>>741916
Again, not in my experience. My M14 hicaps feed better than my mids, and while cyma mags don't feed well in my AK, dboys ones feed with no problem at all.

And either gun can dump most of the mag before it needs winding.

What the hell kind of cheap shit have you been buying m8?
>>
>>741919
I don't know, I don't waste money on shitty hicaps and instead just get good midcaps that have all the upsides and no downsides (unless your pleb ass thinks 170 rounds instead of 300 rounds is a downside)
>>

Not saying that you can't have fun with that, but a lot of players will blacklist you for being cancerous to the community at large. Pickup games may be one thing when you're plinking in the woods, but Woods and CQB fields will laugh you out the parking lot.
>>
>>741936
Never been to a cqb field, and the woods field I play at don't care. Lots of people, marshals included, run stupid bullshit with drums and hicaps.

>RK95
Finland isn't a part of NATO. There's been talk of it since Ukraine, but the general policy is to not join so Russia doesn't throw a shitfit. Finland is part of the EU though, so they should be fairly safe from Russian invasion.
>>
>>741936
Pfft, where?

Unless the game itself restricts it to mid/low caps only, there's no real problem, plus CQB fields here forces you to semi, so high/drum mags are pointless unless you just want to carry one mag.

I got mids for my SR25 and M4 anyway.
>>
>>741936
Additionally, many players don't just magdump and run around with box magazines. Going full minmax especially with newer or younger players is a detriment to the sport as you're discouraging them from continuing on if they're just getting rekt and not having fun.
>>741938
In the US there's more of a sporting code to it that balances out individuals, so that was a polarstar user and a 100 dollar cyma user can be on somewhat equal footing.
>>741941
Everywhere in the Northeast US where I've been there's an unwritten code about speedsofting, which is that we don't want it because it makes the community toxic when it should be a fun game and not about just lighting someone up.
>>
>>741942
Speedsofting doesn't equate to highcaps, your locals are just a bunch of whiny players.

This is literally like blaming guns on mass shootings.

A high cap won't make you a faggot, it's your choice to be one.
>>
>>741945

>Magdump into bushes erryday, sights are for faggots.
>If you don't like my spraying with hicaps you're a whiny faggot
I'm blaming you. You are the problem. I don't like hicaps, but I don't like even more toxic players like you. I could just rig up my polarstar to be a literal BB hose and just absolutely destroy everyone, but I don't. Know why? Because I'm trying to be sporting. However, if you want to be a speedsofting faggot I'd gladly even the playing field on you with 38 BPS and a 4k drum mag.
>>
>>741947
Who the fuck said I magdumped, you dumb fuck.
>>
>>741942
Attitudes like 'you use a hicap therefore get fucked' are going to be a lot worse for the community than lighting up a holly bush five guys are hiding behind, surely?

I find it's the guys who scream and swear and try to start fights over petty bullshit that are the problem, not hicap magazines.

(And speaking as a guy who runs a £130 dboys AK among all the ares amoebas and fucking unicorn guns, what gear you have as fuck all to do with how 'good' you are at running about in the woods.)

>>741947
Good for you m8, you'd still need to chrono under 350 on a 0.2 to use it, same as my drum-AK, that guy with his polarstar, and a fourteen year old kid with a rental G36.
>>
>>741952
And under 25 rps, if your local is smart about it.
>>
>>741951
Different person then.
>>741952
I don't like hicaps and I don't like speedsofters. I also don't like running m4s, but you don't see ARfags crying about it. Crying persecution because someone doesn't like hi caps is retarded. That's like you complaining about me having better gear than you right now. It doesn't give me much of an edge but its a matter of taste. Speedsofters also kill the sporting aspect of the game because it makes it 100% about the gear you bring, which contradicts your frustration at people with gear and nice guns. Also yes, I can easily chrono under 350, and even bump my ROF to 70. Want to play against me? I bet not.
>>741956
Backed out? I thought you weren't taking this sport seriously. Don't be a milsimfag complaining about realism now ;).
>>
>>741956
I can't remember the limit, but it's probably about that.

They never seem to have problems with it.

>>741959
There is a difference between 'I run a hicap on a stock gun shooting under 350' and 'I am using a literal pellet hose and deliberately being a cock about it'. If you can't see that, I really don't want to be anywhere near a site you play on m8.

(You're also arguing with two different people. I'm not him. >>741956 >>741945 )
>>
>>741961
You're confusing me then. Anyways the hicap is personal taste and you shouldn't cry persecution because someone doesn't like them. Additionally the other person who likes to just spray and pray with an AEG isn't any different than a person with a polar star doing the same. There's a reason why those "whiny players" have these types of rules in place.
>>
>>741952
>Attitudes like 'you use a hicap therefore get fucked' are going to be a lot worse for the community than lighting up a holly bush five guys are hiding behind, surely?
But that's a false dichotomy. People use high-caps just fine where I am and they get no shit for it, but most fields, both indoor and outdoor, are moving to semi-auto only if they haven't already. Since midcaps tend to feed more consistently for that, more experienced players are going to tend to use midcaps, and very often advise new players to do the same as they improve their kit and get better.

What's not accepted here is spray-and-pray, which people do take issue with. No one wants to be on the opposite end of a bb hose, and it's actually why most of fields have been moving to semi-auto. Players just aren't going to the full-auto fields anymore.
>>
>>741966
...Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and assume it's a trans atlantic airsoft cultural difference.

I've never actually heard of a semi auto field, other than those based in old WW2 bunkers.
>>
>>741968
American airsoft is becoming very structured in terms of rules. Semi only is encouraged in a lot of games that aren't just total casual games. Midcaps are encouraged as well. Essentially the hobby is turning into a casual sort of sport with specific parameters that must be met.
>>
>>741966
My local field is now enforcing RPS limits now to discourage DSG and P* bb hoses; like 20RPS max or something.
>>
>>741968
Nah, I get different hosts on one field I go, and they do semi only mid cap games. Specific rules like lmg/mmg are the only full auto box mag allowed guns.
>>
>>741970
We have a fair few rules over here too, but no-one gives a fuck abut hicaps, or polarstars, or speedsoft. Not for sunday pickup games anyway, they get more serious about rules on special event games one the occasional saturday, with ammo limits rather than disallowing mags or full auto.

Hell, one of the best games I ever had was a two hour long defence on a rolling assault, and three of the best players on my team were using rentals. Admittedly they were actual serving soldiers, but still. Gear doesn't make the airsofter.
>>
>>741974
Never said gear does. Certain rules however can nullify gear. Semi only for example can remove a lot of the disparities between low cost and high cost guns, making skilled players better than unskilled no matter what they're using. In the US military simulation is also liked, and milsim games can go from casual to extreme. Casual milsim games are merely squad based airsoft games with structured rules of engagement. There are also many fields which enforce semi or 1 hicap/4-5 midcaps per individual in order to maintain a balance of rounds and make it more about your skill rather than how many rounds you have.
>>
>>741968
The outdoor fields make exceptions for LMGs, but that can't just be any M4 with a mag on it.

>>741970
Semi is encouraged for a number of reasons: it trains accuracy, reduces ammunition consumption, reduces chance of collateral damage, and reduces the number of bbs you put on a target. Good players appreciate a trained trigger finger. No player worth his salt is going to be adverse to getting hit, but a good player is also going to minimize hurt on others and appreciates it when someone else does the same.

And keep in mind, these are not casual players we're talking here, the most hardcore players were the ones bailing on the full-auto fields because of casual newbies and assholes with P*s shitting everything up with their spray and pray.
>>
>>741978
Also, in my opinion casual milsim games are the best kind of milsim because its more like battlefield than walk 3 miles and get shot: the weekend.
>>
>>741978
>Semi only for example can remove a lot of the disparities between low cost and high cost guns, making skilled players better than unskilled no matter what they're using
Someone with a $800 rifle with a 11.1 lipo (pr a P*) will be able to put more rounds downrange than someone of the same skill with a cheap $100 rifle and an 8.4 Ni-MH thanks to better trigger response and a higher speed motor and gears.
>>
>>742005
Skill can play into that. However there are very few unskilled newbies that make an 800 dollar P* rig.

I don't like all this talk about semi-only. Before I get into this, I just want to say that I also think P*s are a cancer killing airsoft. Too many events have been ruined by that guy with deep pockets who's trying to get his "K/D" up by hosing down the field.

On the other hand, being limited to semi-only also sucks, but not equally with the above example. Being limited to single fire could cause you to give away your position needlessly. One or two BBs may not be enough for a target to call his hit, especially if he is in any sort of brush. Conversely, a short burst of 5-10 BBs may get the job done better.

Unfortunately, I don't think a middle ground can be explained to a group of people pre-game without massive confusion.
>>
>>742531
If you have good players and good refs, the chances of someone not calling their hits from semi are pretty slim, even if you only hit them once, and at ranges they won't hear the bb hit them are a crapshoot even at full auto. And you're much MUCH more likely to give yourself away with a full-auto burst. Just one bb ricocheting is confusing, but a stream coming from one direction is easy to see. If your target is behind brush, a short burst isn't any more guaranteed to hit him, even at range. The best idea would be to move up and flank him or focus-fire with a friend. And what's more is that the guy in the bushes has the same problem you do.

And if you just need to put enough plastic on someone who isn't calling their hits, you can get pretty decent ROF with a well tuned gun even in semi, so it's not like you're at that much of a disadvantage to hit with semi-only. It's really a matter of hitting someone with three shots versus hitting someone with ten.

For some people the attraction of airsoft lies purely in being able to dress up as a soldier i.e. they leave as soon as it starts to rain, or refuse to get their kit dirty.

No, NATO countries simply choose to follow STANAG standards or they don't. The STANAG magazine is used by most NATO countries on their main service weapon such as the UK, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Japan, the Czech Republic, Canada, Poland's new rifle, and so on and so on. Most NATO nations use STANAG magazines. Germans and Austrians being special snowflakes isn't the exception rather than being the rule.

>>
>>742536
Sorry I disagree, I simply don't want to hedge my bets on one round. If you(not you personally) can't handle the pain of getting hit, stop playing airsoft.

If your gun shoots automatic, your limiting yourself with semi,"A burst is best". There is a reason why military's switched to full-auto weapons.

And before you bring up the M16A1 in Vietnam. They didn't switch the weapon to 3-round burst because soldiers weren't getting kills, but because they were running out of ammo on person.

>>742547
Airsoft is larping, nothing wrong with that.
>>
>>742536
Furthermore, Refs in airsoft are a joke. They are only effective against the wildest of assholes and making sure vehicles don't run over people.

The ref won't be there when I ambush a small group in the bush, and I don't want them there. Refs have a really bad habit of giving away positions.

THAT'S the right answer, but I doubt players will follow this attitude though.
People can justify full-auto(or any matter) easily with any logic comes up themselves.
>I can't rely on you calling hits. I need to unload the whole mag on you until you call you are hit. But it doesn't really matter if you call your hits or not, I already dump the whole mag on you with high ROF.
>It's your own fault for bleeding out after a whole mag dump on you, you should wear heavy vest like everyone does.
>You are bad at the game so you let me had chances to full-auto you. It is not your game, you can go, no one force you to play.

I shouldn't be curious for "why people like full-auto guns so much".
>>
>>742635
>If you're (not you personally) so paranoid about people calling their hits, maybe you should stop playing an honor sport like airsoft.
This
>>742651
And all of those justifications are cancerous bullshit. Distrust and assholery ruin the sport
>>
>>742651
Well, it doesn't really matter if people can justify it to themselves or not, because the field and the organizer is the one with the final say. With locals abandoning the full-auto fields for semi fields around here, the full-auto fields are switching over to a semi-auto format, support weapons exceptioned. Clearly, players would rather risk trusting each other than deal with volume of fire wars.
>>
>>742616
>There is a reason why military's switched to full-auto weapons.
No formal modern military encourages full auto on select fire rifles. The AK's fire for example is designed so soldiers in panic mode switch to semi auto rather than full auto. Full auto is essentially useful in very niche scenarios, and many officers discourage it because it is a waste of ammunition when semi-auto riflemen backed up by SAWs Wehrmacht style works much more efficiently.

Actually, I forgot to mention some players will bring overpower pistols(those powered by CO2 or red gas) in case there are needs of punishment for those people who don't call hits.

I am just sayin', not throwing any shit to any specific person.
I heard too much from players who think full-auto everyone is the solution of dealing with cheaters.
Distrust and assholery, they ruin not only this honor sport but everything, really; but they are in human nature, right? How many people learnt to trust each other, or learnt not to be an asshole in fact?

>>742657
Judging from local fields where I live in,
fields just care about maintaining their business,
and game organizer/host is just the person who has bunch of friends, for holding a smooth game and avoiding any conflicts if necessary. They will turn a blind eye if no one complains, because "more mutual friends = more games can be held = more potential income".
>>
>>742668
Service weapons are different than weapons designed for fully automatic fire. Select fire rifles have fully automatic settings designed for bursts of rapid fire activity being needed, such as close quarters or improvised suppressing fire. Mag dump an AK or AR or any modern firearm and see if the barrel which you can't change easily or cool efficiently doesn't warp or melt/burn furniture.

You are missing the point. The point of argument was the effectiveness of semi vs full-auto. Full -auto is more effective.

No one was talking about tactics, techniques, or barrels heating up.

Why are P*s cancer? Because they illustrate that exact point. AEGs cannot match volume of fire to a P*. This doesn't invalidate full-auto, only shows that too much of a good thing is bad in the realm of airsoft.

FFS Airsoft is about as milsim as Battlefield. If you realize this you can make your milsim events more fun instead of being "Hurr we so hard we're going to walk 5 miles in full gear just to get shot up". If I wanted to play army I'd join the fucking army. I want to play airsoft with squad tactics.

If you went to TMP they gave you half-off for Irene, but I know the feeling. We have a bunch of local milsim events here in Wisconsin though, so I should give them a run next season. I'm really just waiting for AMS or MSW to do a major op up here. I don't care much for LCS.
>>
Hey, i have a TM M4 that i just "finished". I am building a USMC MARSOC kit and i wanted to ask what kind of sniper to get as i want to get into it. I was looking at the M40A5 from VFC but i live in norway so it gets a little cold here sometimes. I can also go for a DMR but i dont really know what MARSOC uses, iwe heard SR-25 and M110 are for my kit but im not sure. Btw, for a semi sniper i have a 450fps limit and a 550fps limit on the bolt action (national airsoft laws)
>>
>>743463
Are you okay friend? Just magazines.
>>
>>743777
You won't be liked in here Anon, just prepare your anus for the ultimate asperger rage.

You could get an M40, there were some spring powered ones, but if you want performance get a DMR, you will get more shots even tho you won't "reach" so far, DMRs are OP in arisoft.
A&K SR25s are good platforms to build from, tho essential upgrades are needed, look for guides arround the interwebs.
And god, if you like MARSOC so fucking much then research a bit, don't simply ask on this authist thread.
>>
>>743827
Does not mention what DMR MARSOC uses, it only gives a list of wepons used in the marine corps
>>
>>743833
Of course they won't fucking tell you.
You need too look for pictures and try to decide if they are real or not. For what I've seen they use or used M110s, how accurate you want to be depends on how much you want to spend, so just look arround.
I'm sure that on AR15,com they will have more info, or any Geardo forum.
>>
>>743777
Checked.
I know they use the SCAR Heavy Variant a bunch. Unknown if they've switched the SCAR 17 make now. But either way I've seen use of the SCAR-H (MK17) model as a DMR, apparently they found it very reliable for that long range use. There was also a Sniper Variant (SV) made of the SCAR series. Not too sure if it it was used by MARSOC units. But these both exist in Airsoft. VFC sells them and they are really good, I'd definitely consider upgrading internally if you choose these though.

Hope it helps.
>also yea do your own research too

*flies away*
>>
>>743770
Because a bone stock spring sniper wont even outrange the shittiest of aegs, thats why. For it to perform just like a lightly modded aeg, you need to dump over $400+ USD no joke. Plus for a beginner, ammo costing over 3x the basic .2 or .25 is not reasonable at all.

The sniper role is full of hardship and it is uber expensive.

If anything, build a DMR, at least its better than spring snipers.

Most of my friends are cheapskates when it comes to airsoft. So most of them don't have any camo or too crazy gear. Some of them even borrow my shit every game, which I'm fine with. Other than a camo jacket and a gasmask, I don't have anything too militaristic. It's fun when everybody doesn't take it very seriously.
>>
Absolutely no places to play airsoft nearby me. I'm trying to find some decent urban exploring places I can play airsoft in. Thoughts?
I'm aware of the risks.
>>
>>743914
I should add, pretty much anything and everything would be an upgrade. Last place I played at was a playground at night. The one time we had trouble was a cop pulled up, so we stashed our gear in the playground and told him we were playing manhunt (its a nice neighborhood, we were local and this was in high school). Things are desperate here.

>>
>>743916
Playing anywhere urban is probably a bad idea if its not enclosed. If you're american theres a chance a cop will just shoot you, and theres a chance a stray bb hits a kid and then you're fucked. If you can find an old building its pretty fun though. I used to run with some guys who would break into old buildings for fun and have air soft fights.
>>
>>743916
Basic, most basic rule to doing this, is finding a place at least 1 mile away from public view.

After you do, contact your Local Law Enforcement and let them know you're there, playing with fake looking guns or airsoft if they know what that is.

I frequently go to 2 places which is not an "official" field, but LEO knows we're there and since its far enough from public view they don't mind.

If you get complaints from residents you're totally fucked tho.

>>743922

Perhaps you are fine waiting patiently, but I'm sure you are expecting your bolt-action to shoot with precision and accuracy, which no sniper rifle can do off the shelf. That's where the $400 figure comes in because of the upgrades.

You can achieve the same thing for even less with an AEG with a few mods. Counting the gun's cost, you most likely won't even have to spend over $250. I may be just basing it off US prices here but I'm positive you would still be saving a lot more compared with upgrading a sniper rifle.

Of course, you don't have to listen to some random anon and just do what you do. Just giving some advice.

>>
>>744244
Airsoft is not a cheap hobby. Even the cheapest of aegs will cost you just a bit more than a spring sniper.

There's a reason they're cheap. They dont perform.
>>
>>744243
Just a bit of advice, the only good gas SVD is the WEtech one, and it still requires some modifications and tapping the mags to HPA.

Reason is, with only green gas or propane, the FPS is not constant and it varies a lot from shot to shot, so it needs the hpa to have consisten fps and shots.
>>
>>744288
Np, I have a tank and reg already for my polarstar

Get a gas sniper and tap the mags for hpa; or just spend the money needed for an hpa rig on upgrades. The WELL gas AWM isn't a Tanaka by any means, but it's a good base.
