I think wrestling's time might just be past. Nothing lasts forever. Yeah, but other good things they've done like all the Ambrose/Styles feud with Ellsworth for the championship was great and at the same time hated by Alvarez because "the title meant less that way", or all of Survivor Series and all the Shane matches because "Shane shouldn't be wrestling at the same level as the current guys" or "AJ Styles shouldn't be wasted on Shane" like it was the most serious thing in the world even though it was very entertaining.
The dirtsheets really give you a lot of negativity only because WWE is not doing what they want them to be doing.

I totally agree, Russo also critiques the show hard and calls out Road Dogg for doing a bad job sometimes but he always does it with a non-serious tone and also giving you a real and good explanation of why X or Y doesn't work, meanwhile Meltzer (and especially Alvarez) has this serious vision of wrestling like it was fucking real and only know to say "WWE sucks, NJPW is amazing, this is the best year of wrestling" and critique 3 hours of RAW without any real backup other than "if this was real, this wouldn't make any sense" LIKE IT WAS REAL ANYWAYS, unless it's a good indie match or the story is "I want your title, let's fight for it lmao". Old Njpw stressed Realism or seriousness. Shibatas style is closer to Tenryu or late 90s old Ajpw guys.

Only traditions Njpw kept is cosmetic stuff (logos) and titles and tournys and young lions.

Their actual style isn't strongstyle anymore. By style I mean image and booking.
