Go tm. More pricey and all that but parts actually work on them. Taran slides don't fit perfectly, there's a bit of wobble that is pretty annoying, but otherwise are drop in. SAI builds are fucking disgusting and overdone, not to mention SAI irl is trash.

Build a Fowler glock, Ready Fighter just put out a mark1 and mark2 Fowler slide. It costs 293 USD though.

TA is a fine retailer in general, but the worst part I've found is their extravagant shipping charges, I can get everything shipped for $10 less from Airsoft Depot which is literally in the same province. I always buy from them last, everyone seems to charge more reasonably for shipping.

CBSA is really finicky. Just don't try to smuggle and make sure it shoots at least above 366 fps and has documentation stating that. Otherwise they detain it and chances are you won't have a good enough reason for them to release it.

Do some googling of anything you end up interested in. I'm not well versed in airsoft surgeon for the glocks. If you want absolutely NO wobble, either get a PGC slide or buy one of the S3F slides from Rainbow8(or get it from RTS with a sweet BBU).

I don't have any experience with it because when I bought one, the store took it to test it for function and it broke within a magazine. Do not bother with the the KWC Mak, ever, period, they are ticking time bombs at best. I do however have a WE PMM that I put a WE old school grip on and it actually works well so far.

The only trouble with grabbing the KWC as a bartering tool is either you're going to get stuck with it as a wide range of people know they are good for nothing, or worse, you'll trade it to someone and they'll come back whining at you when it breaks, because it will.

I have to admit that of all the airsoft guns out there, the KWC Mak probably has the least merit to ever buy unless you want to hang it on a wall and never pull the trigger. Their biggest problem is their weak trigger linkage, made of a poor plastic that snaps, rendering the gun useless. What's worse is, commonly, as I experienced when the shop tested it before sending it to me, this happened within the first few rounds, just function checking it. As far as an investment goes, for trade or otherwise, it's one of the worst decisions you can make. If you want to make sure I'm not full of shit, check on Youtube, there are plenty of videos detailing how bad of a design they are.

Normal taginns are expensive. I found some used for 200 for 5 shells with a bunch of rounds. I only had two peckers tho and I broke those after a couple shots. I found that roma tomatoes work really well in them. Normal rounds cost $4.5 usd or higher. These costed me $0.25 usd for 7. Same range, very quality splat sound when it lands.

LCT's version of the VAL needs an extender just to mount a PSO1 since the top/dust cover is pretty huge, but is really on par with the real thing, the AY one is insanely not up to scale and looks butt ugly. The NPO VAL has it's barrel/suppressor a couple of centimeters longer than the real thing and can readily mount a PSO1, but is insanely hard to procure unless you like buying overseas and costs a lot (Redwolf has them for $700), mags cost a lot too. All three have the charging handle at the wrong position as well. I really don't care about aesthetics so I might cop me a new LCT AS VAL.

Optics only make it *easier* to shoot your target, it doesn't make them more accurate. Feasibly these kinds of optics can help you land shots more consistently if your gun is already accurate, but they do not extend the effective range, only your effective range. Most people are handicapped by their gun more than they are by their eyesight. A red dot for easy target acquisition only makes sense if your gun is very accurate, and it goes doubly so for some long range "sniper" configuration using a scope. A lot of people I know just have a cheap optic for looks and then guide the rounds in home by watching their path.
