The fact that the threads die are only a testimony to the genocide that is currently taking place against our people.
I will be sending a letter to the pope.

The double punch at 3:44 appears in goju karate a lot, but the stance is weird.

Man recovering from an injury is shit. After badly spraining my ankle playing ape hoops Ive been out for 2 weeks. I feel like a slob already.
>>
>>2740705
Two weeks isn't so bad anon.

If I, as a totally inexperienced male in the twenties, were to pick a martial art, which one should be preferable?
My ideal choose would be something to rapidly and efficently defeat my opponents.
I've tried this test and the results suggested kenpo, followed by karate:
Although I doubt the reliability of online tests.
>>
When I'm on someone's back I can't triangle my legs without having an arm grab the leg and help out. Wat do?
>>
>>2741453
kenpo is karate, but yeah online tests have 0 credibility.
It depends on how they spar, if they do point sparring you're going to learn a lot less then you would if they did contact sparring.
Anything with full contact is good equally.
Honestly boxing doesn't have kicks, has a lot of cardio and fighting professionally is bad on the brain. You're gonna sweep the floor against untrained people regardless though.
There's Muay Thai which has some grappling and uses more knees and elbows
There's kyokushin karate which doesn't have punches to the head and uses more high kicks than muay thai
Full contact kenpo is just kickboxing, they're like kyokushin but with punches to the head and less conditioning of the body (muay thai also does conditioning)
Sanda is kickboxing with grappling
Wing chun has a bad reputation, in theory it's exactly what you're looking for but either the training methods or the way they spar make it underperform.
Tae kwon do has a severe lack of punching

Thank you, this was very direct and informative. I'll look into these possibilities and reflect on which would be the best fo me.
>>
>>2741545
Just see what's near you, it's probably only one or two.
>>
>>2741564
Yeah, I'm taking it into account.
Actually there's surprisingly quite a lot of stuff.
However, of those mentioned in the previous post just boxe, kickboxing, karate (but it's Goju-ryu) and Muay Thai.
>>
>>2741634
Can't really go wrong with boxing, since boxers actually train to fight so the odds of you being taught some bullshit that doesn't work are 0%. I'd imagine it's the same with kickboxing. With Muay Thai and especially karate I'd be wary since those have the kind of eastern mysticism associated with them that self-deceiving bullshit artists love to latch on to.

The OP has a good list of what makes a gym legit. If there are members competing (in full contact fighting not touchbutt) it should be a legit gym.
>>
>>2741658
Forgot to preface my post with the fact that choosing a good gym is way more important than choosing a specific style.
>>
>>2741658
>>2741663
yeah, I was going to look for reviews and/or visit the places anyway.
I'll check the guide.

I want to do it again to see what "anti personal and sabatoge" will get me

>WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A MARTIAL ARTS GYM:

be unbiased and objective to see anything in the first place
- the coaches Are knowledgeable
- the coaches are able to evaluate students objectively
- the coaches can use their knowledge to solve problems and answer questions logically
- the physical conditioning methods follow scientifically valid facts
- in turn, people get better, people have fun, because of the fact that that's what makes a good gym, not despite the fact

Whoa we have a badass over here. Nah but good luck. Atleast at that level you dont have to deal with ringers like us bluies have to

Those guys are obviously Freestyle Striking-based MMA fighters. Red Shirt has a Boxing influence, Chain Pants has a Karate influence, Hoodie has a Kickboxing influence, Brown Shirt has a Taekwondo or Karate influence.

>Although I doubt the reliability of online tests.
Correlation is not causation.
Experience is only as credible as how it's interpreted.

The quality of something should be judged based on it's quality, not it's origin.
>>
>>2742707
At least browns are well equipt to deal with it. Having only a year odd experience against someone with 5 makes for a bad time

I feel yah, even as a purple belt that was a problem, I hated it.
>>
>>2741634
Goju-ryu is superior to all other martial art forms. It's well rounded and a well developed striking and grappling martial art.
