Where I'm from, a lot of events are for teams only, with requirements like having the same camo and close-looking gear and stuff.
I like my team, it's pretty fun. For example, we switched from multicam to coyote brown only to tell jokes about bringing the brown pants.
A lot of people in the local community take airsoft way too seriously. There's shit like commanders council, where grown-ass men decide who wears what, there's constant tension between reenactors and people that just came to play, and so on.
Still, as the time goes, community grows, some split and do their respective things, so there are a lot of alternatives.

Should have said pixelated tigerstripe, since its not actually digital. US Army got all futuristic with their UCP uniform, and US Air Force wanted to be in the cool gang and followed with a pixelation of their tigerstripe.

UCP was a miserable attempt at being an effective camouflage, and the grey pixel mess that was once tigerstripe, was no different.

Air Force security personnel specialize in base security, which involves a lot of laying around in OPs or ambush defenses. Designing your camo for that purpose isn't a bad idea, if it wasn't for the fact that going prone already gives you a very good camouflaging cover already.

Original tigerstripe isn't all that terrible, it has the right colors for woodland terrain which gives you a lot of points already. The issue is that it suffers from small detail patterning, which doesn't provide much visual disruption at range and makes your body shape more easily recognizable since all those stripes blends in to one big blob of color.

You're entirely wrong about what's what for that camo. Multicam aside, the middle isn't MARPAT, though it's very similar. It's a Korean pattern used by their Special Warfare Command group. Multicam is used exclusively by ROK SEALS in Korea, and the pattern on the left is a domestic ROK pattern for their marine corps. Pretty much the only thing you'd be able to get domestically from that is the multicam, and maybe approximate the middle pattern with MARPAT. The left pattern is right out though. I figured you would have tipped off considering the tac'd out Daewoos.

Get yelled at, do burpies, freeze at night with multicasuals who can't into sustainment kit, run at buildings and die horrible deaths because no one brought blank fire to suppress windows, commit war crimes, have tantrums in door frames, etc.

Fewer casuals and yelling if you put in for one of the snowflake units like GROM, KSK, the Brits, even the Aussies or the Spaniards, but there's a whole bunch of casuals leading casuals on NATO because Multicam and M4s are what's popular with low-grade airsoft teams, even moreso than Militia because at the least they tend to be lead by either older players who never got into multicam or experienced RUSFOR players, or even a few dedicated militia players.

All that said, there is literally nothing wrong with going multicam or marine grunt. As long as you pull you come prepared and pull your weight, you'll get along fine. Just because other people don't and then leave doesn't necessarily mean you can't have a blast. If you do decide to rock the multiglam (or any other NATO group), make sure you make yourself known to the guy organizing the /k/asp/ian militia platoon and I'll make sure you get invited to bbq after the game to shoot the shit with everyone else.

tl;dr, pretty princesses who can't into 40 hours detract from the multicam rank and file. If you do go NATO, square away with a European impression squad for an optimal experience and FUN.

USPC is better designed; will work with green gas or propane out of the box with no worries. There are way more upgrade options for the G17 though, so you can really personalize them and tune them to run pretty good, but need a metal slide/barrel and frame replacement to take green gas without worrying about the front post breaking.

All depends on what it's for. If you keep it stock go with the USPC

It's a WE gbb AR15, and I want to shorten it down a little.

It's got the Colt Moderator on it, and since it's long, a fair length of the inner barrel runs through it, but I want to take off the moderator and put a regular birdcage hider on there, and thus I need a shorter inner barrel (or I'll have a brass tube sticking out of my muzzle).

Also how would I take out and replace an inner barrel on an AR15 gbb? I'm guessing I'll have to at least take the entire barrel assembly out of the gun, right? That's how it is in my pistols.

Minimum profile active hearing communications headset. It's designed to go under gas masks, dive suits, and helmets too tight to fit comms (like my Zsh 1-2m). Post- apocalyptic event coming up, and I am thinking that I will make a plate carrier out of trash. My plan is to take a 5 gallon bucket and cut off a piece for the base, then bolt some galvanized pipe strap (to hold my mags) and old license plates to the front while using old belts as the shoulder straps. One big firefighter exercise field full of houses and containers that airsoft groups sometimes rent for bigger event, 15 min with bike.

I got lucky with this, that is all I got to say. Most people have to drive for an hour or two to reach their favorite fields.

I'm on a team called the T.A.C.O. Unit. We used to get tacos after every game, but now it's basically just whatever we're all in the mood for. It usually ends up being AYCE KBBQ. Eichigoya used to be your best bet, but they recently closed their US branch so there's that.
Other than that, there's the JG/Tercel/AGM Type 89 that's a good amount cheaper than the TM but you still need to import it.

So, I'm not from /asp/, but I came to ask: Does anyone know of an airsoft version of the five-seven that has a rounded trigger guard, like pic related? The real ones are hard to find, so I was thinking of just getting an airsoft version to satisfy the urge.

For those of you that run a pistol secondary, how many magazines do you usually bring with you? Was there ever a moment where it actually came in handy?

Depends. In mixed terrain and CQB it's pretty much necessary to have one, in my opinion (unless you run a pistol AR or something, in which case kys). In the outdoors? I could get away with using a springer as a holster filler 99% of the time.
I run with 3 mags because I liked the USP in CS having 12+24 rounds, so I do the same, having a Mk23.

I play mostly woodland, for short games I don't bother taking the pistol at all, but in longer games where reloading opportunities for the primary are limited, I'll take an extra mag for the pistol. Even then it doesn't see much use.

Sidearms are mostly for plinking and finger fucking to be entirely honest though.

I think what he's saying is, there's no middle ground in his community anymore. It's either full on milsim players, or little kids. The average joe with a halfway decent gun, and what ever we he found at his local goodwill or local army navy store has gone the way of the dodo.

Can't really blame them if it's like here everywhere else. Facebook generation is, as a whole, fucking toxic. They crank the brand loyalty to the 11, and trash talk both brands and people that use them. It doesn't even serve as a warning to watch out for worse brands, it's just a way to feel superior for spending 50$ more for G&P instead of something else. Memes, """"bantz""""" and the serious approach is fucking lame, especially when you play with the same people and see how petty they are, and either reverse hit calling and losing their temper in mere minutes or spoiling the games for fun because they're "so much better than this sunday game, so they'll play ironically".

HPA is becoming popular here, and of course the chucklefucks that market it picked the shittalking strategy. Ironic hashtags, ad hominems, and penis size guessing. If all else fails call them poor and salty.

Not him, but I used to work for an airsoft field / shop. Once sandy hook happened is when it started dying around here. I'm from a liberal shithole, and the cool younger kids stopped playing because the parents wouldn't let them.

the billy bad ass milsim faggots would intimidate any new people from sticking around too long, as they were clique as fuck, and would always go 100% on the new people and not offer to teach them or even begin to show them the ropes. Which in a way, I understood, because of how cancerous the new wave of players was. There's a few other factors that went into it, but I think sandy hook was one of the big ones. The poor management and general horrible conditions of the field were another big one.

The only thing I miss about being a ref was bullshiting with the people that didn't take it seriously, but respected the rules. I made some of the best friends I could have hoped for that way.
