I remember Punk saying he was given the choice of becoming heel and work Rock or stay face and give the title to Bryan because Rock had to work with a heel. So I guess Punk choosing to become heel pulled the plug on this one. I remember that whole story turned so awkward really fast and couldn't explain why (aside from the usual belief of the writers being a bunch of retarded monkeys), it's nice to know there was more behind to it. I suppose by prolonging the angle she means the Kane Bryan stuff.

Still I can't help but wonder how would a Bryan/w AJ Vs Rock would've turned out. At least Punk wouldn't have grown so bitter by having to lose to the Rock later. I can see Bryan as a guy who'd willingly offer himself to be fed to Rock twice without complaining.
