I desired all of that stuff, got it, and felt empty once the novelty worn off.
If someone was willing to buy all of that stuff for me I think I'd honestly just get a steel AK with quick spring change system, a Tokyo Marui Glock and be done with it forever.
I never get to use half of the shit I bought, I will probably never get to use it, damn me for wanting unique raifus and stuff.
On the upside, I'll probably HPA tap both Mk23 and F2000 and that will increase the enjoyment I get out of those platforms.
Or I'll regret buying HPA because I'll find myself banned from everything, because HPA is satan itself.

I knew it was plastic, and that the TM AR-15 disassembly is shit. However, I wasn't aware of it's horrible barrel assembly, which is just a metal pipe glued into the delta ring assembly that's directly molded to the upper. Managed to get it fixed with epoxy resin, holds better than ever, even relieved me of the remorse (don't plan on upgrading it visually anyways).

Brain Exploder really likes his KWA (brace for dank memes) one, the only issue I've seen with them is that the extended mags can barely put all 40 bbs through the gun, so you're restricted to the smaller 20 round mags.

If you don't mind small mag sizes I'd say go for it. Bring an AEG or something with a larger mag , but it would be fine for CQB or as a backup gun if you ran something like a sniper or SAW with a MED.

The Well R2 is cheap, fully compatible to the TM Vz. 61, and worth a buy. However, I'd try and get my hands on the ASG version of the Skorpion, since it's full metal and in the same price range. Mags are cheap, and available as mid-caps, hi-caps, or even drum mags. Modifying it might be a bit of a hassle, since the switch assembly can't be removed without destroying it.

Last Saturday some gaylord was bitching I sprayed him with my tapped GBBR from over 15 m away. The few BBs I fired were aimed at his torso where they hit. I also chronoed it right before the game and it had 450 which is okay for around here but no "HPA kills" so he had to moan about it. I wouldn't. KJW's are definitely better than KWC, and likely better than Gletcher, though to be honest I don't know about those for sure. If your friend's KWC breaks, you can laugh as they try to find parts to fix it whilst your KJW is compatible with TM parts. You have probably the second best airsoft M1911 out there behind the TM, I think you'll find before too long your friends will be regretting their choices.

No CO2 Mk23 as far as I'm concerned. I do have a Dan Wesson for winter games. I know there's plenty good CO2 guns on the market, but then again - I wanted a Mk23 specifically, so now I have to somehow make the best of it.

Popular platforms get relatively cheap mags, at least as far as pistols are concerned. Unfortunately this heavily traded UMAREX piece of shit costs double, I also had to get the mags from HK.

Uhhh... I'm not sure what you're trying to say here - I agree, doesn't change the fact that KWA guns with NS7 or whatever system run well above 350 FPS. I can lower the pressure of HPA, no way to do it with GG. I tried those power down valves but they don't really remove the issue completely.

Any way I cut it, I could have spend the money on something better, like a TM Glock. But I wanted a Mk23 soooo much, breh. And it's not like I'll get even half of what it's worth if I try to sell it now, so might as well try to HPA tap it. It's not like I get to use it if it exceeds CQB limits.

Maybe I'll return to Hi Capa one day when I'll want something popular and easy to work with.

I have a couple. After the JLS incident I talked about in the last thread, I bought an Airsoft GI """""custom""""" G4-A1 which was really just a $260 Combat Machine with a Madbull Noveske rail. It lasted a couple of years, but the problems came in force. The motor pinion stripped and so did one of the hex keys on the grip so it was next to impossible to take off to repair, and when I got an AEG savvy friend to take a look at it, he showed me that the gearbox had fractured in multiple places and the piston was beyond fucked. I ended up parting out the things like the Noveske rail and fake VLTOR stock since I could have just bought a new rifle with the money that I would need to pay to fix it.

The other one was a set of two Well MP7s. I bought them off a guy for $50 knowing that they needed work, but holy hell are they a basket case. One had a working motor, but a cracked gearbox, and the other had a fried motor but an intact gearbox and poor compression. I managed to make a franken-gun out of the two, but I never could get the BBs to go farther than a foot. P

Is the AGM guns any good? I really would like a Stg 44. Or maybe a mp 40.

I've never liked the "competitive" side of airsoft. Matches where teams compete for points in a sporty fashion are not good and mechanics of airsoft are the problem. Airsoft was never meant to be a competitive "sport" in a "sporty" way like paintball. Target shooting is the only fitting and truly competitive way of playing airsoft, which was by the way, the first thing airsoft was created for.

"Player vs Player" style serious competitive matches require referees to constantly watch the players, because the bar for cheating and really confusing moments is very low. Bbs are much smaller and harder to spot when they hit a person unlike paintball rounds which brings more responsibility to the referees. Since they don't leave a mark unless hit on bare skin the referees job is even harder.

Airsoft is truly a recreational hobby. It's for fun times and thrill with a hint of simulation added to it. Something between re-enactment and paintball and if one likes, it can shift closer to one or another.
Paintball suits for those who don't care about details, want same but with less simulation and more pace, but also don't want to play laser tag.

I've Owned a WE XDM for years and it's been working fine with no leaks in the mags. All I've done is basic cleaning and lubricating

Anyway, I've decided to say fuck it and use a skull lower half mask after all. I've cut parts of it so it more or less blends with ESS Cortex Clip and my Turbofans. I can also use HL Impact Sports with it. Cheekweld is pretty much ass, but I don't use low-profile sights so I can deal with it

That's for CancerQB and skirmishes, where I'm guaranteed to get shot in the face at some point.
For milsims and slow paced games I'll probably stick to using some sort of ESS glasses and a shemagh with a SteelMouth underneath.

Are you willing to repair the guns when they fail? They're quite high maintenance. If you are then I'd try an AR, my experience with AKs is that you need to use loctite on the screws because of the shaking. Things got loos on them easily. Other than that focus on what you plan to do in your role. Do you just want an assault rifle or a dmr?

Not out of the box really. I've had an MP40 that steadily declined just from shooting it over two years, and an STG in which the shitty motor blew after a few weeks.

All in all however, I think they make some pretty cool replicas for a market that's rather tapped on both of those gun designs, so, I won't speak against owning them, I did in fact buy another MP40 which I intend to upgrade. I would say buy either with the intent to upgrade their shitty internals or fix them when they break. I can also mention that the STG is very, very easy to pull apart.

6.03 or 6.02 are good choices, 6.01 is only good if you know what you're doing. barrels really count for how much the BB bounces around, and how much air is released when the BB is shot. widebore barrels 6.05+ are used with the idea of a pocket of air surrounding the BB and cushioning it as it goes down the barrel. as for bore consistency, ZCI barrels are very high quality. hop up quality depends on what you use, it's common to flat hop to get as much contact on the BB as possible. advanced hops are R-Hop and ER-Hop

Is it usually like this? I expected cool new optics and primaries, not just M4 or AK #4505837373747 with a slightly different body kit.

The only thing that really looked interesting was the Krytac Vector and the GBBR .308 AR, and the Vector doesn't even appear to be very good and the .308 AR is only because of aesthetics.

Always. Airsoft is generally at least a couple of years behind current guns since they need to do things like make castings and tooling for the new guns, which takes time and money to do. Not every airsoft manufacturer is like WE where they just shit out new prototypes nonstop.

ICS is pretty much the definition of Ok. It has a fair amount of proprietary parts so upgrading can be difficult. They perform well enough out of the box but you need to hope it basically stays stock since the moment anything goes wrong you're gonna have a pain in the ass getting it performing well again.

I have the HOG which was released at the same time as the APE so I have some experience. I really can't complain about it. Everything seems to work just fine and its not like it doesn't take standard hop or barrel components so basic upgrades are pretty easy.
