One of the best things about the MG36 is that I have a G36C and I'm getting an extended outerbarrel and handguard with bipod so that I can convert from an LMG to a carbine length rifle easily. I'll also likely get it an inner barrel to match.

I like AK's and think RPK's are really neat but I don't honestly agree with your arguments. Some areas where the MG36 beat the RPK out are weight, ability to fold the stock for better storage (I believe there may be airsoft RPK's that are capable of this but I'm not certain), ambidextrous controls. Additionally as I mentioned above, one of the neat things about the G36 platform is the ability to easily and cheaply swap one rifle type to another.

In general I like AK's more than the G36 line but I have to hand it to the MG36, I think it objectively beats the RPK out. The one place where the RPK probably does beat the MG36 is overall durability, but as the other Anon mentioned they're pretty sturdy.

What is the best eye protection for airsoft?

New to airsoft (but not paintball), and I want to know what goggles offer the best eye protection and aesthetic appearance.
Every search result turns up a few random brands, but a few products kept reappearing like:

1911 mags are pretty slim so they only hold about a mag and a half, maybe two mags worth if it's a really warm day.

As for the WE version, you save a lot of money but the QC is pretty shitty and they use really cheap and brittle metals. That being said, for the price of a stock TM Desert Warrior, you could have a WE version with upgraded parts.

If not, I would recommend you buy a stock rifle and upgrade it yourself. With a bit of research it's not difficult, and you'll end up with a better gun than in your pic.

If you're going to get a BASR, you'll want to do it properly, otherwise you'll basically end up with a gun that has a similar effective range as an AEG, but with a ROF orders of magnitude lower. Then once you discover this you just won't bother taking it out, and it'll sit at home collecting dust (still fun for plinking at home though).

I don't want to piss on your parade though, and if you want to get the gun in your pic go ahead, it could still be good fun playing with, which is the whole point of airsoft anyway.

I think I should explain a bit of background and the areas where I'm playing at to clear some stuff up. Back when I started airsofting I only had my brother's old shitty springer shotgun, a mask and some 0.2g BB:s. I was rather desperate for a AEG so when I had the chance I bought the earlier mentioned cheap AKS-74U at a black Friday sale. The AK has worked rather good alongside with my friend's guns. Most of my airsofting friends live in Finland, Tervo where there are no ranges, just forests where your only covers are trees and the ground. Most of my friend's loadouts are the same as mine: (mostly stock spec) primary weapon, mask, weapon's stock hi-cap or mid-cap magazines, (depends on weapon) and clothing. Even though we are poorfags and our loadouts are shit we have had fun playing. We only have external mods like sights/scopes on snipers or rarely, AEG:s. In a nutshell we're poorsofters with rather incomplete loadouts playing in a foresty area with stock guns.

With a 6mm bb going at 500fps or lower, with and extremely low effective range, changing the harmonics of the barrel would be worthless. With real firearms the actual benefits don't manifest until you're taking shots well beyond 600 meters.

As for smooth bore barrels in airsoft, apparently people have experimented with rifling and there were almost zero benefits for more work.

New inner barrel and hopup, slide release, and safety are givens. Stock WE barrels are trash, the bucking is too soft and oily, and things like the safety and slide release are made from soft pot metal that wear down or even just shear right off.

The Esstacs are pretty good for that. 762 Shop makes modernized Chicoms out of codura that can take 2 mags in each pouch and still close, and have little mollee spaces where the grenade pouches would be so you can fit sizable grenade pouches or radio ouches.

I'm back, this Saturday was something different.

First, I ended up paying double because we were having an event for an airsoft team that does this every year alongside with toys for tots. The whole thing lasted from 11AM to 10PM, and also featured free food, raffle, and Christmas themed game modes. I had decided to test the Alpenflage this time instead of my usual M81, and I have to say I am impressed with not just how well I blended in with the environment, but also how easily I could have everything accessed and stored. Pretty much we're often told to wait until more people are having the issue, or wait until we see deliberate cheating. Intentional destruction of field property, or other stupid shit like shooting outside the gaming area is insta gtfo. Here's a little secret too. Most indoor fields aren't doing that well, and can't afford to kick people out because one or two guys said something. A lot of refs like the ones in that video also don't really care about hit calling that much. There is many other things they have to worry about, and like that guy was saying "we we hired more people." They are often understaffed at these fields too. The usual way it gets handled is refs tell he guy having the issue to "shoot him until he doesn't want to play anymore." If he doesn't call the first hit or two.

When it came to bullpups, two issues stuck out to me when using them. First is how the weight is distributed. A bullpup, by nature, is back heavy since the mechanics are in the back. When having to hold one with one hand, I find it hard to keep balanced in comparison to, say, an M4. Second is because of the mechanics being in the rear, the buttstock will be quite bulky and wide, sorta like a Thompson's buttstock. If you have gear like a vest on, you will find it hard to get a good resting position on your shoulder. In regards to ergonomics, that's the whole reason behind bullpups, other than a shorter overall length, so of course the ergonomics will be better- if not noticeably different.
The P90 (again, in my experience) were something I wanted to get a hold of for a long time since I got the chance to use one from one of my buddies on the field. It's just so solid and compact, I feel that I could do some pretty extreme maneuvers without a risk of it breaking something on the exterior. The magazine never bothered me, and the only issue I see is the length of said magazine when on your person.

1. I believe to a certain extent, yes, though perhaps not as much as actual firearms. You can still put a longer tightbore in a bullpup while saving length, so that is to some degree advantageous.

2. P90's can be a little tough, I bought one and hoped like hell that I would like how it felt and I lucked out. They are a really nice gun for their size. As for mag awkwardness, if you practice it can actually get fairly slick. The trick is to pull the magazine out the same time you depress the magazine catch to remove it without a delay to do both separately, and when inserting it use the guides for help and press it down once it hits the end of the 'mag well'.

In fact, if you don't mind tossing your mags on the ground, though, I bet you likely would as I would, you can actually yank P90 magazines out of the gun and pull them in a straight line over your shoulder before pulling your next mag up and guiding it in. As long as you have good magazines that fit well and quick, the P90 can actually be fairly fast to reload.

As another Anon mentioned the magazines are a little less nice to store on a vest, or etc. because they are long. However P90 magazines do have raised sections on the portion that faces the front of the gun, and a swelled round back portion so pulling them from standard "P90/UMP" magazine pouches can be quick.

I have a Cyma MP5 with a full stock and I'ts fucking nice.
I had a precision barrel installed, and downgraded though.
The only thing is, I got RIS rails on the front but I feel like the weight distribution would have been better if I put on some original handguard.

Guys, can someone do me a favor and tell me about the Cyma P90 ?
And if anyone has it, could you post a picture of the underside of it ? I'd like to know what they did with the opening where the shells are supposed to fall out with the original one. Don't want the gearbox to be visible or something.

Would a longer inner barrel actually do shit ? I thought it was about the quality of the barrel and the hop up and that the length didnt do shit, but ive been out of it for too long.

You know it. I wanted to test the uniform/kit, so I used it for our special event at the field. It was below freezing on the days leading up to the event, but as soon as the morning was over on the day it started, we got 70 degree heat... Still got a good result out of it. I don't even know how but the camouflage on it worked wonders. When I took up my M99 for a few runs, nobody could find me and I was picking them off one by one.

yeah but isn't a 260mm barrel good enough to get the same shit as a 363mm one ( if the quality is the same )?
