Well, the way I see it, is that GBBRs are a expensive, delicate, luxurious thing that require TLC.

When choosing one, you should understand that they are a expensive thing and eventually, they will break down in some form with time and use. Some brands like WE it may even be out of the box. Some like GHK will last you a year before something fails, but it will happen, and you should prepare for that.

They will have their quirks and issues, but in the end, if you treat them right, they will treat you better.

I don't throw or bash my rifle, I don't spam the trigger like it's some crazy $1000 speedsoft setup, and i clean and lube it on the regular.

The result?

A rifle from a admittedly horrible brand, that hasn't broken down once within the 6 months of use, that fires like it's brand new.

Only thing internally I have ever done with it is get it R Hopped by a guy, and now it's like a sniper.

I understand that. I love GBBRs because of their admittedly realistic internals and completely mechanical operation. I'm not very good with electronics or wiring. My issue is that I do run my guns hard, much harder than other people, where I'm going up against brier bushes, slamming into walls, mounting in mud, and hitting the ground hard. I just recently had to put my M733 back together because I lost grip on a loose board and sent it flying two feet ahead of me. Simple fix, but I had to switch out of it for the game.

I've been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a smoke-out with those things. After long enough your throat will start to burn a bit, but that's only if you're continuously breathing that shit in. It sucks, but that was at the very beginning of the OP and I had no negative repercussions through the rest of the OP and beyond. As long as you're using it as a backdrop and you make sure the wind is in the right direction, you won't have any problems. It also shouldn't do anything to dye clothes, provided you're not holding the business end of the grenade right up on the clothing. It will dye any surface you put it right next to though, so unless you're standing them straight up, you'll probably have that to worry about.

Finally, don't put it on anything incredibly dry and flammable. They're "cold" burning, but they can still start shit with bone dry brush or grass if you're not careful. Pick up an EG18 if you want the most bang for your buck and they're large enough to place standing up so you can get a good clear smoke dispersion without dying your driveway.

The externals on the WELL aren't so much the problem as the internals you keep no matter what. The barrel, hop-up, bucking, and nub are all garbage and need replacing, but replacing them is no simple task as the barrel assembly isn't standard AEG. If you want to HPA an AEP you're best off with a TM.

An AK done up to be modernized can be cool as fuck. And I do somewhat agree that an m4 style stock and tube on an AK just doesn't look and feel right most of the time.
