Since you obviously can already flick the board for other stuff and know how to land on it you need to just focus on flicking your kickflip faster. Get it spinning as fast as possible that way you've got time to get back on it before chickenfooting out. It tends to be a slow spinning trick unless you really flick it.

It's actually about 7 minutes of a bunch of spergs sitting around talking about stupid shit before they even properly skate the fucking epicly-random-you-can't-skate-this-board, which to me is even worse.

On a different note, I can consistently do hospital heels now, and I'm happy because I only started practicing yesterday.
Learning that trick did fuck up my regular heelflips though. I landed a regular heelflip during a game of skate today and it was the weirdest feeling. Like I was doing the motion of a kickflip but I just twisted my foot in such a way that the trick looked like a heelflip.

lol you summed it up better than I could've.. Majer Crew makes clickbaity videos too but theirs end up usually being interesting at least. For example in one they use long screws to mount 4 decks on top of each other to a pair of trucks, at first they can barely ride it, but at the end they manage to ollie 3 boards primo. Whereas with the kyro vids its just like "yeah the iPad broke! totally zany who would've guessed!!"

There's a really cool scene in 'K Return of Kings' that seems to be a rotoscoped animation of Skate 3 - one of the characters of the show fights with a skateboard deck, and in that scene they show him cruising through the streets, bigspin up a curb, kickflip a planter, and then bluntslide down this thing. It looks amazing , but must have taken forever to animate , because its literally the only time in the whole show they show him skating.

I believe its in the 2nd episode.. Maybe third? Pic related is the character. The show itself really sucks beyond the first couple episodes but the first episode & that skating scene are amazing art-wise.

I used to have a webm of it but its on my old computer I don't have anymore. I think a skateboarding anime would be cool if it wasn't done in a serious style and instead more like kill-la-kill, exaggerated, unserious, and art-centric. That said I'm not really an anime fan so maybe my opinion doesn't matter.

You could ride anything really, the Almost 'impact' boards have an insert that makes them stronger & resists breakage but I've never ridden them myself so I can't really personally recommend them. Just make sure you get indy, thunder, or venture trucks and spitfire, bones or oj wheels

Yeah, built a 4ft mini ramp in my buddy's backyard. It's worth it if you've got the time and tools. Only really paid for the masonite because like teenage retards we just jacked wood from construction sites. Ended up replacing the masonite with 1/8 plywood that we painted with weatherproof outdoor paint we got from the botched color bin at Home Depot.

I 'll tell you what helped me in heelflips though and later on (some nights ago) landed me some fakie kickflips:

practice your "snap": pop and disengage your backfoot from the tail. As soon as that tail hits ground, get your foot up in the air. This buys you time in the air. The rest is up to your flick and commitment. It doesn't take strength, just the right technique.

Just skated for the first time in ~7 years, my dudes.
Suddenly felt a strong urge to skate and bought a complete off ebay (element deck, wheels, ceramic bearings, hardware and manton trucks) and some DC shoes that were on sale really cheap.
It took me like 5 minutes to muster the courage to drop into the 4ft mini but I fucking did it. Dropped into some bigger ramps after that and re-learnt some goober tier stuff in the mini like bs 5050, rock to fakie. Then because I'm an absolute madman I ollied the little 3 stair.

I stopped because I was getting pretty serious about street and after a few minor injuries and some really close calls, I became very paranoid about hurting myself badly and not being able to surf (which has always been my real sport) for months. Funny how my teenage mind was only worried about my body getting fucked up because of potentially missing good waves.

He was injured for awhile. There's a ride channel YouTube interview with him from maybe 2 years ago that I think was the last coverage he got. I'm not sure if he was kept on $lave when they separated from zero. He was supposed to have a bigger part in the Dekline video, but either the injury prevented that or he just didn't come through. Apparently he's also pretty unstable and is on some sort of meds, but frequently goes off them and disappears. There are lots of stories about that and other crazy shit he did while living in the black box dorms.

He kind of peaked too early. His stuff on VAFleezers back in the day was incredible and he was undoubtedly one of the best ams going for a long long time. But that was before skating moved onto Instagram and online content, so it didn't really count for much.... And then since he gave his best years to being am, when they started trying to promote him it was sort of too late.

Those who knew him, knew what he was about, but if you missed his online content I could see why it was hard to market him. Of course everyone loves his radiotelevision part, but he never really followed it up. I also heard he has a problem with painkillers or something.

Falling backwards tuck your chin to chest so you won't hit your head. Try to roll when falling to decrease the impact, also never fall on to straight arms, that will break ur wrists. Falling forward try to roll on to your side/back as that has less risk of injury. If you can't do that, land on your hands and flex them untill your chest hits the ground. Idk you kind of learn these things after you fall alot and develope a relfex. But basically protect your head, and try to keep moving when falling since that sucks up some of the impact.
