I'm gay too, so I see this a lot in the gay community I guess. People feel really isolated because they're gay, so they immediately feel like they have a lot in common with anyone else who's gay. Gayness becomes their identity. I can see how being appreciated for some (generic) thing is better than not being appreciated at all, but you really should set your standards higher...

I say that cause apparently once your identity becomes too attached to something objectifying (like just identifying as gay, which just makes you a sexual object), you really don't have much of an identity, and you're interchangeable with anyone else signifying the same thing you do.

I was fortunate enough to never feel too alienated, and I feel like as a result I don't reduce myself to my sexuality. You do you I guess, but I feel like I've dodged a lot of the identity issues some of my friends face because I didn't whore myself out.

What a time to be alive

This is mostly for money though. I hate my job. I've been at my job for two years, and it pays well. I just will never probably get a better position than the one I'm in, and it only pays decent. It's also pretty much full time, and it absorbs all of my energy. I have been wanting to go to school as well and this would be impossible with my job. I want to just downgrade to some super easy part time job and camming.
