So realistically how long would it take to burn off about 20-25 pounds
Few Details
>I am 205 now
>The primary thing im doing to burn weight is riding my bike around the bike path each day for about an hour
> I want to hit about 180ish to see what I want from there
>I am taking some weekly boxing lessons also
> I am trying to keep my calories per day to 1.7k
How long would it take to get my goal?

i lost 30 pounds in 5 months with no excercise but that was through extreme fasting and unhealthy eating.
id recommend keto for an easier and safer experience.
you can find out more about keto on the /r/keto reddit

I looked into keto and im all set, I am just eating better all around instead of following a diet for a little while.

thats the best way to lose weight then.
diet is the second most important thing next to consistency. eat healthy and exercise occasionally and the weight will start coming off.
just don't give up, youre doing great so far from how it sounds

Havent started yet tho lol

youre riding your bike, thats a start. also i thought you said you were already eating a better diet?

I worded it wrong, I dont have my bike yet its what im gonna do very soon when I get one.
Cutting really what got me to the weight I wanted but cutting something really ends up being hard unless you can get set when u decide on something so it took me also 5 months to lose around 20 pounds my friend lost more but he went to the gym and had his own cook
So that helped
It can take longer though so always stay accountable a good way for me is to weigh myself even when I slipped when I don't I get easier for me to add half a pound at the moment I keep losing three punds and gaining them the next three weeks and then losing it etc but I like how I am soon I probably will start weight lifting to tighten things
Just wanted to share my experience
Drinking water when you are hungry even when you feel it is always better than grabbing something with calories also
Cutting carbs*

I read somewhere that bike riding isn't the best for overall weight loss. It's decent for cardio if you're going fast enough but lifting weights and climbing stairs will burn it faster
>>18244919
Really? I saw that bike is like the third best, a good hour bike ride at a decent rate and not a casual ride around can burn like 800 or so. And having a hard intense ride is like 1,2k burned.

Well it just said not the best, lifting burns fastest. A trainer told me once that stairs are better than bikes because they work multiple muscle groups in while biking tends to ignore the upper body

We have dedicated board for that

Reccomended speed is 1~2 pounds per week.
