Absolutely, not a problem.

Their bites aren't anything much to worry about, anyways. They can cause bacterial infections that if untreated CAN be bad, but so long as you clean and dress it, nothing to worry about.

They usually climb out from the drains. Spiders can hold their breath for VERY long periods of time. About half an hour while active, and 20 hours when they essentially shut down, and curl up.

Some species can survive MUCH longer than that, even. They trap air on their bodies since they're covered in hair, and can put themselves in a near death state to survive just about any condition.

Yeah given the state of that sink it isn't flawlessly smooth. Should be plenty of ridges for the little guy to get a toehold on.

You could always tip the balance and leave a ladder in there tho, a stick or somesuch would work.
