I'd post this on /an/, but they're super slow.

My roommate is moving out and is taking the dog with him. As he's in the process of moving out, she's seeing some of her favorite things go away, like her favorite couch, blankets, her bedroom is totally different...

She's been howling and crying since he left for work. She's very sad, and I feel bad. Anything I can do calm her down? She's still here for about another week.

Petting or playing with her might distract her a bit. Also keeping company by being in the same room or something usually calms dogs down; if you're calm they tend to chill out. Giving her something to chew might alleviate the stress.
