No, anybody is free to enter and help our group. Feel free to participate, just don't be a dick.
NEET IMPROVEMENT RULES
=======================================
1. Preventing your suicide is not our responsibility. If you need someone to talk you out of hurting yourself and/or others, please call a suicide hotline.
2. No doxxing or spamming. If you post any personal information of another user without their consent, you will be banned. Spamming will result in temporary loss of text privileges.
3. Please try to genuinely improve your lot in life. We're not here to circlejerk about how horrible our lives are. We'll all slip up or need to vent sometimes, but overall you should try to be positive and move upwards.
4.The #support channel is for advice only. Check #rules for a description of all other channels and rules.

I think I'm going to join the military. I'm really not that into war though.

What about coast guard or something else similar then?

I want to feel alive again

>get recruited for a job
>one of the requirements to working there is to get proof that i have a bank account
>don't have bank account
>try several times today to open one for myself
>get rejected because banks require a government letter with a mailing address that has my legal name
>all letters i have shortened my middle name to an initial
>show birth certificate to prove that my initial stands for the middle name i have
>still rejected because its not even mail
>mfw i am legally not able to work because of this
i-i'm here to be a neet forever, aren't i?

Look into other bank accounts with looser requirements or look into opening a joint account with a parent and then using a bank statement from your bank to change it into a solo bank account.
>>17747410
I'll try that as soon as possible. Thanks.
Hoping I'd have enough money to open that kind of account since our family is practically in poorfag territory

I have a buddy whose brother is an electrician for the Air Force (works on all the simulator machines) and he's considered military personnel.
Consider doing something similar?
>>17747364
That's not a normal requirement. I didn't have to show shit when I signed up. Go to another bank. Either that or get another job because that's also not a normal requirement.
Non-NEET here.
Why is the NEET picture a background of Seattle? Just curious because I'm a Seattlefag that lives in Seattle proper.
>>17747998
No real reason in particular. We needed some OP pictures and a few members volunteered to make them. That's one of the ones everyone liked so it's in the rotation.

They might only pay via direct deposit. It's how my job pays as well. Although I don't see why you'd need proof you have a bank account, my job just told me that if I didn't have one I needed to open a checking account to get paid.
I just got my teeth fixed.
I consider myself fully fledged non-NEET now.
how's it going?
>>17748241
Congratulations Anon! Make sure you take care of them.
Stressful, I have a lot to do in not a lot of time so I feel overwhelmed and anxious to the point I'm avoiding doing it.
>>17748272
Yeah, I'm on top of it now, it was an expensive process that I'm not at all interested in trying to repeat. But, still potential for a couple root canals if they don't like what they see at my next check up. :(
I stressed out the ass when I finally decided I needed to do something about it, working 60 hours a week and shit, but it helped pad my bank account with enough money to get me started on the journey.
It was about 6 hours under the drill, and an estimated (insurance is still doing their part) but I'll have to pay around 1500-1900 for the work they've done so far. But, I can smile and I look presentable.

>but I'll have to pay around 1500-1900 for the work they've done so far
Damn. How bad were they? I'm really scared about going to a dentist eventually for the same. I don't have any dental insurance of which to speak.
Good night Seattle~
