I just ran into this a few hours ago too.

Also, being smuggled in a box instead of using pirates led to a black screen and I had to reload.

And being made a sex slave led to a cell with a bed, food, and water. Could not use the bed though, even though HP was maxed, and had to reload. Might not be any content past this though, since the game isn't finished?

Not really. The concept is still fairly rough but the basic idea is that the girls in town are actual monsters that are bound into human form and don't know anything about their true selves in that form. They'd be very toned down versions of their monstrous selves. In their monstrous version they could get away with being fully horrifying. In their human form they're distilled versions of that true monstrous form. So femhead would be a girl that likes piercings and leather and BDSM. FemKreuger would be a snarky girl with some burn scars that likes sweaters and knives. FemJason would be an quiet amazon. They'll all be creepy as hell but can still be sexy at the same time.

There's others I'd like to do as well. At least one take on a Sadako type character, for instance. I've always had a soft spot for ghost girls.

Anyway I've got skilled artists that manage to make great designs. If I can make biblical style Cherubim into fuckable girls then horror monster girls are no big stretch. They're essentially the same thing.

Apparently he set up a hot fix to remove the tree, but decided not to bother putting it up and is just going to include it in the next update.

There IS a way to get to the town, but you need to go through the sex-slave fort and not give in to them in order to do it.

Battler is a term for the type of pic. It's used to refer to the monster in-battle pics in RPG Maker games. Character CG in games is essentially the same sort of pic, hence the artist calling them battlers. I'm never going to say so in game but I see them as secular Jews so the family name would probably be Jewish. I'd say they're in the Northeastern US. I picked names consistent with American names. Also Kira's name is Kira, not Kira-Ahe. That's just something Mindwipe added to the concept and Ahe means princess. I described her progression as going from a high class studious girl to a sort of Jewish American Princess.

That's my background. A lot of Reform and secular Jews have boring names like Brown and Rosen.

If you'll notice there are no dates and everything is kept pretty vague technologywise. But yes, that look is dated, largely on purpose. I needed something visually dramatic to show her transformation and wanted an alternative to bimboification, her rough original concept that has since been changed. I'd be happy to hear proposed alternative costumes, though. I haven't made it to the point where any of the later day costumes are set in stone yet.

The psychological reason that people throw money at BS and S-Purple's new project is a two fold process equal to someone in an abused relationship. (I'm not praising them for this, of course.)

1) With Breeding Season, the project did, AFAIK, have a successful start and was actually going places right at the beginning. 2) Here's where the really shitty stuff comes in. Psychologically, many, many people in a relationship that is originally very positive, will stay in said relationship even if the partner becomes heavily abusive, so long as they're a kind person once in a great while. This is essentially what Breeding Season did; after a strong start, they quickly stagnated, and only threw out updates once in a great while, which conditioned the people pledging to it to accept/believe two things; that this setback (abusive behavior) was only temporary, that they would get back to releasing content frequently (the good times) again, and that if they stuck it out, commitment = positive results which is another psychological fallacy (close to the gambling fallacy of "I've lost a bunch of times, I must be due for some wins!").

This is a tactic both used consciously and unconsciously by a lot of people; you can see it used in businesses where extremely skilled employees intentionally underperform so they're right at the baseline level of what's needed for the job, so that that level of work is all that's ever expected of them. You'd be surprised; the first four demos for Future Fragments didn't get pirated until long, long after they'd been released. No one's pirated the editor yet either, to my knowledge.

As for paying for stuff, instead of paying specifically for the porn or as a tip jar, a lot of people are pledging to get extras that can't be really pirated; Future Fragments has a tier where you can get a character of yours written into the databanks in the game (basically universe building stuff, think of them as text-based NPCs).
There's also tiers for getting the level editor for the game, and Reclaim Reality has a soundtrack tier for the game (as it'll have 40+ unique tracks), so on.

That said, I'm really positive that stuff will be pirated EVENTUALLY, of course, but there's a big difference between a few people getting the demo on a few forums, and countless people getting the demo if I release it publicly. The reason why I wouldn't want countless people getting the Patron-only demos is because these are generally "rough" demos, in progress, with each "public demo" representing near-completion of a single given level, so the public demos are more representative of the final product, with the rough/Patron-only demos basically being a work in progress that can be altered before the public demo.

(Having monthly demos come out to the public too tends to clusterfuck things; by the time this game's done, there would be something like 24+ demos floating around with all different versions if I made them all public, which would be an absolute mess to find links for the most updated version.)

I actually contacted the developer about this very issue last night (I didn't want to give monetary support to a project with forced NTR shit), and even got a response...Quite promptly.

Apparently, he's aware that the NTR is a hot button issue for people, and the game will feature a "Do you like NTR?" question at the start of the game, and if you select "No", then the NTR content will be blocked out. The only reason the question doesn't exist yet is because the game doesn't actually have any NTR content.
He went on to say that all content you don't like in the game will be avoidable.
Which seems to hold true, given today's update, in which the prologue was finished, and at the end (After agreeing to serve the demon twins as their champion), the brother wants you to prove your loyalty by "Servicing" one of them, and you can either choose to get dominated by the sister, dominated by the brother, or you can nut up and tell them both to piss off and the sister just gives you a "Very well, we won't force you to do anything (sexual). Mindwipe did a picture of the Overmind fucking Vriska from Homestuck. I got a kick out of the fact that his fans wanted to see it on his Patreon.

It's not mine to share so I won't put that one up here, but it gives me a giggle to think about.

Oh, and crossovers with other games are totally cool with me, so if anyone here does fanart that's a crossover with Hentaiwriter's stuff or whoever that's cool too.

I was in the same boat. It's fucking piss easy, scripting included. In fact, you can straight up just download certain scripts that have already been made. For example, if you want final fantasy style combat with the characters on the right instead of the POV monster combat that it defaults to, you can do that.

The basics are easy, the more in-depth stuff gets progressively harder until you're learning a programming language. The hardest aspect, however, is just sticking with your project.

Most people that make a game start with something too ambitious and then fail to finish them because they CANNOT be finished. Ever. They're too ambitious.

Start with something dead simple. I'm talking, "Knight with no backstory rescues princess from dragon" tier. One simple dungeon, one simple town, one character and one boss. You bang the princess at the end. Most games are that format just repeated, minus the princess banging. String a few of those together and you've got a game. A shitty, basic game, but that's your starting point. Get there before you try to make a full game.
