Like I said, poses are invented when they are given purpose. Let's take the Praise the Sun gesture from the Dark Souls series. I'm sure people had struck that pose before, but it had no meaning. When Dark Souls gave it a purpose (to praise the sun), that was their invention, and they can say that they invented that pose.

See the thing is for me, and Im sure a lot of other people, we plan our pictures around the artists prices. We typically know how much we want or have to spend before we even send the first email.

If I see an artist who lists their prices at say, 20 bucks for the first character and 10 for every plus character I can work out how many characters I want, scene composition etc a lot easier. We plan our commissions to that end. We don't to plan out a whole big thing then have the artist come back and tell us it's going to be a WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAAY over our price change.

Since we're talking about artwork here, let me use it as the example.

If I want something done, I want to know how much it costs so I can plan accordingly. If the sheet doesn't have a price tag, I would have to go and send an email, then wait for a response from the artist, then go on a back and forth until we can work out the details and then finally get a quote that might end up not being close to my budget.

Alternatively the artist could have a ballpark figure in their sheet and avoid all that fucking rubbish.
