That was exactly my thinking last thread. I guess even $10 for a decent pic isn't awful, but if you have no control over style, content, or even artist why bother?

Especially if it becomes more successful, wait times increase, variance in artists increase, access almost inevitably quality decreases due to higher workload. Why not take several months you would have given to this and just commission something directly.

Of course, Patreon is, in theory, for people who want to support the project over time. Still, though.

That being said, my favorite couple is fucking weird and spending a few bucks to get it drawn would be fun.

I would love to pay full price and get the art from the sexyverse artists even if the wait is long.

Those are completely random. This is a list and suggestions are done based on how many that person has had completed before. That way everyone gets an equal amount of stuff done in a timely manner. It also removes the hassle of having to hound people for what they want.

I used to do raffles, not everybody provides an answer and that bogs things down.

In regards to sameface, not as likely since I have a rotating cast of artists, the sheet I posted has two different artists. Aya and Kirael do comic work for me as well and AmonZone will be providing art as well. He's the artist for the Teen Titans game we're working on.

Well the way I'd do my "raffles" is that higher paying patrons have more chances at getting their free suggestion selected.

Step 1 is to have suggestions submitted to me via patreon. Higher tiers get theirs counted for multiple tickets.

Step 2 is the raffle drawing. 5-10 suggestions will be drawn depending on the pool.

Step 3 will be a vote to see which ones I draw.

Yeah it does seem like even less chance, but I'd likely use a strawpoll with multiple votes on to have people give a good consensus.

After a set time I go to work and have it done by time of the next raffling.

I'm thinking of having higher paying tiers count as "discounts" for commissions (in limited supply). Like 20-30% off of art commissions from me. This is for those who either would commission me often, or like to buy large commissions. Like orgies.

Again, I'm not 100% sure on how I'd go about a patreon without feeling like I'm scamming people or simply begging for money.

I'm actually not surprised. My comics are popular among patrons. I even asked a couple times if they wanted me to focus on different comics more and they mostly voted to keep it the same. I even offered a DC/Marvel porn comic.

I want to ask for something very specific that I don't know which artists are willing to take.
I'm up to spending up to $500 for a few pieces of artwork or even a comic that involves size play, macroproportions and overall expansion/inflation and shrinking. But the anatomy and sense of perespective has to be accurate and consistent to keep the feel to it.

The left side is for a thick outline style, which is simpler and more experimental than the thinner outline option. It also has different proportions than my usual style.
The $12 option would yield a waist or full body of a character in flat color. It is cheaper since this style takes less time.

It depends on the client (and the artist). I've done full-body, colored and shaded pics of single characters in about a week.

However, it took me around a month to finish a drawing of 4 full-bodied, colored/shaded characters with a fully colored, relatively detailed background.

I'm good at keeping clients updated every few days and showing them progress shots, so no one has ever given me shit and they generally want me to take my time so that the end product doesn't look rushed. Plus, I think a lot of people realize that most artists aren't living on commissions alone and may not be able to work on art all day, every day.

I like to give artists time and will only ever bother them its been a good while without hearing anything from them like say a month or so.

I feel like as long as communication is good and the artist can update on progress at least once a week, I don't care if it takes a while.
But if you are going to take time, communication is important.
