I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with a quick Ren'Py coding question.
So right now, I'm trying to make a simple flag that changes dialogue based on whether an event has occurred or not. However, when it comes time to check the flag the game keeps crashing, telling me the variable is not defined.
I start out the game setting default variable settings like so:

default conclude_q1_done = "False"

And here would be where I have the flag check occur. In this example, clicking on a hotspot on the image map should give a different response depending on whether an event has occurred.

-Position of power like the priest or the finance minister have functionality, helping you in corrupting your city or increasing the gold revenue. For now, the church doesn’t reduce corruption, but that will be changed soon.

-Fixed a lot of bugs!

It seems like little, but what we added to this update is mostly content more than functionality.

What’s next? We will focus on finishing Misaki and we will work on an hypnotist gecko girl and Junia, which will be the first futa follower (Don’t worry tho, you will be able to enjoy normal content with her if you disable the futa portion!).

There was a bit of text reliant on the level of corruption of Helena after pressing the button and passing of it/it getting vetoed before iirc.
Now I click the button and nothing happens.

And it turns out I'm a moron and all my coding has been working properly all along. Turns out the save state I was using to test things was created before I added the variable, so the save state wasn't "seeing" it. Played the game from the beginning to that part and now it is working fine with a new save state.

I don't know if I should stack moods or give bonuses for each 100% then reset which leads into specific rolling bonuses and different mood dialogue with each 100% tier hit

I think you just keep playing until it unlocks for you. You can tell if you control it by clicking LexCorp on the map. If you go straight to Luthor's lair, you don't control LexCorp. If you get two buttons that say "Office" and "Labs" you do control it.
