Look, I'm not going to rag on the guy who commissioned it. He presumably saw the artist's work beforehand, so he knew that he'd get something like this, and he still commissioned it, so I presume that, one way or another, he got what he wanted and that's okay. Not like I haven't gotten commissions from subpar artists that I'm really fond of.

But don't you fucking dare to pass this off as a matter of a unique style. SLB has a unique style; this is amateur art that can be done better. I mean, fuck, look at that tongue on Jane. Look at how Jane's tits (and I do actually like the huge areolas, btw) connect to her torso irregularly. Look at how the artist is trying to use Jane's arm to hide that fucking 100 degree angle in her back. Look at the fact that Jane's other arm is huge and blocky at the shoulder where her other arm isn't. Look at the 'do whatever the fuck you want' shading that assumes that light is coming from, like, three different exclusive angles. And that's just the stuff that can't, as you claim, be passed off as style

I'm not arguing that the pic is "perfect", I'm arguing that it serves it's purpose as a drawing well enough. For fuck's sake, I'm not even that invested in this. Hell, if I found this in the middle of a fap session, I'd probably be able to ignore the weird body things. I'm not an artist, but I am a musician and I do know a shitton of visual artists, and we generally perform or publish a lot of stuff despite feeling that it's not what we wanted or it's not our best. And people being willing to accept our imperfect work is generally something we appreciate. So I don't think that you or the artist are inherently bad for liking this and drawing this, respectively. I just feel like the artist himself would probably agree with me on at least some of the shit I pointed out.

So yeah, I'll admit I was a bit harsh (I was not having a good morning today), but I stand by what I said. And if you show the artist you commissioned what I said, they'd probably agree with me. And for what it's worth, I do like some of it. Jane's face is pretty good, the hair's alright on both of them, and like I said before, I like the big areolas.
