Here are my shitty thoughts no one needs to agree but hopefully some will.
1. OP's pic is shit and reeks of /v/

While generals tend to be shit and something to look down upon, they aren't shit by definition, for example just to mention something that isn't that old, kemono friends threads were nice and had good discussion quality yet after a while they have turned to just image bumps with the casual shitposting, mods should look for that turning point and tell the people to call down.
3. Making non template threads won't mean a higher quality of discussion, shitposters will shitpost and it's the mods job to properly ban the shitposters and not the threads in itself, but you know how lazy a mod can be.
4. targeting template threads is also stupid since the quality of a thread shouldn't just be judged by it's OP unless it's really shitty.
5. Giving a pass to a number of generals but not the panda is ridiculous since the panda threads have good arguments to stay on /a/.
6. There should be a way to detect thread necromancy, just let the poor thread die for God's sake unless you are waiting for /a/non's delivery or something similar
