If the mods could stop deleting the threads that be nice
I can’t wait for Ozen first lesson, hope the anime delivers
Nanachi deserves to suffer for her crimes
>It's just shitty paneling, m8.
So called "shitty paneling" is clearly showing an example of a creature with the abilities to dodge projectile weapons at point blank range even when immobilized.
>It didn't 'dodge a laser', that's not a thing that happens.
That is exactly what happened.
At the moment of firing, as shown in the next panel, it dodged with enough speed to completely clear the laser with a wide attack radius. Yes, the needles on it's back got destroyed, but it still manage to protect it's vitals from being seriously damaged. Instinct or no instinct, it's still indicative of its ability to dodge fast moving projectiles, even at point blank.
Last thread was awful because of those very things though. I mean by the end you literally had a man argue that an evasive target gets easier to hit the further away it is for you because "Smaller angular adjustments" as if humans are actually aimbots. It was bad.
i swear to me mum if they dont make sayaka ohara cackle ominously at some point im going to sacrifice a sheep to god
We had an interesting topic going regarding what we think about Tsukushi re-tweeting and buying porn of his own characters. I'll pick it up again:
It's fine, it's his decision. However, I think it's a bit of a shame.
Even in Japan, there's a clear line between authors who associate themselves and their professional careers with porn, and those who don't. Although it's normal and almost everyone watch porn from time to time, explicit sexuality is considered very private in modern society. Especially if it involves fetishes such as Tsukushi's pedolust, which people react very negatively to if they don't share them.
Porn by nature is very carnal, usually setting aside all established rules regarding good storytelling and in-universe integrity to please the viewer. Setting aside integrity to please the viewer is more generally known as "fan service", a term I guess everyone here are familiar with. Even though it seems people have more tolerance for service in Japan, porn is often taking it too far outside of small, niche fan bases.
For whatever reason, working with and around porn therefore permanently "marks" your professional career. Murata, who draws the manga adaption of One Punch Man, is horny as hell when he draws and mentioned in one of his live streams that he would like to try drawing porn professionally. However, he also lamented that it would lead his career down a "one-way road".
I think Made in Abyss is good to the point where it deserves and could attract a lot more readers, but Tsukushi's open pedolust won't let that happen. I know a lot of people who I'd love to reccomend MiA to, people who by no means are normalfags, but still would be scared off. I think MiA would be just as good without Tsukushi stroking his dick all over it. Hell, he could even keep most of the nudity and sexual curiosity if he just changed the tone and presentation of it a bit. More readers = the manga will stay alive longer, get better and higher-budget anime adaptions etc.
I've been here for 11 years and strayed far from the light of god anon. I don't see that changing anytime soon. However, I still like to keep what I fap to and what I read/watch for enjoyment separate, since those things are so different by nature and don't intermingle well.
Why? Because you would genuinely enjoy it more that way, or because REEEEE NORMALFAGS GET OFF MY LAWN?
Name one, name one crime committed for nanachi that can be acquit due to selfdesenfe or preservation.
Leave the bunny alone.
>Even in Japan, there's a clear line between authors who associate themselves and their professional careers with porn, and those who don't.
Except that's bullshit, they form the same professional and social groups regardless of how they associate themselves with hentai manga, there isn't seen as being much of a difference between even the upper echelons of popular manga and the h-manga magazines. It's certainly clear when something as beloved as Keroro Gunsou was written by a prolific hentai doujin mangaka.
Could SHIKI kill the abyss? By Abyss I mean the curse, layers and the living "force" within it
How do these animals survive in such a hostile environment?
Just like rats. Only a few weeks from birth to sexual maturity, only a few weeks gestation period, and a dozen pieces of offspring every time, which all reach sexual maturity soon and so on. They live underground, travel everywhere through their underground burrow network, only run out at night, to grab food they couldn't dig to. There are always losses, but as long as food is accessible, they are replaced in no time. These creatures are extremely resilient. I bet the first wild animals to follow humans into space and survive there will be rats. Lions and sharks a shit, rats are the true survivors.
>Except that's bullshit, they form the same professional and social groups regardless of how they associate themselves with hentai manga, there isn't seen as being much of a difference between even the upper echelons of popular manga and the h-manga magazines.
Sure, but I was talking about how they're seen by their readers, and how the content they produce is received. Hence why I referred to Murata's comment about "leading your career down a one-way road". Sure, hentai mangaka might be famous, successful, and enjoy a high professional status. But if they suddenly have a change of heart and try their hands at something non-pornographic, they will have a much harder time getting taken seriously by the readers, and signing up with publishers.
>It's certainly clear when something as beloved as Keroro Gunsou was written by a prolific hentai doujin mangaka.
The world is not black and white, and obviously there will be edge cases like these. However, Mine Yoshizaki never really did hardcore stuff, it was ecchi with full-frontal nudity at most. Those were doujins made way back in the 90's before the internet became popular, and Yoshizaki hasn't, to my knowledge, continued making them after Keroro Gunsou became a hit in 1999. You don't see him re-tweeting porn of his characters these days, that's for sure.
It's hte only thing actually uploaded, nigger. What I want is this.
Say what you want about furries, at least they know how to share.
Not even a furry, but nanachi is making me step up to 2 of this scale.
Reminder that Tsukushi often changes bodysuits due to damage caused by obaasans trying to coax him out
With all this talk about Tsukushi being a 40-something, semi-autistic pedo who still has his mother buy clothes clothes for him, I'm more and more impressed by the fact that he's even managed to author a decent manga. How does a person like this even come up with interesting, somewhat believable characters and stories? Also, I can dig the loli nipples and shota BDSM and everything, but when I know that a face like this drew it, probably with the mouth half-open and a raging erection, it makes me uncomfortable for some reason.
Somebody spoil everything up to the current issue for me.
Wow. I'v never actually read an anime book before but I might actually do it because of this response.
If Regu is getting boners doesnt that mean he has to eventually relieve himself? There is no way anyone at trying that age can show self restraint.
is he having wet dreams?
Most talented people are weirdos. You think your boring normalfag coworkers are the ones who will ever write a good book?
The stereotype of eccentric artist/genius exists for a reason, it's mostly true.
>tsukushi awakening carnal desires within me
does that mean I will eventually write something as good someday?
youve ruined me anon, now I have to comfort myself on the thought that one day I will
BITE JIRUOS DELICIOUS PINK NIPPLES!
I think your crazy, even Hidamari and Yotsuba author's do lewd and h doujinshi, it's just how it is in this industry
Next time try to hold your autism in plz. I got cancer last thread.
>Not everyone can be Tolkien
Tolkien remains unrivaled to this day when it comes to crafting fictional universes, including people, languages, religions, history and so on. However, Tolkien's weakest point was that he never understood people well and wrote crappy characters, something which led to mixed reviews at first in the 50's. This point is probably what Peter Jackson improved the most with his movies, making the characters more human.
>I would say MiA is a bit more than just "decent".
It's the best one I've read in years, which just makes it all the more fascinating.
>Are weirdos not allowed to be brilliant?
They are, many brilliant people are weirdos.
>These are some human-ass characters.
>They are human in mannerisms and all have an ass.
Fair, I guess. Except for Riko, she's got a Hank Hill ass.
>Most talented people are weirdos. You think your boring normalfag coworkers are the ones who will ever write a good book?
>The stereotype of eccentric artist/genius exists for a reason, it's mostly true.
I'm inclined to agree, but still, those kind of weirdos are often very independent. I just can't imagine an autistic person like Tsukushi understanding normal human behavior and interactions that well after spending all his life getting taken care of by his mother. MiA is his first published manga that I'm aware of, he's certainly a late bloomer. Perhaps he spent an entire lifetime preparing by drawing (he's a damn good artist too) and reading stuff at his mother's home while fapping to shotas, until he reached a point where he could successfully replicate it?
>this is how spooky ozen will look
I'm worried, anons. It has so much less impact.
>Tolkien remains unrivaled to this day when it comes to crafting fictional universes, including people, languages, religions, history and so on.
How about you try readin' a book there sometime, bud.
>I just can't imagine an autistic person like Tsukushi understanding normal human behavior and interactions that well after spending all his life getting taken care of by his mother.
I wouldn't take his twitter shitposting so literally, he's obviously having some fun with the "I am 12" schtick. We're still talking about a guy who has enough friends in high places to have his shota x loli manga animated, who's worked with a vidya team, and all. He's not exactly Van Gogh either drawing in his crummy house unloved and alone.
>Tolkien remains unrivaled to this day when it comes to crafting fictional universes, including people, languages, religions, history and so on.
Clearly, you have not read the works of Theo Geisel.
The worst part is they forgot to black out the nose. It really detracts from the spooky skull look.
Yeah they did. Hopefully they'll make it up with good animation.
I really like Tsukushi but that was a good one.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT POLLS COMING THROUGH
I think perhaps the very nature of having difficulty in interacting and socializing with human helps him write fictional character. The author probably struggles with human interaction, but learns to do it. He actually has to study human's interaction, feeling, and thinking to apply it in his life. Therefore, he has some deeper knowledge regarding it and the nuissance behind it. A person who socializes naturally cannot put it onto paper in a creative fictional work. A normal social person can't "create" characters and " build" unique social interaction and action because they only ever use their own natural social skill that only apply to themself. Hence, many authors take a bit of shortcut and make the main character their self insert because they don't truly understand other people other than themselves. A social person can be told to sit down and write a natural dialogue between two different unique character and they will make it completely awkward.
I think the real problem is that, in the manga, the entire art style of the panel changes for ozenface - the way her hair is drawn, the style of shading, etc. The anime seems to have just taken her regular face and added some splotches over the eyes and mouth.
They better animate the hell out of the fight.
I wonder how it'll look. The closest I can think of is these things.
tsukushi is liking things on twitter at a rate of 1,000 a week
>Now you've done it.
>There's basically no character that he didn't fuck over. Most of all Denethor
I felt like many characters in the books spoke and acted like what we'd call LARPers these days (reduced to a few simple personality traits, always overly polite and solemn), and I stand by my opinion that Jackson made them more human.
>How about you try readin' a book there sometime, bud.
I haven't read that much fiction in recent years, any personal favorites?
>Maybe other artists should take note and stop making shitty isekai manga.
I think it's important to get started early in life and at least try and release stuff, otherwise you won't improve. Most successful people have been diligent since an early age, Tsukushi is more like a freak case.
Yeah, maybe it's just shitposting and he's taking us for a ride.
>Clearly, you have not read the works of Theo Geisel.
Surprisingly, I was never exposed to Dr. Seuss as a child, so I know next to nothing about his stories.
>I think perhaps the very nature of having difficulty in interacting and socializing with human helps him write fictional character.
Reasonable. I don't think he's *actually* autistic, because people who are autistic for real have great hardships even understanding basic facial expressions and nuances in everyday interactions. But you could be socially awkward yourself, while still understanding people to the point where you can sit down and write characters in peace and quiet.
Is this why the next chapter isn't out yet??? Or is he too busy jacking off playing Splatoon?
How else is he supposed to power his ojiisan bodysuit anon?
if he can play splatoon one handed he deserves to play
Lord of the rings was written in a style that mimicked old epics like Beowulf. There are few lines which directly describe Beowulf we a character in the poem but plenty of circumstantial things that implied his character. Tolkien went that route and didn't directly describe the characters, he let their actions do that
one of these is best girl, the other is a smelly rat
>Can't go wrong with some catch-22 and hitchhiker guide.
Read the entire Hitchhiker's series twice, love it. I'll take a look at Catch-22, thanks anon.
>Lord of the rings was written in a style that mimicked old epics like Beowulf.
Even if that was all the rave thousands of years ago in epic poems, I don't think it fits that well in the kind of modern literature Tolkien himself was writing.
Anyway, this is getting off topic towards >>>/lit/.
The anime did a pretty good job of toning down the nudity. Rather than take it out they just drew it very non-sexually. I wouldn't be uncomfortable showing it to a normalfag. The manga is something else entirely though. Some of the pages look like they're straight out of a fucked up h-comic. Remember that scene where Reg is strapped to the chair? You know the one.
Ah, he's the guy who did that. Fuck I need that in my life.
this author sells their shit digitally, so I figure it's only a matter of time. Could be months though, since it's new.
reg: dame kudasai kono tachi fuckin turkey ass lookin ho
moth: chinchin sosu gib, words words words sosu, sosu
don't you know the subject is black and white?
scroll up you daft cunt
ending on flashback ? Nice, hope they do justice to Lyza's face.
Does anybody have any examples of anime that do a good replication of Ozens face in the manga? Or something like that?
I mean I saw the previous picture of Ozens spooky face, and I too am disappointed, however I then attempt to remember if I've ever seen such a stylized face like Ozens manga face done in an anime form, and nothing comes to mind. I wonder if its even possible?
>no preview images
This shit should be fucking ILLEGAL
What do Nanachi's legs look like? Is she still rocking plantigrade feet, or did they devolve into digitigrade? It's hard to tell with the puffy pants, and I can't recall any point where she didn't have puffy pants as her bunny form.
she runs on all four legs when she want to go sanic speed, so maybe digitigrade?
yes, and also it's from 2 years ago. And not uploaded to his booth. All hope is lost.
Someone ask him to sell it. It's probably one of those 5 page books that he didn't think was worth selling.
What this anon said, no entirely sure if we have seen a clear picture of Nanachi naked legs, but since she runs in all four, is likely she has digitigrade legs or at least to a certain degree of it like in this pic >>161257436
Don't lewd the Mark!
I will marry Riko!
Look at this moth.
Reminder, the bunny smells good!
Ozen, the immovable nugget.
This is you. This is your life. The sum of your existence is the loathing you receive from your peers. Silent loathing, mostly, but loathing all the same.
tfw Reg is actually Riko's father
>gets a boner from his daughter's tits
would you believe me if I said I meant to post this? I hate /pol/man
It's a short fucking beatdown, hardly a fight. You guys always hype yourselves up to much
I hope they extend Reg getting his ass kicked. Like bone crunching, tiara bouncing off the wooden floor, little boy screaming sounds.
Extra scenes of Reg getting slammed all over the place.
So anon if this was the game that so many anons wanted what would you do once you got to the 5th layer?
>Attempt to kill Bondrewd in hopes of taking over Idofront
>Join in his pursuit of science and solving the mysteries of the abyss but there's a possibility that bonepapa will turn your character into a praying hand
>Proceed to the 6th layer with no incident after completing a few task for papa
I don't really care about the fight to be honest, I just hope they do justice to Ozen's armored design and Lyza's reveal.
Lyza femdom with her shota husband when
Is anyone planning to scan this? I would like to know so I can not waste the money
it's not something I would keep. It would have to be destroyed after scanning, lest it should be found and reveal my debauchery to all. A fate worse than death.
Give it a week or so anon, if no nips or anons scan it then go for it.
You'll be drowning in (You)s as a multitude of anons spurt their yogurt over the very images you scanned.
im already jelous of all the love juice anon would give you
but what if it sells out my nigga? What if?
>I think it's a bit of a shame.
No it's not, fuck off
I haven't been in any threads since the anime started. How terrible are they now?
She either has feelings for her, or what I think is more likely, is that she wasn't invited to the wedding and fears that now that she's married she has lost her delving partner.
If it was last thread maybe
anyways since I've been in
every single MiA threadI'd say the worse threads were
horse fucking/childhood gay shit
episodes 4/5 fallout confirming no Bones
everything else has been tame in comparison, even last thread with the logistics autism shit and special mention to the thread that devolved into powerlevel shitflinging
>tfw you will never own one because you never went to some random jap concert
Do you guys think that Lyza may have gotten affected by the curse of the 5th layer like Prushka had? Her hair is curly to the point where it's honestly a little weird, even her hairline is curled.
>maruruk has to hang because his bitch ass friends couldn't hold their own
>neither reg nor riko offer to take his place
How is that shit fucking fair? Some friends they are.
Lyza is her only friend, or so Ozen thinks.
While Kyza only pretended she cared about her to get taught by Ozen.
Lyza getting married means they would spend less time together and that Ozen will be secindary to Lyza after her family now.
Not really sure how that all works desu, but Lyza had curly hair as a Black Whistle before she went down to the 4th layer.
We've seen 3 characters directly suffer the 5th layers curse (Riko, Nanachi and Prushka), and can extrapolate that at least 2 more have suffered it as well (Ozen and Lyza), but Prushka's the only one with weird hair that might be tied to the curse.
>holy shit a new chapter
>oh wait they just arbitrarily rearranged the chapter layout on the site which made it look like the page was updated
next time my heart skips a beat I hope I just die
>but Prushka's the only one with weird hair that might be tied to the curse.
The orphanage's Principal has curls thatalso seem to be cursed.
It looks like the curse is making the hair whiten and curl in some real weird ways.
Isn't the the anime actually boosting the manga sales though? I thought I read in another thread that volume 6 sold more units than the others upon its release.
In any case, even if worst case scenario the anime doesn't even raise manga sales, Seven Seas licensed it for release over here in the US. That's already enough for me.
The thing is Ozen's hairstyle, which is similar to the Principal's, isn't primarily due to the Abyss directly affecting her hair; she states her hair is like that to hide "her scars" from "twisting the skin off your head".
Some other interesting things are that while Ozen's hair and the Principal's hair are black and white, Prushka's is white and green, and Nanachi's is pure white.
If the 5th layer's curse does turn your hair white though, it makes it more obvious that Lyza's hair is just naturally that crazy since her hair is still a solid blonde.
The anime coming out should at least coincide with the manga getting a more regular scheduled release. It's been 1.5 months already. I was hoping Tsukushi had a bunch of pages saved up waiting for the anime before publishing them. Guess not.
Her hair is obviously cursed, see white patches and weird turns.
She probably got out of abyss with messt up bleeding head and white hair that grows sideways and figured out how to make some cool wings/horns out of her new screwd up hair.
Even reg was curious "how the fuck does this hairstyle even work" well probably it's only possible with abyssal hair.
>bun dosent need to be there
>shes not an intergal part of the story now that she did what she needed to do
>shes just with the team cause she wants to
she will die
she is the best character to kill off
1 not everywhere
2 not all ivory
3 russkies are selling fuckloads of mammoth tusks they unbury from siberian permafrost that are technically legal ivory
4 fuck the police anyways
Like I said, it's possible.
There are a lot of inconsistencies if we compare those who have suffered the 5th layer's curse though, so I can't say its a sure thing.
>Riko got cursed = hair is the same (situation is unusual since resurrected corpse).
>Prushka got cursed = hair got "twirly" but unknown if color changed at all.
>Nanachi's presumably suffered the 5th's curse at least twice, once leaving the Idofront and once when Reg saved her. Her hair is white now but isn't curly at all, no idea what color it was before, and her situation is unusual because she's blessed.
>Ozen got cursed = has crazy hair that she says she styles that way, unsure of hair color prior to being cursed, situation is unusual because she's so old and has presumably spent more time in the Abyss than anyone.
>Principal = unknown if cursed, similar colors to Ozen, similar hair features to Ozen
>Lyza got cursed = hair is curly and blonde still
The day bun dies is the day these threads become uninhabitable
I can honestly see him killing her off, but probably not until near the end of the series.
why do they not just wear one of these so they never die from animals
Because most of those animals are gigantic and those spikes would be almost impossible for them to even feel, and for the ones that aren't gigantic or at least less so, they usually have extreme strength and/or poison that would destroy the suit easily.
what about a spike suit rellic
It is gonna sell out pretty fast. They were out of reservations in half a day. Don't think they accounted for the spike of popularity enough, on the other hand it's more likely somebody actually going to scan it. But with limited copies you better be safe than sorry if you can get it yourself.
i think it's more about obsession/connection with abyss.
>Riko is unnatural since she's basically dead.
>Lyza only care about the bottom.
>Prushka also want to go beyond fifth layer and 'witnessing the dawn'.
>Principal is artifact hoarder.
>Bondrude obsessed with abyss to the point it twisted his eyes.
>Ozen doesn't give a fuck and shape her own hair.
But we know they reach the flashback in the preview images, presumably the whole thing, too, considering one of the shots is Lyza with the black Whistle, I kind of doubt they'd just leave it half way through.
Next ep in a few hours.
> Will we ever see Maruruk again?
We see him in some of the side chapters, but he won't show up in the anime again, and I doubt at this point that he'll meet up with the main group anyway.
>Even in Japan, there's a clear line between authors who associate themselves and their professional careers with porn,
>D gray man author talks about yaoi
>Soma author does porn
>Ajin author did nothiing but hentai before he started.
Its good to see they are doing Quasimodo Ozen
That looks weird. Maybe it looks better in motion, but the hunchback shit doesn't really work with that angle. It'd look a lot better if they make you look up to her from below
If she hunches over like "?" So you could see her back over her head you certainly wouldnt see her torso under her head.
Its like she grows a massive tumor on her back, rather than bending over
>Murata, who draws the manga adaption of One Punch Man, is horny as hell when he draws and mentioned in one of his live streams that he would like to try drawing porn professionally. However, he also lamented that it would lead his career down a "one-way road".
is there any recording of this somewhere?
>Sensei have you ever read any OPM doujin?
>For me, after I start reading it for a short while, I'm going to be like, no, this isn't right, Fubuki and Tasumaki should've act in this way....No, no this is wrong...and I'll be starting to feel the urge to draw it myself...I have to stop reading I have to stop reading....Hmmm....As for Hentai, if given the chance, I'd like to try it, but I'm not going to draw OPM hentai...OPM with H story...right. I often draw Fubuki and Tastumaki in an arousing way, but there is still a limit to it you know. Drawing H is a one way street, there is no turning back, if I really did it, then I guess it would become the only thing I can draw afterwards. I know for now this type of story line and topics seems to be somewhat successful (T: guess he's referring to Shokugeki no Soma), but in the long run it will be difficult to write a story with a serious plot, since the readers will keep asking for fan service, right? Hahaha. Well I'd still love to try drawing using different art style.
For those of you skimming through the thread:
>As for Hentai, if given the chance, I'd like to try it
>Drawing H is a one way street, there is no turning back, if I really did it, then I guess it would become the only thing I can draw afterwards.
>Did Pedoman not oversee this at all?
but is just like hte manga
There's a few panels where her hunchback looks pretty much like a huge tumor on her back in the manga too. So far they've done an excellent job when it comes to the visuals and movement, I'll keep an open mind until I actually see the episode. A single still frame is hardly enough to base it on
I dunno, she seems kinda hunched. But it's really hard to tell because she's all dark. But of course, the anime can't be all dark so she has to be coloured, which takes away from her mysteriousness/spookiness.
>but is just like hte manga
She's legit bent over in the manga.
The lenght and position of her wrist show that her shoulder is above her head, the "hunch" you see here is actually her ass.
I hope my boy Mark looks cute in this new episode!
So predictions for today ep
start by finishing up the box talk till "You are pretty immature Ozen
Then Chapter 15 when Habo talks about the WW and continue to the fight all the way up to "You 2 are unfit for it"
Then Chapter 16 up to "Ill deliver em to you"
>I want to steal a few of Ozen's thousand-men mins and stick it into my dick
good luck, pic related
where can I download the manga? there are only raws on nyaa
So her legs are this long you utter fucking retard?
Seven Seas is now the get to go publisher for "how does this even got licensed"
>how to build a dungeon
> To-love Ru / Darkness
> Love in Hell
> Yokai Girls
> Cutie Honey a Go Go!
> Dance in the Vampire Bund
> Don’t Meddle With My Daughter
> Magika Swordsman and Summoner
> Monster Musume
She's a fucjing giant, yes her legs are long.
She's about 8 feet tall.
A bus is about 10 feet tall
>same thing we do every night, Riko...
>I've been there, but they don't seem to have it
Batoto sometimes require you to have an account to view older chapters, keep that in mind.
>Who the fuck use batoto after the purges and other nonsense?
A lot of people, myself included. Batoto is held in high regard by scanlators, since they let the groups upload themselves, instead of "stealing" scanlations for ad revenue like many other sites. Nothing fun about purges, but it helps them stay away from trouble with the law.
I tend to respond to most replies (not every single one though), but I have never participated nor do I have any plans to participate "post your favs" threads. Most anons don't expect you to question why they just went "hurf durf ur A FAGET", and their defenses can be quite entertaining. Perhaps you learn a bit about their opinions in the process. We're here to discuss things, not just scream our bitter beliefs at each other, right?
One of the things I've waited for specifically since the anime was announced, and I have to wait until work is over to watch it.
>Made in Abyss game by From never
Anyone got the soundtrack yet?
Not if they give you Tark as the summon.
But the abyss isn't always about fighting, a lot of it is but not nearly all. Souls is literally nothing but fighting.
I was just thinking about this. Imagine a much more survival-focused soulsborne-type of game by From, where you try to explore as far down into the abyss as possible before something gets you. Of course, it would be seamless, and have that grand sense of scale and framing that From got in all their games. It wouldn't follow the plot of the manga, instead you'd start as your own-designed red whistle and gain whistle levels as you manage to delve further and further down. You could either have run-ins with other delvers, or you could team up with them trying to recover artifacts from the far outskirts in the 5th layer. Some of the very best players still standing will become white whistles only after your friend sacrifices their hard-fought-for character, and push into the 6th layer.
What makes it so horrible apart from the purges? I really like their web reader.
While I would like a MiA game, soulsborne seems like the most soulless (no pun intended) and drab framework you could possibly base this on.
It's a fantasy world of magical artifacts, flashy powers and colorful creatures.
Why would you want to limit yourself to a gameplay of browns and greys in which you're shackled to the floor, and the most "fantasy" thing around is "I can shoot fireball!"-tier magic?
Etrian Odyssey, but with a mix of Dark Souls and Bionic Commando gameplay.
This is your white whistle for today
This one's good too.
How should they implement the burdens? Probably something like a point of no return on some of the greater ones and status effects on the lesser ones?
It just doesn't translate at all
