Hyoudo wasn't really mad in the way you seem to think. He was angry/surprised that his dance had been copied so easily which ended up motivating him in the next heat. It's not like he was mad that Tatara danced or that he got disqualified.

Sengoku's plan was brilliant because even though it failed in its original intention, it converted Hyoudo into a dancing god and leveled up Tatara which is more than worth a six month disqualification.

What are your guys' thoughts on the show? I feel the music, though sometimes it feels a little out of place during some non-dance scenes, and style are really strong, I like it a lot. Some of the frames look great like seeing the frames of fired up Hyodo. However I feel the dancing falls really flat, it's a lot of stillf rames half the time, or just doesn't feel as vibrant or dynamic as the way the manga had them drawn. And I know there is a difference, but the dancing feels very average or okay. I am looking forward to seeing more due to music and the great characters/story, but I hope the dancing during Tenpei cup is a lot better.

This, it's pretty disappointing but the rest is good enough to let it pass. Some of the frames were amazing, but some other were pretty bad in comparison, mainly Tatara's smile while dancing, it was much better in the manga both in art and impact. Overall they are doing a pretty good job, even though it could be better since the mistakes are small things you wouldn't expect them to fuck up.

I did with Made in Abyss, and with several others. It depends. If you aren't a suoer dedicated watcher to a show, you might end up just not watching. I fell behind on BnH anime and did this. But I think it enhances due to being able to see how the anime takes some things and how it brings to live what you love. And you get to look forward to each episode knowing what it brings but wondering how they'll do it. Like said earlier, the only big problem you'll see is that the intensity or feel of the dance in the anime, imo, feels just meh or alright, it's nothing amazing and doesn't hold the intensity or fluidity/motion of the manga. But I highly recommend it. The manga is so good
