Idk man. I literally grew up with the series--picked it up when i was like 12 and am well into my 20's now. Have had my fair share of relationships and wasn't interested in women till I was like 20..so I kind of get Luffy's perspective. The crew helps Big Meme in her rage form, with Sanji cooking up the cake and chopper dealing with her rage symtoms, saving the Big Meme pirates from extinction. The big bitch then lets them go after having her disgusting cake and is never seen again because shes a female and Oda can't let a female have a fucking fight these days, and instead relies on sexism to let them escape. Meme might show up in the final war with the World Government, but the best we'll get is a few panels of her taking souls from some fodder Vice Admirals.

One way the Yonkou stays a threat and builds up the already anticipated Elbaf arc.

After the debacle of the tea party, the loss of the Tamatebako, the loss of Germa tech and the damage to her chateau there's no way she wouldn't be furious with the forces that lead to that happening. We have no reason to think that she wouldn't send someone to hunt down the Straw Hat's loved ones whilst also seeking direct revenge as well, her character has been established as cruel and vindictive. Without some form of resolution on the potential desire for revenge once Big Mom comes to her senses, we can only be expected to think that she'd be looking to get back at the Straw Hats, be it indirectly or directly. Hence, if they do end up escaping, we'd need that issue to be directly identified and dealt with in the narrative. Much of this discussion really comes back to how this will be dealt with, given the numerous ways the arc could still end as it currently stands. That's why I'm personally of the belief that it's not actually over yet and the Straw Hats still have some work to do on WCI; likely involving dealing with Big Mom's craving rage and having the issue of loved ones killed taken off the table, but not the entirety of Big Mom's anger at them directly.
