I was just thinking about this myself, I really don't know why I like him so much. He isn't particularly well written. His abilities are way overpowered to the point where it's laughable, he knows everything, he's pretty much always correct when it comes to predicting things or thinking critically, he never caves under pressure. I guess I just like how all around perfect he is. He's really annoying during the Hunter Exams when he acts as the know-it-all of the group but during Yorknew, his ability to take control of a situation and think carefully about everything is a quality that draws me toward him.

This is really interesting. I prefered Pika in the hunter exam arc. He was very arrogent, but was willing to put aside his pride when he needed to. He was a bit of a hypocrite for believing so strongly in being honorable when his primary motivation was revenge. I guess I liked that he had a dissonant personality and a lot of room to grow. He's seemed very dull to me ever since Yorkshin. His biggest saving grace has been Melody, I think, since she humanizes him.

Actually making yourself elastic would likely be manipulation, but I could see an enhancer specifically boosting their flexibility and elasticity to boost defense rather than focusing on just making their body tougher. Just reread what In and Gyo actually do and it only makes sense that regular aura can be seen without Gyo, otherwise In would only be used for conjured objects.
