re-read what got us to this point. that idiot sempai who showed up to save carol still sees her as a child and spent all his time idolizing tomo during the rescue. There was even a mini arc of him joining fucking tomo's dojo.

It wasn't just jun x tomo which was ruined in the delinquent arc, it was carol x sempai which was busted up (from carols point of view). So Carol is trying her own way to get to sempai and force junxtomo together. She's trying jealousy. She is trying to make both Tomo and Sempai jealous, to force them to DO SOMETHING. the best result from Carol's pov is tomo and jun becoming a thing which then terminates sempai's path to tomo while igniting his jealousy and desire for carol.

at the same time I think she's just as happy if she get's tomo pissed off at carol to make a move on jun if for no other reason then tomo might take a swing at her (in hopes it makes sempai fight tomo)
