This season has plenty of interesting looking shows, sequels that fans are sure to enjoy, and many adaptations of manga that are acclaimed, or at least enjoyed, by the rest of /a/.

Just took a first look at it. I would not say, there is nothing good to be found here. But usually I can mark down about 10-14 shows per season, I am interested in.

Now at a first glance, I was only sure with 4. There are a lot in there that will probably be okay, but nothing really grabbed my attention.

Absolutely agree. But that's what we can say after the fact. You can't claim that an anime is shit before watching it. This season had a fair amount of potentially good series - Bahamut, Re:Creators, Sekaisuru, Uchouten S2 (which is amazing, by the way), just off the top of my head.
Just because a lot of these fell flat doesn't mean that the season was destined to be shit from before anything even aired. That's like claiming I'm dead right now simply because I will be dead in the future.

The smart phone thing is going to be the shittiest and most pandering crap from that list.

Which of course means it will be the most popular and highest selling.
