The struggle with apathy is there- essentially Red Hot Chili Pepper represents all the distractions from society that are available- attacking through videogames, telephones and recreational motorcycles. You could even say these distractions killed the smart half of Okayasu.

The death of RHCP and the beginning of the Kira Mystery starts with Josephs arrival in Morioh, though Jotaro had already began behaving like a strong Fatherly/Masculine rolemodel for Josuke.
Joseph, Jotaro and Josuke have all struggled with absentee fathers and have had to compromise in some way; being a YMCA gay biker or secretly whispering the name of your ex-husband you killed everytime the wind blows. All three of them are struggling with the Mystery of Kira; the mystery of Fatherlessness.

Anything that relates to a single character in Part 4 also relates to Morioh Society as a whole; you could see Josuke as a character who wants to preserve his township and his goofy outgoing innocent way of life while Kira is a loner who compromises his own potential to preserve his own solitude. If you remove the drama and the stand powers then Kira isn't a serial killer; he's the kind of guy who destroys his own relationships with people to enjoy them artificially later; as in he would masturbate to your facebook photos before he ever had the courage to ask you out.

In videogames/anime we often see the internal struggle of a character played out as an external struggle- sometimes by multiple characters.

Ultimately Part 4 is Josuke, Jotaro & Joseph restoring the family bond of the Joestar bloodline; closing old wounds and moving on.

I'm not surprised he changes stuff so often, with major parts of p5 being changed because of his emotional status and part 4 being written almost ad-lib.

Josuke's resentment towards Joseph is touched on multiple times - he's very cold and exasperated towards him during the Shizuka arc, even to the extent of blaming him unfairly, and barely has anything to do with him for the rest of the part up until the end, where he proves he hasn't forgiven him and still wants to punish him by stealing his shit.

Josefumi's fear of water was foreshadowed in the first JJL fight with the girl in the tub, his traumatic near-drowning was shown in flashback, his self-loathing and resentment because of it were explicitly the reason he idolized Kira and Holly, they were also why he nearly betrayed Kira, and then he went and cried about his mommy issues over Kira's corpse before sacrificing himself.

You can't cry about Jolyne's daddy-issues that concluded by the end of the second fight just because an unnamed side-character gave his opinion on it while somehow giving all of this a free pass.

Basically. Vento Aureo had the best stands but the fight-tactics themselves (especially the team ones) were underwhelming.

I think Stone Ocean handled team-fights the best, with characters constantly combining their abilities in constructive ways. SBR was a bit of a step backward, it had good fights but virtually all of them involved Gyro or Johnny being incapacitated so that the other had to do all the work.

Why not? Jotaro is important to the story from beginning to end and a big chunk of the story is entirely about saving Jotaro by getting the disc. -Diavolo and Doppio are an interesting concept for a villain and personalities, but in the end, Diavolo is the one that still dominates when things get bad for Doppio. Unpopular opinion: Diavolo deserved the death loop.
-I like the MC and the hate he constantly gets is undeserved. He may not be the most social or outgoing type, but he somehow manages to balance the DIO and Jonathan traits in order to be a good, likeable, and functional person despite having some moral/ethical neutral gray tendencies. He's a willing team player despite having hidden motives in which he and Buccellati had agreed on before they came to light. Gold Experience is an alright stand despite its inconsistencies. Then again, I like all of the MCs of each part in their own varied way. They all have their flaws and quirks, but they're all good and righteous people in the end.
