Lucoa was trash, but Tohru/Kobayashi moments were the footholds of normalcy along the series' wacky ocean of maid jokes and magical dragon shenanigans. Island-hopping along the path of Kobayashi and Tooru's development together is the only real way to consistently appreciate the show. Every other appeal point is either too diluted (despite being rich in quality) or outright poor (Lucoa, 90% of Elma, and maybe 50% of Saikawa).
