Let me phrase my argument better then. Right now we are heading for a magical solution to fixing Casca. Her growing stronger and rebuilding herself should be a slow fucking process that should take ages. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the story and with her as she is presented in it.

That is why I was asking over and over for specifics because I just can't imagine her overcoming the eclipse in a dream and then just waking up and being normal again. Even being able to form a sentence seems crazy given she is basically just an animal now.

Again try to paint me your version. She overcomes it in a dream with tons of weird metaphors with the help of Schierke and Farnese (those details are actually not that important) and then wakes up and then what?

To me Berserk should be bittersweet. Casca being sort of fixed but not being able to remember Guts as a cost is almost the definition of bittersweet to me. We already have the prediction "what you want might not be what she wants" or something along the lines.

I don't really know my version of how Casca will overcome what's happened to her, just her accepting that the Band of the Hawk is dead, that there are still people in the world who love and care about her and that she shouldn't base her entire life around what Griffith thinks of her. I guess I'll leave that to Miura. As for what happens after that, Guts probably won't be by her side when she wakes up, so she'll likely be the PoV character for a couple of chapters where she interacts with the rest of the jRPG party, figures out what Guts has been doing for her sake and starts rediscovering herself. I actually see her getting along best with Isidro and Serpico, the latter's interactions with Guts following him joining the jRPG party are seriously similar to Casca's initial distrust of Guts, though Serpico is more self-assured.

You probably want to know my endgame for all of this, but I see Casca taking up the mantle of being the true leader of Band of the Hawk and uniting the jRPG party against Griffith, as bullshit as that sounds. It might happen though, who knows.

I think Casca has been through enough. She just wanted to find a place to fit in and both guts and griffith have brought her nothing but misery. At this point it may have been better for that nobleman to have raped her and sold her to a brothel rather than have had griffith rescue her.

If and when we reach the point where her sanity is back or is about to be returned I hope she acknowledges guts but forsakes him and moves on with her life on her own. Make it a bittersweet farewell and then have guts and casca go their seperate ways(ending her role in the manga). If miura did that he will be blasted, and possibly killed for it now, but will cement the legacy of berserk in stone.

It would do the story much better to show a definitive, I hesitate to say resolution, acceptance that happened long ago. I would love for the characters deal with it as adults and move on rather than continuing a tragic love story like a spoiled child who refuses let go.

Have just watched the first two episodes. Oh boy, am I surprised given I expected way less.

But seriously, I think they are doing a good job so far. The only thing I'm kind of bummed is how they seemingly skipped the attack at the fortress of Shet, Western Midland. It's supposed to be one the iconic moments when most of the Neo band of the Hawk join Griffith's rank. Some scenes of it are shown in the opening, but I expected to see the whole scene as the first episode ended with it as a cliffhanger and the second episode opened with it.

I don't see Irvine anywhere on the OP's or ED, and that bothers me. Grunbeld, Rakshas, Zodd and Locus can be seen in the OP, but Irvine is nowhere to be seen, even the ending that features some good shots of Sonia.

He should appear in the next episode so looking forward to it.

I thought i'd be able to tolerate the CG after putting up with the first season, but the fact that they do 2D animation for scenes without guts/casca/isidoro/serpico/farnese is really a kick in the gut. It was the exact same last episode too, the scene with the kushans and bakiraki looked infinitely better than the rest of the episode.
