They're using songs from the dub, just like how the movie uses songs from the Japanese dub. The difference is that the English version will just be redone, while the Japanese version was orchestral.
It's the same as the new Digimon movies using the English theme instead of the awesome remixes. Come to think of it, if Dragon Ball was still being marketed to kids, those two movies would probably have had their score replaced with rock music.

This is one of the shonen series where the main character's battles aren't particularly one dimensional or boring because of the crazy shit the setting allows the writer to put in. Most other series relegate the interesting fights to side characters due to how generic the main character's powers tend to be.

Looks like the translator copy-pasted the real card's description. In the manga, Chain Destruction's effect automatically targets the first monster with less than 2000 ATK that enters the field, regardless of players.

That's why Yugi said he wouldn't be able to summon monsters after playing the trap.
Also, the "this turn" part was added in, so presumably he didn't have any monster to play that turn and was talking about the next ones.

Yeah, that's a mistranslation. The rule actually states players can't set more than 1 of each of the 3 card types per turn.

That's why Yugi and Pandora spend like 3 turns in a row setting Spells during the Dark Magician stalemate. Also why Rishid has to play a Field card to be able to set 2 Traps per turn.

Probably the former, as according to the Gospel of Truth (a massive info dump of the manga), Atem only has 3 losses: the one with Kaiba in DK, against Jou when Malik controlled him and vs Yugi

After looking at the raws, I suspect this might have been a necessity. Yu-gi-oh's Japanese typesetting is pretty ass. Lots of instances where they have those spiky thought bubbles, with absolutely no attempt made to fit the text inside of them. Text spills outside because the bubble is too small or the font side is too big. Text spilling outside the bubble because even though the bubble's large enough to fit the text, they failed to center it in the bubble. Then plenty of text not on any bubble, but intentionally placed on the artwork.

So while Viz seems to have gotten the manga images sans sound effects, if the Japanese text was in the same image layer as the artwork, they'd have been pretty well fucked over. They'd have no choice but to use those white boxes to cover things up, because it would have been prohibitively expensive and time consuming to fix the artwork.

Viz themselves have proven you wrong. There are series far worse than Yu-Gi-Oh! which don't have these problems. There isn't anything coming these days that doesn't have touch-up; it's not nearly as time-consuming as you seem to think.

It's trivial to do it right when you have the blank artwork to work with. And he probably thinks they're trash too. If Kaiba invited only people he thought were good it'd be him and Yugi. Kaiba probably had his people do the sorting and inviting. The levels probably already existed based on deck contents and tournament wins, and Kaiba just needed to tell them to invite people level 5 or above. Since Jou still had a pretty weak deck in terms of rare cards, and his tournament wins could be counted on one hand, he just simply hadn't made the cut yet.
