I think people have just waited too long and are frustrated. The Tsukihime Remake was announced some where in 2010 or 2011, a new DDD novel was promised at some point, and hope arouse then an actual trailer with sprites and setting designs came out in early 2013. Hype was huge and people were hopeful for it to be released within 2 years and were still awaiting a fan translation of Mahou Tsukai no Yoru. These people waited but in the main time. New Fate stuff kept popping up. A new Fate manga here, a new Fate LN series there, a couple Fate games made...Fate, Fate, Fate. Not to long ago, Gate GO was announced and released shortly later. After years of waiting and seeing other stuff being made and released that is not what out were promised years ago would make those people get really frustrated and angry. Another frustrating point is we waited for the other stuff to be mad and expand the the nasuverse but universe we first grown attached to is retconned by the installments of Fate. I think Fate GO is the straw that broke the camels back. Not necessarily a straw per se, but GO became the largest push in terms of popularity and story altering where some of the Nasverse fans feel threatened for further delaying the VN or even speculating Fate releases continuing. The pent up emotion was finally released during this push push by TYPEMOON and that is why you now see it on the boards.
