Was Kira really an effective villain in comparison to all the other side villains we saw in part 4? Or was he weak when it comes to the big villains of JoJo overall?
His sexy dad game was on point, and that's all that matters.
>Kira didnt win
>we will NEVER have yoshikage family slice of life
>tfw no SOL about how Shinobu's constant handjobs allow Kira to live a peaceful life without blowing up sluts
>tfw no European holiday arc where they go to the Louvre
>needs a non-Stand User to activate
>can't protect yourself from attacks while it's activated
>anime Kira doesn't know when Josuke and Co. are actually going to explode
Bite the Dust has some pretty legit weaknesses, especially when you don't have the time to find out how it actually works.
The man looks like David Bowie, has a hand fetish, has a stand that's a pink catman, said stand can allahu akbar things, has a second ability that's a mixture of a tank a homing landmine and a roomba, has the power to FUCKING GO BACK IN TIME,accidentally saved a marriage, almost killed the entire cast once and has a goddamn catplant that shoots air bubbles which he turns to invisible bombs.
have i made my point yet OP ?
He wasn't effective, but he had a lot of luck and a literal guardian angel, which made him fearsome.
I would have liked if Araki played the mistery surrounding him a little more, make their chase of Kira a little more like a detective/noir stand story, because Kira's forte and main motivation was hiding it.
I liked his final fight more than Dio's final fight, but to be fair Dio's fight was overall better. If you compare him with Pucci, Valentine and Diego he doesn't shine that much in his final fight, but invisible bombs were sick.
He could've killed Jotaro or Koichi in Sheer Heart Attack. It's not like either of them did much after that anyway (well, ignoring later parts at least).
And I fucking love Okuyau's asspull revival, no way would I want to take that out.
>Bite the Dust has some pretty legit weaknesses, especially when you don't have the time to find out how it actually works.
Every weakness can be prevented by not shouting your name out loud in the street like an autist.
Shigechi was literally introduced in order for Kira to kill someone, no one cares about him
>dies literally one arc after he's introduced
>exacty same thing happens to Aya right after Shigechi's death
At least the anime gave us some breathing room before his death.
Kira's probably the most well-rounded villain aside from Pucci or Valentine.
I mean, what's his competition?
>Dio starts out with flaws in Phantom Blood, but then just loses pretty much all of his fun traits and quirks in Stardust Crusaders.
>Diavolo is just "reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee no one must find out who i am ever" with no details given about him to make you care. (Doppio was funny, though)
>Kars is an even more boring Perfect Cell.
>a villain with actual depth that makes him understandable and thereby more terrifying is boring
>DIO just being evil because he's evil and being completely unrelatable is interesting
Considering he has no great ambition and simply wishes to lead a calm life while murdering woman he is fairly terrifying since he wouldn't be making people go after him normally.
His powers are fairly good too. If you don't know how the stand works, a single punch barrage is enough to fuck you over if he touches you with his right hand, and if that's not enough bite the dust can be used to reverse time and allow him a chance to counter what happens. Assuming there is a normal person nearby for him to use.
Sheer heart attack is also extremely dangerous. Some stands could probably stop it like Koichi's but most don't seem to fit the criteria to do so.
>SHA blows up whatever you light
>You run out of nearby flammable objects, or don't manage to get away from one in time.
That's assuming you managed to figure out that it tracks heat. Jotaro and Koichi were lucky that shop owner made coffee, others might not have that assistance.
Sheer Heart Attack presumably moves rather fast and it's invisible if you aren't a stand user.
The only reason Jotaro and Koichi were able to figure out its weaknesses were because of timestop, sheer luck with finding out that it tracks heat, and Echoes leveling up in time to make a hard counter.
Without a way of immobilizing it, it really has no weakness.
If it was hot enough that the pavement was over body temperature then SHA would basically nuke Morioh's road infrastructure because it doesn't stop until it kills a human.
Although given the intelligence of background characters in Jojo, someone would probably drive straight down that road that's exploding towards them and end it early.
If there weren't other stand users in Morioh, then literally no one could stop him or even have any reason to. At least every other villain leaves evidence behind when they kill people. With Kira, no one even knows that anyone's been murdered.
I really like Kira as a villain because he's just got so much style. The way he nonchalantly blows up that one dude from the train was great. So casually, effortlessly. I like part 4 in general the most so far (reading part 5 now), even though there was so much wasted potential in it.
Sheer Heart Attack is strong as fuck when looking at the series as a whole.
It's just that 3 of the main cast of DiU could hard-counter it (Josuke, Okuyasu, Koichi), and 1 of them can soft-counter it (Jotaro)
>Was Kira really an effective villain in comparison to all the other side villains we saw in part 4?
He's the best written villain so far and by a lot. He's not some buff powerlevel supervillain, he's a regular guy who gets a ton of screentime dedicated to showing his personality and quirks. He's the only villain without an ambiguous world dominate goal too.
did everyone see in the last few scene of the last episode some of those background characters appear in one frame? like the mother and the baby that josuke flipped over?
and another thing if you see a vehicle coming why would you scream and crouch instead of getting out of the fucking way? I mean its not truck-kun which is invincible but still.
Whats the point of BtD timelooping besides giving the person an extra chance to fix the future?
>He's the only villain without an ambiguous world dominate goal too.
>dio just wanted to take over the joestar estate
>kars just wanted to be perfect
>pucci just wanted to see heaven or dio
It's a little disconcerting how Araki could write such a good serial killer. Everything from his little idiosyncrasies, his way of speech, his outward charm while at the same time being a disgusting individual on the inside. He's just a good fucking villain, by any measure.
Because its goal is to hide Kira's identity. If the others had learned through a witness or something that someone exploded after talking to Hayato, they could use that to infer he's linked to Kira. Looping and then blowing up the person out of nowhere because fate removes all visibile ties to Kira.
Probably so that it's more difficult to make the connections between Kira, the one possessing BtD, and the victims investigating Kira.
Think of it this way, if it didn't reset time, observers would notice that these explosions are centered around Hayato and might be able to work around it. Once time is reset, the explosions are technically random, they just happen with no provocation regardless if Hayato is there or not.
I mean, there are probably better methods that are less bonkers than time looping, but it's cool so whatever
>dio just wanted to take over the joestar estate
And became a vampire hellbent on terrorizing the world. And in part 3 its pretty clear he intends to fuck shit up once he's done destroying the Joestar family.
>kars just wanted to be perfect
So he could terrorize the world.
He's a meme, like everything in Jojo. The more memes attributed to a character the better the character is. That's about how it goes in this series. Realistically Kira was weak as fuck and outnumbered from the beginning and basically stood no chance against any singular character.
>And became a vampire hellbent on terrorizing the world
yeah because more powers means higher goal to set but without the mask he just wouldve been greedy.
>So he could terrorize the world.
when was that stated? that was just their assumption out of fear.
>basically stood no chance against any singular character.
>killed koichi before being super super asspulled to life
>killed okuyasu before super asspulled to life
he only to really worry about jotaro and josuke
If we take away Josuke's close as fuck call heals Part 4 would end with
>Dead Okuyasu (Though I give it a pass for his spiritual intervention)
>Possibly dead Jotaro
Imagine being just a highschooler and having to deal with the weight of all your close friends and family being brutally murdered.
>yeah because more powers means higher goal to set but without the mask he just wouldve been greedy.
Dio would never be satisfied, the narrator even makes it pretty fucking clear that nah, Dio's just pure evil.
Don't forget he killed the entire main cast with BtD.
Kira just has to touch you with KQ in order to win, that is insanely strong.
He wasn't lying when he told Josuke he could have killed them all any time he wanted, they had no clue what he looked like so all he had to do was "accidently" bump into them while walking down a sidewalk and then fucking blow their ass up.
Why didn't he do that? Because he just wants to be left the fuck alone, he hates conflict and fighting.
Sorry to offtopic in this thread but JoJo fans are cool and mybe someone can answer my question
Just got out of jail and i was wondering what happened to Taiga !!dMbDe6oa7US and SHiN?
I can see they are not around anymore, and when i left it was a huge shitstorm i just wanna know how it ended.
In a sense he was. People love Kira because more so than any other villain he feels like the protagonist of his own side story. Think of the first chapter that he's the focus of. There's no stand encounters until the very end, it's just him trying to get back his sandwich bag from a fat kid.
He can turn the capsule into a bomb, the capsule wouldnt be able to break until he detonated it though, much like the air bubble didnt pop when it was split in half.
>Weak in terms of power
Even without BtD he is still insanely strong.
His ability is a 1 touch kill. Not a punch, or a chop, but a touch.
He can even touch an object and if you touch it after him you are dead.
How is that not powerful?
>Possibly dead Jotaro
Did you see that nigga? He'd lost virtually all of his blood and was filled with a fuckton of holes. I'm surprised he could even fight in that state. Kira was surprised, too.
I dunno, I figured it was like a debris cloud. He might be able to turn the entire cloud into a bomb. Or like you said use Stray Cat's air bubbles to trap the virus then turn it into a bomb.
He's strong, but compared to stopping time and vampiric abilities, erasing time, accelerating time and shifting universes he doesn't measure up without Bites the Dust. That's what makes him a truly terrifying threat.
He was great because he's so much different than any other main villain.
And having a physically weaker Stand that has its abilities countered by practically the entire main cast was a nice idea.
>that has its abilities countered by practically the entire main cast was a nice idea
Eh, not really. It was nice seeing how Kira could keep escaping from increasingly hopeless situations until his luck finally ran out.
What would have happened if Kira didn't die?
He'd go back in time and never get caught by Josuke. Nurse-chan would become the new bomb carrier. From there it's anyone's guess. Kira might try and retrieve Killer Queen and actually kill his enemies or he might just go on living a quiet life.
Since it was the first part to really utilize the potential of stands, it all comes together around Kira.
Kira is in theory the ultimate criminal and the worst Jojo antagonist you can imagine. His powers would make him unstoppable as an offensive force if it weren't for Jotaro. His tendency to avoid fighting makes him even scarier because he's a master of being exceptionally average and thus hard to track down.
But on the other hand, we have a wide variety of allies seeking to defeat him. Coincidentally, two of these allies are particularly useful in defeating Kira. Crazy Diamond and Killer Queen are polar opposites in abilities. Koichi develops his stand as he learns about Kira, and we see that weaker stands can adapt and evolve to fit a given situation.
Even up until the bitter end with the allies perfectly countering Kira's abilities he still has the upper hand until he's face to face with Jotaro and gets instagibbed.
Sure you could chalk a lot of the twists up to asspulls, and sure there's a lot of plotholes looking back. But the whole concept of the part and Kira as the villain is a nearly-perfect premise for a mystery plot. With some touching-up, Part 4 would probably be my favorite part.
We don't know how Killer Queen II's tertiary bomb works yet, and Kira II doesn't have Stray Cat. He's equally analytical and more sane, but I think he'd also be more willing to go on the offense than Kira I.
If he had Josefumi, Kira II could probably fuck up Kira I. If not, it would heavily rely on whatever his tertiary bomb does. If neither of them have their tertiary bomb or Stray Cat, I'd put my money on Kira II since he's more likely to take risks.
Kira I with BtD > Kira II w/o 3rd bomb
Kira I with Stray Cat vs Kira II is iffy
Kira I < Kira II w/ Josefumi
Kira I < Kira II both with only 1st and 2nd bombs
Awakened Kira I vs Awakened Kira II is a total tossup until we figure out how Kira II's 3rd bomb works
The ifunny watermark makes the meme, my dude
I picked it up recently. So... In a few chapters there's a dude who went from random asshole to superhuman x vampire. Then became able to control people's mind only to reveal he's also able to transform 400 years old corpses into zombies (with their original body). Also one of the zombie has killed his executioner by growing his hair extremely fast as he was dying. All this while taking themselves really seriously and making pose. I've really enjoyed it at the beginning but as soon as Dio wear the mask it's shit.
Should i keep reading or it's always an asspull fest like that.
It's disappointing because it ends up deceiving people into seeing Kira as weak even though he'd tear apart most other parts with the exception of some part 5 stands and Weather Report
Crazy Diamond nerfs him so hard it's not even funny. Then throw in Act 3 and The Hand it's a miracle he got as far as he did.
If you keep reading you'll find the President of the US raping a 14 year old only for her to speak to Jesus and get pregnant with the mummified head of Christ Himself, because the President wants to use Jesus to make America great again.
I'd say part 4 since if it got to a slug match between them Primary Bomb would come out on top. Also I don't know if part 8's SHAs are invincible like Kiras. I'd assume they aren't considering how many there are.
Also I'm pretty sure part 8's bubble bombs are visible since they all have star patterns on them. They aren't made of literal air like part 4's with Stray Cat.
Bites the Dust doesn't apply here since it's an insta-win button that lets Kira go back in time and remain aware about the future if he's the one who triggers it.
Part 4 is like a game of chess in terms of how things play out. Kira is overpowered as fuck, but all of the pieces move delicately around him and keep putting him in check. He keeps sliding out of check until the allies finally get him into a position almost by sheer luck that puts him into checkmate.
DIO was evil because he was a man disillusioned with humanity because of the death of his mother and constant ironic plot twists in his early life. He then spent 100 years reflecting on how much he hated humanity in a coffin at the bottom of the ocean.
Saying he's evil for no reason is just irrational.
But everyone was already investigating Hayato, and they knew explosions were Kira's MO. If people start blowing up randomly on the day they meant to question Hayato, at least one of them is going to connect the dots.
Considering both their stands are the same yet different. Its up to who wants it more
>Kira has contact touch bombs that decimate you once its activated
>SHA is a single, nearly invincible bomb that seeks heat and makes sure its target is dead
>Stray cat bubble bombs are meant to be for long distance and give a bit more room for explosions yet without a secondary party, cannot be aimed
>Bubble bombs that explode with or without contact
>Multiple SHAs that seem invincible, cause alot of damage, and can vary in size
Its any ones game tbqh
The fact Kira's a serial killer and was only shown to kill bitchy and shitty women is kinda funny. It's almost as through Araki didn't want to go through with making him look completely reprehensible by killing Koichi's mom or sister, Yukako or Josuke's mom. It leads you to sympathize with him a little more.
Nigga's on thot patrol 24/7
>Who is Reimi
And he specifically said that it wasn't anger or resentment towards women that made him kill them. That Minako chick was simply because she had nice hands and his blood was up, the idea that Kira is some kind of supreme gentleman who's out to cleanse the world of evil whores is a dumb headcanon made up by dumb fans who are trying to make him relatable.
Well yeah, but the situation only got that far because Kira didn't have BtD before. In just two resets they were all dead because they learnt about Kira at the same time. Had Rohan been the only one exploding, the others might have realized it was linked to Hayato, but only because they were all there with the plan of meeting Hayato, in other circumstances they wouldn't even be sure if he was dead or not. And in fact, because they were going to meet Hayato, they were pretty much fucked up.
Probably to make them a slight more realistic.
>Its up to who wants it more
Part 4 Kira takes it then. His Autism in Unbreakable
What about the microscopic ones he uses? I can't remember if any of them survive the explosions. They might just be regular bombs.
And the main difference between Stray Cat bombs and bubble bombs is the former is invisible. Also Primary Bomb is handy for turning other objects into bombs which can either be detonated manually or touched by someone else in which case the bomb goes inside them.
>Who is Reimi
Some bitch who died 15 years ago whose death we never see and was Kira's very first victim.
And you missed my point entirely. He kills shitty women, which makes it seem like those are the women he goes after, and make you care less about their deaths because they're bitches anyway.
>And you missed my point entirely. He kills shitty women, which makes it seem like those are the women he goes after, and make you care less about their deaths because they're bitches anyway.
It would not surprise me if Reimi abused Rohan. Rohanchan my ass.
I have a question about Bites the Dust. In both cases where it kills someone they see the tiny Killer Queen first before it goes inside their eyes. So is seeing the stand enough to trigger it? Would a stand user attacking Hayato and causing BtD to protect him trigger the bomb?
Part 8 KQ became smug & sassy like his user
Yeah that's how it happened in one of the rewinds. Hayato tried to kill himself so KQ protected him and the others all saw KQ, activating BtD. So if another Stand user were to attack Hayato and see Killer Queen, BtD would trigger.
>It would not surprise me if Reimi abused Rohan
Everyone knows she fucked her dog. What kind of girl gets some boy's tongue rammed down her throat at that young an age? Probably diddled Rohan too.
Kira did the town of Morioh a service that day.
One reason SSB is so highly regarded was the final fight was absolutely epic. Johnny was on the brink of death and was able to pull off a miracle. Compare that to Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro and Josuke who were relatively okay. So damn refreshing seeing a Jojo constantly getting body torn to shreds and scrapping to his goal.
Kira's only shown killing two rude women, and because Reimi is the only actual character out of the women he killed (aside from Aya, but that wasn't for her hands) I'm pretty sure she's more representative of his average victim anyway. People might not care too much about the deaths of those two chicks, but I'm pretty sure they were meant to care about what Kira was doing in general. And with panels like the hand-sucking one and so on it's clear Araki was going out of his way to make him seem utterly grotesque at points.
Note that the chick who he planned on making the BTD carrier was perfectly helpful and kind, and there's no way he would have let her live after he was done with her.
Giorno's generic as fuck looking
>Kira is alt Jotaro
>Josefumi is alt Kakyoin
>they don't lay an egg but they DO become one person
>Jo2uke is alt Jouta
CLAMP probably fucking love JoJolion.
Koichi was badass throughout DIU. Gaining the respect of Jotaro, Rohan and even Kira.
The guy got a hot piece of ass in a girlfriend and you say he isn't a badass? Fuck off. Koichi (next to Josuke) is one of the most base characters in all of Jojo.
Is Akira losing his creativity? Why he would do the same villain twice. Honestly this alternative universes are a cool idea but he recycles too much old stuff doing it
Does Araki regret making Star Platinum so OP?
He was also backed into a corner when he tried using BtD. Most of Kira's victims happen that way - bystanders who got caught up in the stand bullshit like the shoe store guy.
He's a murderer but then again so is everyone else in JoJo. The fact Araki didn't make him kill girls we actually cared about shows his hesitance.
Badass Koichis are rare but nice
Friendly reminder that Mrs. Brando was a fucking retard who died for no good reason and would ultimately impart a lesson that would get her son killed in the future for no good reason.
Everything is relative but Giorno doesn't really stand out to me, his outfit is too similar to Buccellati's but not as striking and his face + hair aren't anything amazing either.
Part 8 Kira isn't a villain and the names are basically just references. The only similarity Part 8 Kira has to Part 4 Kira is that they both like hands, although Part 8 Kira only likes his own hands. Most of the names shared between the universes are just references and characters have only passing similarities to reference old characters, but functionally they're completely different characters. Killer Queen was recycled because Araki really likes drawing it.
I have yet to see another character design with donut hair and ladybug brooches
Until it blows up the power lines. RHCP is made of electricity, which carries a lot of heat, meaning that SHA would be all over that shit like a bitch in heat.
It's still one of the strongest stands in DiU though.
>one of the worst stands in the entire series
Looks like you don't watch much Jojo because I can name 10 that far worse
>pegged nightly by a yandere
The yandere would turn to a pussy cat now that she has her prize. No pegging involved considering Koichi probably gives her the business. I think what sold me was the fact he stood up to Kira with one final fuck you
And? Only one of this friends who has a girl.
Damn right he is.
The only abilities more powerful are other time related abilities really. Stuff like King Crimson shits on time stop and Made in Heaven if it gets fast enough makes it useless. Outside of those, time stop and SP's strength and speed make it a brick shithouse.
I have a question
If Kira wouldn't go into the house to fight Josuke, why didn't he just send Sheer Heart Attack in there to blow them up repeatedly? I asked my friend this while watching and he replied "because he has a new gimmick now."
I can guarantee you that burning your hands on stew wouldn't cause fatal injuries that would kill you months afterwards unless your immune-system was fucked to the point that anything could have and would have killed you within a month.
Diego blaming her death on that specific incident was full of holes and something he did as a coping-mechanism. While the people running the farm were likely to blame for her poor health in general she most likely died mostly of malnutrition and disease that had a far deeper and more long-term cause than the stew.
The world was a very different place 120 years ago. Basic sanitation then in the most advanced countries was still almost third world level today and medicine for pretty much anything other than simple ailments was unheard of to the masses. The stew incident isn't really that full of holes, though you're right on him fixating on that particular incident when the land owners were shits on top of the already not great conditions they were living with.
He repaired his hand but it made the Stand go back into his hand as well. Go reread or rewatch the scene. He heals the hand which forces SHA back into it as it then flies off to Kira.
Yet here you are saying it sucks. Fucking idiot. Shall I remind you of shitty stands like Notorious BIG, Wheel of Fortune, Tenor Sax, Khnum, Highway To Hell and The Lock for example. Fuck out of here with your bullshit. Echos is a middle of the pack if not upper rankings.
While the lack of knowledge about sanitation and so on was definitely not up to scratch, this actually says that both of us were wrong and she died of tetanus and not a normal infection at all.
I'm pretty sure that the stew couldn't have anything to do with that, right? Tetanus is pretty fast, and is generally caused by something sharp going in deep and not getting any air in it. Could that be caused by a burn at all?
Jesus though, it's a horrible way to die, wouldn't she have done the back-contorting thing and had her jaw lock up and so on? Poor Diego.
>implying he remembers how to do that
Friendly reminder he could have stopped time immediately and Stah Phinga'd Kira's head off before he could even think of pressing the switch. He could have also used it to stab Ratt to death. He could probably use it like a baseball bat and send SHA to the other side of town.
I was going to ask where was the PV because tomorrow is friday but then I remember that the anime has ended
Yeah, and Joseph could have used Hermit Purple to find Kira but he didn't for the sake plot. Same thing. If Jotaro had used the full extent of his powers and killed Kira around the mid-part, then DiU wouldn't be a story. But we don't have to take into account things Araki overlooks for the sake of plot when we're discussing powerlevels.
I think that played into character well: many successful serial killers have one big weakness, due to their confidence, and that could easily be notability. He thought he was invincible, and when around his prey he seemed like he was in a high state, completely different. His guard is lowered around quivering defenseless women.
>Joseph could have used Hermit Purple to find Kira but he didn't for the sake plot
Reminder that Joseph attempting to use Hermit Purple to photograph Josuke resulted in nothing but pictures of Angelo, a completely different man.

What was that thing called where we made a lot of pictures like this?
>more depressed than ever
>unable to pay rent and will be evicted since nobody knows the combination to the safe where they keep money
>cat will be put down because they're unable to care for it anymore
>Hayato will be blamed for her husband's disappearance because when she tries to look for him and asks his boss he'll tell her his last phone call was about disciplining his son

There he is. There he goes again. Look, everyone! He posted it once again! Isn't he just the funniest guy around?! Oh my God.
I can almost see your pathetic overweight frame glowing in the dark, lit by your computer screen which is the only source of light in your room, giggling like a little girl as you once again type your little reddit thread up and fill in the captcha. Or maybe you don't even fill in the captcha. Maybe you're such a disgusting NEET that you actually paid for a 4chan pass, so you just choose the picture. Oh, and we all know the picture. The "epic" jojo reference, isn't it? I imagine you little shit laughing so hard as you click it that you drop your Doritos on the floor, but it's ok, your mother will clean it up in the morning. Oh, that's right. Did I fail to mention? You live with your mother. You are a fat fucking fuckup, she's probably so sick of you
already. So sick of having to do everything for you all goddamn day, every day, for a grown man who spends all his time on 4chan
posting about a tired reddit joke. Just imagine this. She had you, and then she thought you were gonna be a scientist or an
astronaut or something grand, and then you became a NEET. A pathetic redditfag NEET. She probably cries herself to sleep everyday
thinking about how bad it is and how she wishes she could just disappear. She can't even try to talk with you because all you say is "IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?" You've become a parody of your own self. And that's all you are. A sad little man laughing in the dark by himself as he prepares to indulge in the same old dance that he's done a million times now. And that's all you'll ever be.
>Jonathan and Dio fighting for father's love and attention
But JoJo was never about that.
SP can survive a road roller but I dont think it can take 5 ice shards or more of the same size and weigh at once
same goes for Chariot, he can probably cut one but not all of them being fire at him at the same time
What r u talking about! Kira and Killa Queen are the best!!! Even my son loves Kira! And yeah his favorite stand is Killer Queen!
Because Joseph already got his time to shine as a major protagonist (and the main source of comic relief) in two parts.
I love the meme master as much as anyone else but 3 parts would have been too much
A huge part of why I loved Kira as a villain was because of how relatively underpowered he was for a Jojo bad dude. Let's compare:
>Dio: Superhuman vamp biology
>Kars: Superhuman Aztec fitness god biology, and eventually, immortality
>DIO: Vamp powers + OP time bullshit
>Diavolo: Haven't read, assuming it's also OP time bullshit
>Pucci: Power to steal stands and (eventually) gravity control + OP time bullshit
>Valentine: Sort-of immortality via D4C, Love Train makes him allllmost unbeatable
>Kira: Salaryman who can blow shit up. Time powers operate under very strict conditions
He managed to get farther than he should've by way of luck, but since it was basically him vs a whole group of stand users, he would've been fucked eventually
Yeah, Kira's not to be taken lightly but he wasn't ever suited for the world-domination attempts that the rest of them were dabbling in.
The final battle isn't the brave heroes prevailing over the ultimate evil against all the odds, it's a cornered man reaching the end of the line.
Calm down, he's probably just heard about how bad the part 5 scans are and wants to read it when the new ones are completed so he doesn't have a shitty and dry version of what happened in mind.
I just realised why Kira had to tell Hayato his name on the first loop and hence consequence loops.
Since Hayato didn't know his dad was Kira at the time, Kira wouldn't be able to activate his BtD since it only activates when Hayato is questioned about Kira's identity (which didn't know yet)
But he didn't. Jotaro was the one to kill DIO, and he got a lot more occasions to shine than Joseph. You can't compare that to DiU, where Jotaro was the one to lead Kira to his death.
Skipping parts is a sin, I read through the whole thing with shit scans and still liked it, there is no excuse.
I thought part IV would never get a good a opening, but Great Days proved me wrong. Too bad it's still not on par with Sono Chi no Sadame, BLOODY STREAM, Stand Proud and Sono Chi no Kioku.
If anyone stole part 4 it was Kira.
Jotaro is essentially on assignment to get to the bottom of all the craziness happening in Morioh. Josuke and Co. are essentially swept up in it because they have Stands, and we see a majority of the story from their PoV, but it is still very much Jotaro's investigation.
Bitch I started reading when the scans only went up to part 4 (and even then it was the Duwang scans). I think I'll just watch the anime adaptation of VA so I can be as surprised as all the other animeonlies
I read through it with shit scans and found it mediocre and full of characters I barely cared about. When it started being redone and I finally took another look at it I fell in love, but I can only imagine how much more enjoyable it'd be if I'd had a good translation that didn't overlook personalities the way the old one did.
Also your filename should be gio_beard.png.
Reread and/or rewatch the fight. Josuke did 95% of the work, all Jotaro did was score the finishing blow on a guy who was almost done for so that Josuke wouldn't have to be a murderer.
Don't listen to them. Part 5 is my favorite but it's completely comprehensible to skip it if you want to have a good first experience with it.
The new translation is almost done, 3 volumes left IIRC, so you can start it if you want to.
If you end catching up just wait for the new scans to come out.
>It turned the robot face into a demonic energy skull face (or in another perspective, no face at all, which is just as creepy)
Imagine being chased down by this monstrosity across all dimensions, unable to escape no matter what.
>The fight and the brunt of the work and all the iconic moments being about Josuke is meaningless, Jotaro and Koichi chipped in last
>ONLY THE RESULTS MATTER REEEEEEEEE
You're really boring, Diavolo
No no, I've already read part 5. When I first read it the good scans were only up to midway through White Album and as a result I was tremendously disappointed by the quality-drop after that. I love the part as a whole now, but I'd encourage people to wait for the good translation if they haven't already read the shit one. Stuff like Abbacchio's death would've moved me even more if I hadn't read a shitty version of it before.
Why was every trying to rape Lucy in Part 7?
There was no point in the Valantine rape scene, it was just cheap writing to make him seem more evil than is actually was. There are no deeper philosophical meaning or symbolism behind the rape. What did Araki mean by this? What was he trying to imply here?
He was showing that Valentine was a bad man uninterested in anything but personal gain. He doesn't actually give a fuck about America and just takes what he wants when he wants it. There was a point to the scene.
Post doujin plot ideas. Pic unrelated
And it was to demonstrate the Corpse's relevance to purity and so on too, right? The corpse teleported into Lucy to save her from Valentine and signify that she was the one who'd been chosen by it, but Valentine's delusion led to him thinking it was siding with him.
I got emotional when he started crying about mama and papa and when it cut to his drawing on the desk later.
It was like watching a kid with legit downs in RL getting bullied. Or a really ugly puppy who can talk.
Lads I cant finish part 8
It's so annoying to read
I'm at the part where you meet little higashikat fag in dress and its getting more and more annoying, I thought Joshu was the worst it got
And the pacing is just terrible
In the back of the car, Trish notices Mista and Fugo checking her nipple out and asks if they're interested in seeing what else she's got.
All this while the rest of the gang is in unaware in the front of the car.
I said "not suited for battle". Kira needs someone who knows about his secret, and he either needs his opponent to ask that someone about him, or that person to talk about him to his opponent. That's too much setup, and it wouldn't be effective in battle.
Meanwhile, time stop is very straightforward and effective
Tequila Joseph is objectively the best cosplay choice
That was the whole point of his character. America is just an excuse to do what he wants when he wants. He doesn't even treat other Americans with respect, like when he shot that officer who risked his life to get important intel into another dimension just because he couldn't be bothered dealing with him. It's all just to put him on top, but he's such a good liar that he fooled himself into thinking what he's doing is right.
Doesn't that contradict his entire character? He may be selfish for his country but he wasn't selfish for himself, he was a true patriot. If anything, Johnny is the selfish bastard who desires the corpse for himself.
He WAS selfish for himself though, the whole idea behind his and Johnny's arcs was that Johnny was insecure as fuck and doubting himself over everything whereas Valentine was a good liar who made people believe that he wanted what was best for his country when really everything he did was in self interest. Only when Johnny manages to see through Valentine's bullshit and realise Valentine isn't some noble hero but a liar like him is he able to have confidence in himself and kill him.
Shinobu tries to seduce Kira and he gives her an orgasm by liking her hand. (somehow)
We go through all generations of the family and witness the procreation of all joestars.
DIO fucking all his female followers.
>people STILL think Valentine was actually concerned more about his country than himself.
He was far more self serving than that, America just got picked up because he was American. He's such a good liar that he's managed to convince himself that doing things for himself is doing things for America.
Not him, and he does care about his country, but literally only because of what he can get out of it. He's the very definition of selfish but he's good with words and makes it sound prettier than that.
It's a BETTER time power, yes, but it's definitely not inherently stronger because of all the constraints. Do you really think Kira could use this power in battle against DIO?
I like Pucci and Valentine because they have that whole thing going on but seeing how badly people misinterpret both characters in wildly different directions is always pretty depressing.
Those were his motivations though, Araki made that crystal clear in the final scene of Johnny and him. Him dying from his Stand I don't get though, but canonically Valentine was only trying to help America because of what he'd get out of it personally.
>He's such a good liar that he's managed to convince himself that doing things for himself is doing things for America
That is the dumbest fucking thing I've hear in these threads today. Congrats.
A lottle is though
Every fucking man in Buccellati's gang is a trampy little cockgobbler, please just let me have this one paragon of heterosexuality
>Hasn't seen Young Enya
I'd hit that Centerfold of a woman like a Road Rolla, да.
>Mista confirmed most alpha male in picture
>Won't do doggy because it makes Trish get on all
Purely because of what he got out of it. I'm not the guy saying he didn't care about America but he only cared because of what he got out of it. He's selfish on numerous levels, even if what he was doing would help like 1% of the global population and damn the rest.
>Do you really think Kira could use this power in battle against DIO?
Depends whether or not DIO asks the person he turned into a bomb if they saw Kira. Or if he can trick them into writing or saying his name. Or by avoiding conflict altogether by travelling back an hour and doing something else with his time.
He could use it, but like you said, it's situational so he probably wouldn't get a chance to do it. Unless DIO decided to fuck around and not kill him instantly.
Purpe Haze was meant to be OP for the eventual traitor arc but then Araki scrapped that idea and Fugo was now redundant and too situational to work in any of his other planned fights and got cut.
>him dying from his Stand I don't get though
Whenever goes to another universe, he gives D4C to another Valantine who then continues his goal. The "original" Valantine died long before the story started. If he was truley selfish he would not of attained this particular ability, there would be not point for him to.
He has extremely questionable methods, and his ultimate goal isn't the most admirable (America an insurmountable superpower) but he believes he has the best intentions at heart.
>but canonically Valentine was only trying to help America because of what he'd get out of it personally
Where the fuck does it say that? His plan was to turn his country into a utopia at the expense of all other countries.
