Wakaba did not tell Taisha about what Chikage did, but based off her actions in the village, the fact she stole back the hero equipment, and how Shinju-sama abandoned her, they guessed, and decided not to deface the name of the Heroes with this destructive traitor. It's not just that she doesn't get a funeral, her name is to be permanently wiped from history, no one will ever know that a girl named Koori Chikage once gave her life fighting to defend the remnants of humanity.
We haven't seen how Yuuna will react to this news yet.

I'm a little worried about the fact that they did censor the diaries. Either we were wrong and neither Yuna or Wakaba are going to wreck the Taisha/Chikage's village/the outside world, or they do but the Taisha cover it up but don't bother with restoring Chikage's reputation, which would make them even bigger bastards. More than that, everyone thought there was at least a chance that one of them or Hinata would survive and become the head of the Taisha, but it's hard to imagine they wouldn't undo the censoring if they did. Odds of them all dying or being rendered broken husks just soared.

I am quite literally crying right now, please bear with me.

Several days pass. Yuuna is finally released from hospital, and comes into the classroom with a smile on her face and a happy "Good morning", excited to get back to training alongside Wakaba. It might even have been convincing, if her shoulders weren't shaking.


Wakaba and Hinata play along, though. They celebrate her recovery with a photo, and while they're at it, they take a look at Hinata's old memory cards. A photo of the first time they went to an Udon restaurant together comes up, since Yuuna said she wanted to go try out the local delicacy. So they all went together, and marveled at how delicious it was, Tamako more surprised than when she became a Hero, Chikage, Yuuna and Anzu all giving eloquent descriptions of just how amazing udon is. If Yuuna hadn't suggested they go to to the udon shop that one time, maybe the heroes would never have opened up to each other and become such good friends in quite the same way.


The next photo was from when Anzu went missing. Everyone searched for her, and eventually Tama found her having fallen asleep on a bench while reading. So Tama carried her home on her back, swearing to protect Anzu at all costs.


Then there's Christmas. Chikage never talked with the other Heroes, always playing games with her earphones in, but Yuuna and Tama try and make friends with her, and eventually she responds to Yuuna's suggestion for a Christmas party. Because Chikage's never had one before. So Yuuna tries to explain to her what they're like, but unsuccessfully. However, they do become friends, and agree to give each other presents and Yuuna calls Chikage "Gun-chan.


This talk of Chikage makes them want to mourn her properly, but of course they couldn't. So they decide to visit her grave, knowing her body was sent back to her home to be buried privately.

The plan to make Wasuyu anime and details about Gin's birthday have been decided since the first Mankai matsuri. It seems like there will be a bit difference between the theater version and the TV version. There will also be some differences between the anime and the novel. I think NoWaYu pretty much proves that Fuu and Tougou were doing exactly what Shinjuu wanted on their rampages and Yuuna's inability to transform and stop them early was also the hand of Shinjuu. To Shinjuu 300 years was just yesterday. To him the shit treatment of Fuu's group compared to Sonoko's group coupled with taking Sonoko's phone away just harkened back to how they treated Chikage and he just said "Enough". He then permitted a situation where humanity would live or die soley on the actions of the Yuusha.
And he would have been quite ok with humanity being wiped out for not controlling the Taisha.

Wakaba and co. entered Chikage's empty house and found her destroyed room. Everything in there, from the furnitures and clothes to the computer and game consoles, was all destroyed by Chikage except for one thing. The only thing remaining intact in that room was the graduation certificate that they gave her. Even in her unstable state, Chikage didn't destroy it, and that certificate became one of the last few proofs of Chikage's existence.
Taisha asked Wakaba to make another public speech to lift up the people's spirit. They, of course, once again wrote down everything for her. They planned to tell the public that Chikage has died only because she was unfit as a hero and that Wakaba and Yuuna are both superior and stronger than her so there is no need to worry about the Vertexes' threat. Wakaba only followed their propaganda draft in the first half. When it came to the Chikage related part, she started screaming about how Chikage was truly a hero who risked her life to save her, that even if the whole world didn't accept Chikage she (and Yuuna and Hinata) would still keep on calling her a hero, that the 5 of them including Chikage, Anzu, and Tamako were all heroes who fought alongside each other.
July, an oracle informing of the next Vertexes invasion has been received. A method to deal with the giant Vertex that has been forming outside of the wall still hasn't been found. There remain only 2 heroes.

I don't agree, I don't think Shinju-sama is this self aware. I think it's more about personal feeling and belief in oneself, Tougou and Fuu were dedicated and believed what they were doing was right, while Yuuna and Chikage doubted themselves and didn't truly want to battle their fellow heroes.

It's true that Shinju took away Chikage's power because she was unfit to be a hero at that time, though. To be a hero, you need to be pure - 無垢 (muku - "no kleshas") and have an absolute resolve. Chikage at the time was in a state of confusion and her mind was filled with only hate and jealousy. Tougou and Fuu at least knew what they were doing and only took those actions because they thought about their friends and family.
