The problem with this arc is the colorful transformation. Black got pink hair even when he is in a 100% Saiyan body, got an ability to grow as strong as he needed to even when nor Zumasu or Goku have it, Trunks got blue+ golden transformation because reasons.

They do when you combine the Saiyan physical potential with the heart and mind of a kaioshin. Keep in mind that ki is essentially psychic energy manifesting as a physical force and Black's ki is not that of Goku's. He's combined the physical potential of Saiyan genes with the ki of a "true god". His power boosts are meant to be a result of this combination. Zenkai probably plays a role here but likely the combo of kaioshin/saiyan makes his own Zenkai boosts surpass Goku and Vegeta's at their current state because they're limited by being natural Saiyans.

Also, Vegeta finally kicking the shit out of Black and making Zamasu realize just how petty he really is that he chose the inferior Saiyan body.
