World Trigger's back. Stuff in the pastebin has been reuploaded.
Amalgam of Distortion is a new series in WSJ this week, authored by Ryo Ishiyama. Next week there'll be a new series called Spring Weapon No. 1 by Tomohiro Yagi.
Ishiyama is not a rookie, Tomohiro is. Oddly, he's actually the mangaka of Red Sprite (and Iron Knight, an axed series). So, he's running two series at once? I don't know if this other thing is in Weekly Shounen Jump.

Then Viz fucked up badly.
Here's the preview image
Thanks for the dump.
Osamu you need to look better for team pictures like this.
oh right, thanks for reminding me
He's either silent or stand-offish. Honestly he still looks like he'll turn on them on the first chance but they all decided to ignore it for now and live their fantasy of the usual foe into friend cliche. It's kinda funny in a meta way.
>Osamu just wants results.
I just don't like how he gives in from the first minute. It's been 17 volumes already, would it really be that bad if he could get a bit of respect/authority at least?
>I just don't like how he gives in from the first minute.
Osamu dosen't really give in. He just isn't to cause a problem when one hasn't occurred yet because he probably thinks Hyuse knows what he is doing
Well I guess there's two predictable way this could go. Either Hyuse messes up or he is right. It'd obviously better not be the latter because it'll look pretty bad if Osamu can't even be the brains of this team.
If the engineers are back for the next chapter, that they have in-manga around a week of pause before the next round (if I remember right), and that Hyuse is looking to complete his trigger set, doesn't that mean that the next chapter will be about Border trigger technology and about the combination of triggers that Osamu talked about just after the defeat against the top teams ?
Thanks anon, doing god's work
That's why he's failing his college classes.
And Ikoma sticking out his tongue in >>148383553
Viza must've drilled into him to not b arrogant. He knows he's out of practice, and that none of his opponents were able to show off their full power. When it comes to pure sword skill he might be in the top ranks, but he knows border's strength comes from their ability to adapt to most circumstances due to the myriad of triggers that they an use instead of just one facet.
I'd definitely recommend it since boss expeditions are nowhere near as time consuming and are actually a challenge. Just don't expect to place anywhere above C-Rank unless you pull in ~5k points per expedition. The competition has really increased lately
Is it still a fuck ton for a game's been around for over a year?
Oh well, good for them. The gameplay is a ton of fun if you can accept the fact that the gatcha may never give you the 5-6 star version of your favorite characters.
>all time record for a single expedition was ~2k after sustaining no damage, perfect hits, and a 20 hit combo
I'll guess I'll just continue hoarding those 400 golden gatcha points from those first few weeks when S and A ranks were actually doable
>Is it still a fuck ton for a game's been around for over a year?
Of course it's nothing when you compare it to an app that's released worldwide, but for Japan it's a lot.
But are you sure it's 5 millions?
>But are you sure it's 5 millions?
Looks like it
meant 5k for three expedition stamina bars
The new expedition system is definitely an improvement. I don't need to wake up in the middle of the night anymore to be able to get all the expedition rewards. It's great.
>Next Week: Blue Team
>my current optimal green team consists of a ragtag assortment of 5 stars that aren't close to being maxed out yet
>most of them a crappier defense stat than my 4 star (+6) Osamu
Screw it, I'll give it a shot. Maybe my 6 star almost maxed out Miwa can help make Expeditions great again
Pro tip: Red bosses have the highest difficulty modifier for blue weeks. Green has the second highest and Blue bosses will have the lowest difficulty modifier. So a blue team that can take down a red boss fast while handling the blue trion soldiers is a good idea.
Luckily I have a decent blue team ready to go.
>I don't need to wake up in the middle of the night anymore to be able to get all the expedition rewards
Oh man, I remember spending one week waking up at 6 am and obsessively checking the timer whenever I could so I could get that S-rank gatcha bonus just once.
Never did it again. I'll take sleep and my 10 golden participation points any day.
Nice. I shouldn't complain about all the cool stuff I've won, but I'm just salty that I'll probably never get the entire Tamakoma gang in all their five-six star glory.
>that 7 star Shinoda
I feel inspired
Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware that you could choose which color you want to be. I saw Shinoda on the banner and assumed he was gonna be the boss fight
Yeah, I mean I guess Jin and Hyuse count, and I do have 5 star Yuma but Osamu's only trigger is his default 2 star.
The major problem I'm facing is trigger level, both Hyuse and Jin are stuck at lv 4 and I don't have parts to make them go higher and I don't know where to get them.
I think every day during a certain time frame special quests open up where you can farm chips at all sorts of levels, but the color changes each day.
You can also send characters on Away Missions for specific chip colors and levels. That's where I get most of my purple chips since I always forget which day the Purple Chip quests appear on.
If anything you can always replay the early story mode quests. IMO that's the best way to rack up Level 1 and 2 chips.
Wait I thought the Away Missions give random chips? The only reward they mention is the amount of Trion.
Yeah I have an abundance of those, I know the 6 stars need higher level chips but I don't think there's a fixed method to get the ones you need.
That's one of the things I don't like about the gatcha, the more characters they add the harder it is to get a particular character that you want
I think it's been months since I've rolled Chika or Osamu from it
Maybe you haven't unlocked them yet. You can choose them by color or level if your Base is a high enough level
You'll have to build them first, but they're those green puddles you see in everyone's base.
The trick is to wittle down the enemy's hp but not kill it. Increasing the levels of your green puddle helps, too.
Oh that, thanks.
Ah now I see them.
So like this is my Hyuse, so it's saying that he need level 2 red chip, but I have it and can't upload it on him, why is that?
I'm sorry, I should've been specific. The colored-chip events are all day... except for purples.
>Purple chip quests/outfit points occur irregularly, on Monday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, between 6pm to 10pm (Japan time)
What he needs is a Level 1, 2-star chip. The chips are added in order in the trigger, starting from Level 1.
So since the red-chip quests are going on right now, go do the lowest level quest for it.
So this means we know the top 7 attackers right
7.Midorikawa? since he was 9721(9985 before losing to Kuga) at chapter 93 and we can probably assume he hit 10k
Tsuji is so fucking cute
I want to fuck Konami
For comparison, Starlight Stage hit 10 million three months after its release. It still has a pretty steadily growing player base a year in now.
Granted, a game like Smash Borders is much more niche than Idolmaster and not as accessible as a rhythm game.
I mean, they don't really trust him at all. They spell that out pretty plainly. They acknowledge the danger but Chika gave the okay because it's their only choice. But Osamu needs to get on the Expedition and Hyuse is the only way his Squad can match the top B-Ranks in time. And Yuma is just irreverent as he always is, making light of the situation.
They DO expect something to go down when they get to Hyuse's homeworld but until then they're kind of stuck with having to work with him. T2 are being pretty cordial with him, which is the best thing they can do, but he's still pretty clearly being kept at arms reach.
Fate Grand Order is barely reaching 5 millions last I checked anon, and it's a major otaku franchise.
Other anime games rarely get that.
Idolmaster is a video game franchise, of course it will always have more presence in the video game world. World Trigger is a licensed anime game, they're rarely that popular.. I mean the Bleach mobage is a success but that's about it I think.
