So I decided to put in a bit of effort yesterday and make a decent colour wallpaper thing.
I took my favourite scene in the manga, stretched it up to 1080, retraced every single fucking line and detail like the autist I am, and coloured it in. I got lazy and didn't bother doing any shadows or shading and the background is just a simple gradient.
I used the anime colours too, because it was far easier to colour pick from a single anime screenshot then hunt down hundreds of colour manga pages.
I hope I didn't miss anything.

Damn, thank you so much for doing this OP. Gash is what inspired my love for chinese cartoons as a kid, and it's the reason I picked up drawing later as a teen. Getting to reread it with all of you was wonderful, so thank you to OP and everyone else for the great time!

No one actually knows for sure but there are three theories:

- "Gash" is a vulgar slang is some countries

- "Zatch" sounds similar to "zap" so it fits the electricity motif.

- It was pretty much the only way to have Kiyomaro accidentally activate the book the first time make sense

In japanese he says fu(zakeru)na (don't mess with me)

in the dub he says something like "get out (zach or) whatever your name is"
